In this paper, we focused on the identification of the normal and abnormal glow discharge modes in a neon-xenon gas mixture at low pressure. We considered four gas mixtures： 90%Ne-10%Xe, 80%Ne-20%Xe, 70%Ne-30%Xe and 50%Ne-50%Xe at 1.5 Torr. The range of the gap voltage is 150-500 V. A one-dimensional fluid model with multiple species was used in this work, and the metastable state of the atoms as well as the radiation effects were integrated into the model too. The input data changed for each percentage in the gas mixture, and was calculated by bOLSIG＋ software. The parameters of particle transport and their rate coefficients strictly depend on the mean electron energy. The results show that the neon ion density is negligible compared to the xenon ion density, mostly in the case of 50%Ne-50%Xe.

Physiological Studies on Ratoonability of Sugarcane Varieties under Tropical Indian Condition

The ratoon crop occupies approximately 40% of the total area of sugarcane crop in tropical India. The main reason for the lower average cane productivity is the yield decline in ratoon crops (40 - 50 t/ha) despite the release of the high yielding varieties and advanced cane production technology. The physiological factors associated with ratooning performance and the variation in growth and yield were studied in 11 sugarcane varieties in two cycles of one plant and two ratoon crops each. The first ratoon and second ratoon crop showed 17.0% and 28.1% reduction in tiller production and 15.5% and 15.7% reduction in NMC, respectively, over plant crop. The differences in growth parameters between the plant and ratoon crops at the formative phase were lesser than that of grand growth and maturity phases. Varieties Co 86032, Co 97008, Co 95020 Co 99004 and Co 2000-10 showed better physiological efficiency in terms of plant height, shoot population, leaf size, TDMP, partitioning efficiency, chlorophyll content and nitrate reductase activity and significantly higher yield components such as NMC, SCW, cane length, internodal length as well as cane yield compared to other varieties. The higher reduction in ratoon yield in Co 99008, Co 94012, Co 8021 and Co 97009 (>35.00% reduction) was due to higher reduction in tiller production associated with stunted plant growth and root system, reducetion in individual leaf size and LAI, TDMP, total chlorophyll content, NMC, internodal length and SCW. The results obtained indicated that the plant height, TDMP, stem partitioning, leaf size, total chlorophyll content, SCW, cane length and cane girth were highly associated with yield of first and second ratoon crops than that of plant crop. Therefore the difference in the association between physiological parameters with yield of plant and ratoon crops therefore decides the ratooning potential of the crop.

Introduction: Primary polydipsia, frequently observed in patients with schizophrenia, can cause severe hyponatremia, leading to serious complications. Objective: This study reviews the management and prevalence of psychogenic polydipsia, focusing on treatments and clinical outcomes. Methods: Following the PRISMA guidelines, studies on polydipsia in psychiatric patients were included. Data were extracted from databases such as PubMed and Scopus, and a meta-analysis was performed. Results: Fifteen studies were analyzed, totaling 586 patients. The use of urea was effective in correcting hyponatremia, while antipsychotics showed mixed results. Heterogeneity between studies was moderate (I2 = 56%). Conclusion: Psychogenic polydipsia is a severe condition in schizophrenic patients. The use of urea has shown promise, but further studies are needed to optimize treatments.

In aquaculture, feed represents the main component of production costs, and the development of this sector depends on the development of an economical feed formulation that meets the qualitative and quantitative requirements of fish. The aim of this study was to determine the nutritive and microbiological quality of fish feed formulated from local flours enriched with Hermetia illucens larvae. The raw materials used for formulation were fishmeal, corn meal, low-grade rice, soybean meal and Hermetia illucens larvae meal. Different iso-protein feed compositions were prepared with 0%, 10%, 25%, 35%, 50%, 65%, 75% and 100% incorporation of Hermetia illucens larvae meal as a substitute for fish meal. biochemical and microbiological analyses of these flours were determined using standard methods. The results showed that incorporation of larvae meal had an influence on the biochemical characteristics ash (8.15 to 20.27%), lipid (11.55 to 24.94%), fiber (13.93 to 20.41%) and dry matter (89.65 to 91.19%) of various formulated feed. Loads of fecal Streptococci, Staphylococci, Aeromonas, yeasts and molds ranged from 2.4 to 4.9 log 10 CFU/g;3.6 to 3.9 log 10 CFU/g;2.2 to 2.7 log 10 CFU/g;2.1 to 2.3 log 10 CFU/g, respectively. The level of contamination of these flours was below the microbiological criteria applicable to animal feed. Feed formulated with 0% and 10% Hermetia illucens larvae showed the best nutritive and microbiological characteristics. These results suggest that flours enriched with Hermetia illucens larvae could be used in fish feed.

background: India is a high Tb (tuberculosis) burden country. The advent of HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus) and DR-Tb (drug resistant Tb) has worsened the ongoing Tb control efforts. A study was conducted to (a) to determine the duration for developing drug resistant Tb after diagnosis of HIV (b) to ascertain the patients status after one year of DR-Tb treatment in Karnataka, India. Methods: It is a retrospective cross-sectional study involving review of records and reports at ART (Anti-retroviral treatment) centres and DR-Tb centres in Karnataka during the period 2013-2014. Results: The median time from being known as HIV positive to being diagnosed as DR-Tb was 1168 days (IQR: 571 - 1955). At the end of 14 months, nearly 39% of patients had died and 49% of patients were on treatment. Conclusion: The National Health programmes should prioritize monitoring of the HIV/Tb patients and develop appropriate novel strategies for community involvement.

Polymers of intrinsic microporosity （PIMs） are a class of porous organic polymer （POP） that form microporous solids due to the inefficient packing of their rigid and contorted macromolecular chains. In contrast to other types of POP, PIMs are not comprised of a network of cross-linked covalent bonds so that they can be dissolved in organic solvents and processed into robust films, coatings or fibres. Here, over twelve years＇ accumulated research on the synthesis of PIMs is reviewed. To date, three types of polymerisation reaction have been used successfully to prepare PIMs of sufficient molecular mass to form robust self-standing films. These involve the formation of dibenzodioxin, Tr6ger＇s base and imide linkages between monomeric units. This rapid development of synthetic methods for preparing PIMs has been driven by their rich potential for numerous diverse applications and this synergistic relationship between synthesis and functionality is set to continue.

background One issue in invasive plant ecology is identification of the factors related to the invasion process that increase number of non-native *** invasion by non-native species increases,so does the probability that some non-native species will become harmful,or classified as invasive species,which disrupt natural ecosystems with attendant economic and social costs.I quantified patterns of how non-native species richness varied with vegetation types and human *** evaluate the relative importance of different predictor variables for invasion pathways in the conterminous United States,I modeled non-native plant species richness by county compared to current and historical human populations;greenhouses and nurseries;railroads,pipelines,transmission lines,and oil and gas wells;and land covers of impervious surface,development intensity categories,agriculture,and vegetation types.I also modeled these variables within vegetation types,excluding vegetation *** To summarize patterns,non-native plant species richness increased from 72 to 200 with increasing human population density *** and forest land use mosaics had the greatest mean number of non-native plant species,ranging from 121 to 166,whereas grasslands and grassland mosaics had the least number of non-native plant species,about *** modeling variable importance,all combined variables had R^(2)values of 56%(random forests regressor)and 54%(cubist regressor)for predictions of withheld observations of non-native plant species rich-ness,with greenhouse density and percent forestlands as most influential *** variables of greenhouses(R^(2)=29%),historical and current human populations(R^(2)=27%and 23%),impervious surface(25%),and medium intensity development(23%)were most associated with non-native plant species *** vegetation types,greenhouse and historical human population densities were influential variables particularly in forestlands,shrubland
