Magnesium(Mg)and its alloys are now becoming the promising choice for various structural applications due to their low density and high specific strength compared with other light metals such as aluminum and its *** all Mg alloys,AZ(aluminum and zinc)series is the most widely used alloy system for various structural ***,machining of magnesium and its alloys involves certain issues due to their brittle nature and risk of inflammability unlike other nonferrous ***,alloys with considerable amount of secondary phase may exhibit different machining characteristics during metal cutting *** the present study,two AZ series alloys AZ31 and AZ91 were selected and drilling operation was performed to assess the effect of the secondary phase amount and distribution on machining *** operation was carried out at different sets of process parameters and cutting forces were obtained and the chips which have been produced during drilling were *** the results,it can be clearly understood that the presence of secondary phase(Mg_(17)Al_(12))has a significant influence on cutting *** in cutting speed has reduced the required cutting force and load fluctuations in all the cases.

A stability-indicating RP-HPLC method was developed and validated lbr the determination of Rufinamide in tablet dosage forms using C 18 column （250 mm x 4.6 mm, 5 μm） wilh mobile phase consisting of water acetonitrile （40：60, v/v） with a [low rate of 0.8 mL/min （UV detection 215 nm）. Linearity was observed over the concentration range 1.0 200 μg/mL （R2=0.9997） with regression equation y-113190 x＋63053. Rufinamide was subjected to stress conditions including acidic, alkaline, oxidation, photolysis and thermal degradation. Rufinaraide is more sensitive towards acidic degradation. The method was validated as per ICH guidelines.

background and Aim: Determination of the etiology of proximal biliary strictures (PbS) still remains a challenge. Even though EUS-FNA is potentially useful, its role in diagnostic evaluation of PbS is still not established due to a lack of sufficient data. We sought to determine the performance characteristics of EUS-FNA in patients with obstructive jaundice (ObJ) and PbS. Patients and Methods: This is a retrospective analysis and included patients with ObJ and PbS with non-diagnostic brush cytology, who underwent EUS-FNA in our university based practice from March 2002 to February 2009. We evaluated the final diagnoses in study patients and the performance characteristics of EUS-FNA for identifying malignant PbS. Final diagnosis was based on surgical pathology or clinical follow-up of at least 12 months. Results: The study included 28 patients (17 male, 11 female) with mean age of 62.4 ± 14.9 years. The strictures ranged from 10 - 70 mm in length. CT scan identified a hilar mass in 9 patients. EUS-FNA identified malignancy in 12 patients. 18 patients were finally diagnosed to have a malignant stricture and 10 patients had a benign stricture. There were 6 false negative diagnoses. The accuracy of EUS-FNA for diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma was 78.6%, with 66.6% sensitivity, 100% specificity, 62.5% NPV and 100% PPV. Conclusions: EUS-FNA can diagnose malignancy in 66.6% of jaundiced patients with PbS and non-diagnostic brush cytology and may have a role in their further diagnostic evaluation.

bACkGROUND Cannabis use has increased among young individuals in recent *** dependent cannabis use disorder(CUD)has been associated with various cardiac events,its effects on young adults without concurrent substance use remain *** To examine trends in hospitalizations for major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events(MACCE)in this *** used the National Inpatient Sample(2016-2019)to identify hospitalized young individuals(18-44 years),excluding those with concurrent substance usage(tobacco,alcohol,and cocaine).They were divided into CUD+and CUD-.Using International Classification of Diseases-10 codes,we examined the trends in MACCE hospitalizations,including all-cause mortality(ACM),acute myocardial infarction(AMI),cardiac arrest(CA),and acuteischemic stroke(AIS).RESULTSOf 27.4 million hospitalizations among young adults without concurrent substance abuse,4.2%(1.1 million)hadco-existent *** CUD+group,hospitalization rates for MACCE(1.71%vs 1.35%),AMI(0.86%vs 0.54%),CA(0.27%vs 0.24%),and AIS(0.49%vs 0.35%)were higher than in CUD-group(Pble between 2016 and *** CUD+group had higher rates of MACCE,but the rising trends were more apparent in the CUD-group ***,the CUD+group had lower ACM rates than the CUD-group.

The combination of kidney paired donation(kPD) with desensitization represents a promising method of increasing the rate of living donor kidney transplantation(LDkT) in immunologically challenging patients. Patients who are difficult to match and desensitize due to strong donor specific antibody are may be transplanted by a combination of desensitization and kPD protocol with more immunologically favorable donor. We present our experience of combination of desensitization protocol with three-way kPD which contributed to successful LDkT in highly sensitized end stage renal disease patient. All recipients were discharged with normal and stable allograft function at 24 mo follow up. We believe that this is first report from India where three-way kPD exchange was performed with the combination of kPD and desensitization. The combination of desensitization protocol with kPD improves access and outcomes of LDkT.
