Objective: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition of insufficient penile erection, consistently or recurrently, for sexual activity. Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TnF-α) induces transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β), which causes the transition of epithelial cells into mesenchymal cells that affect ED. This study aimed to evaluate the roles of TnF-α, TGF-β, degree of lower urinary tract symptoms, and prostatic volume for the presence of ED in benign prostatic hyperplasia (bPH) ***: Our study performed an analytic observational retrospective cohort study using secondary data from four hospitals in bali, Indonesia, including medical records and other administrative data. The sample was bPH patients with several history ***: Our sample was 83 respondents, ranging from 50 years to 80 years, 61 respondents with ED and 22 with non-ED. The International Prostate Symptom Score showed a significant result, which indicates that ED is more common in patients with higher International Prostate Symptom Score (p=0.002). Moreover, the TnF-α of ≥43.9 pg/mg and TGF-β of ≥175.8 pg/mL were significantly associated with the presence of ED in bPH patients (pnot significant with ED (p=0.947).Conclusion: TnF-α, TGF-β, and lower urinary tract symptoms severity can predict the occurrence of ED in bPH, while prostatic volume was not significant.

Hepatitis b virus （HbV） infection is a global public health problem that concerns 350 million people worldwide. Individuals with chronic hepatitis b （Crib） are at increased risk of developing liver cirrhosis, hepatic de-compensation and hepatocellular carcinoma. To maintain undetectable viral load reduces chronic infection complications. There is no treatment that eradicates HbV infection. Current drugs are expensive, are associated with adverse events, and are of limited efficacy. Current guidelines try to standardize the clinical practice. nevertheless, controversy remains about management of asymptomatic patients with Crib who are hepatitis b e antigen （HbeAg）-positive with normal alanine aminotransferase, and what is the cut-off value of viral load to distinguish HbeAg- negative Crib patients and inactive carriers. We discuss in detail why DnA level alone is not sufficient to begin treatment of Crib.

Two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMD)are atomically thin semiconductors with promising optoelectronic applications across the visible ***,their intrinsically weak light absorption and the low photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)restrict their performance and potential use,especially in ultraviolet(UV)wavelength light *** dots(QD)derived from 2D materials(2D/QD)provide efficient light absorption and emission of which energy can be tuned for desirable light *** this study,we greatly enhanced the photon absorption and PLQY of monolayer(1L)tungsten disulfide(WS_(2))in the UV range via hybridization with 2D/QD,particularly titanium nitride MXene QD(Ti_(2)n MQD)and graphitic carbon nitride QD(GCnQD).With the hybridization of MQD or GCnQD,1LWS_(2)showed a maximum PL enhancement by 15 times with 300 nm wavelength excitation,while no noticeable enhancement was observed when the excitation photon energy was less than the bandgap of the QD,indicating that UV absorption by the QD played a crucial role in enhancing the light emission of 1L-WS_(2)in our 0D/2D hybrid *** findings present a convenient method for enhancing the photo-response of 1L-WS_(2)to UV light and offer exciting possibilities for harvesting UV energy using 1L-TMD.

Since indoor clothing insulation is a key element in thermal comfort models,the aim of the present study is proposing an approach for predicting it,which could assist the occupants of a building in terms of recommendations regarding their *** that,a systematic analysis of input variables is exposed,and 13 regression and 12 classification machine learning algorithms were developed and *** results are based on data from 3352 questionnaires and 21 input variables from a field study in mixed-mode office buildings in *** temperature at 6 a.m.,indoor air temperature,indoor relative humidity,comfort temperature and gender were the most relevant features for predicting clothing *** comparing machine learning algorithms,decision tree-based algorithms with boosting techniques achieved the best *** proposed model provides an efficient method for forecasting the clothing insulation level and its application would entail optimising thermal comfort and energy efficiency.

Preliminary Application of High-Frequency Ultrasound in the Differentiation of Pemphigus and bullous Pemphigoid: An Observational Study

Objective: Ultrasonography is a diagnostic imaging technique used to visualize subcutaneous body structures for identification of possible pathologies. In this study, we aimed to explore the clinical significance of high-frequency ultrasound in differentiating the location of blisters between pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid. Methods: Eighteen patients were recruited in Department of Dermatology, Zhongda Hospital from 2020 to 2021 and divided into a pemphigus group (n = 8) and a bullous pemphigoid group (n = 10) according to the diagnostic criteria for each. Ultrasonographic images were collected using a 50-MHz high-frequency ultrasound system. The indexes of ultrasonic evaluation were the layer (epidermis or dermis), size, shape, internal echo, and boundary of the blister. Categorical variables are expressed as n (%), and differences were compared using Fisher's exact test. Results: The ultrasonographic images in the pemphigus group showed an intraepidermal semi-arc or irregular anechoic or hypoechoic areas. The inferior borders were situated above the characteristic thin linear hyperechoic bands of the epidermis. A linear hypoechoic band was present at the dermoepidermal junction in some cases. In the ultrasonographic images of the bullous pemphigoid group, the linear hyperechoic bands of the epidermis were continuous and intact. An oval fluid anechoic area (subepidermal blister) was present immediately below the bands. The location of the blisters in the ultrasonographic images was significantly different between the 2 groups (P nclusion: High-frequency ultrasound can be used as an auxiliary means to differentiate the location of blisters between pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid. © 2022 Hospital for Skin Diseases (Institute of Dermatology), Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and Chinese Medical Association, published by Wolters Kluwer, Inc.

Today, many eye diseases jeopardize our everyday lives, such as Diabetic Retinopathy (DR), Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), and *** is an incurable and unavoidable eye disease that damages the vision ofoptic nerves and quality of life. Classification of Glaucoma has been an active fieldof research for the past ten years. Several approaches for Glaucoma classification areestablished, beginning with conventional segmentation methods and feature-extraction to deep-learning techniques such as Convolution neural networks (Cnn). Incontrast, Cnn classifies the input images directly using tuned parameters of convolution and pooling layers by extracting features. but, the volume of training datasetsdetermines the performance of the Cnn;the model trained with small datasets,overfit issues arise. Cnn has therefore developed with transfer learning. The primary aim of this study is to explore the potential of Efficientnet with transfer learning for the classification of Glaucoma. The performance of the current workcompares with other models, namely VGG16, InceptionV3, and Xception usingpublic datasets such as RIM-OnEV2 & V3, ORIGA, DRISHTI-GS1, HRF, andACRIMA. The dataset has split into training, validation, and testing with the ratioof 70:15:15. The assessment of the test dataset shows that the pre-trained Efficientnetb4 has achieved the highest performance value compared to other models listedabove. The proposed method achieved 99.38% accuracy and also better results forother metrics, such as sensitivity, specificity, precision, F1_score, Kappa score, andArea Under Curve (AUC) compared to other models.

The Ag-50wt%Cu hypereutectic alloy was solidified and investigated in a 3 m drop tube, and its nucleation and microstructure characteristics were explored also. The results showed that (1) with the decrease of droplet size, the structural morphology transforms from the dendrites with long trunk and thin short secondary arms to fine dendritic structures; (2) the dendritic growth is mainly controlled by solute diffusion within the whole undercooling regime, while the influence of thermal diffusion-controlled growth becomes stronger above a critical undercooling about 268 K; (3) the refinement of dendritic structure is caused by large amounts of nuclei within droplet; (4) when droplet diameter is smaller than 300 micron, the undercooling and growth velocity were estimated to be greater than 268 K and 290 mm/s respectively, while the solute trapping effect may occur.
