next-generation advanced high/pulsed power capacitors urgently require dielectric materials with outstanding energy storage ***_(0.5)na_(0.5)TiO_(3)-based lead-free materials exhibit high polarization,but the high remanent polarization and large polarization hysteresis limit their applications in dielectric ***,high-entropy perovskite relaxor ferroelectrics(na_(0.2)bi_(0.2)ba_(0.2)Sr_(0.2)Ca_(0.2))(Ti1-x%Zrx%)O_(3)are designed by adding multiple ions in the A-site and replacing the b-site Ti^(4+)with a certain amount of Zr^(4+).The newly designed system showed high relaxor feature and slim polarization-electric(P-E)***,improved relaxor feature and obviously delayed polarization saturation were found with the increasing of Zr^(4+).Of particular importance is that both high recoverable energy storage density of 6.6 J/cm^(3) and energy efficiency of 93.5%were achieved under 550 kV/cm for the ceramics of x=6,accompanying with excellent frequency stability,appreciable thermal stability,and prosperous discharge *** work not only provides potential dielectric materials for energy storage applications,but also offers an effective strategy to obtain dielectric ceramics with ultrahigh comprehensive energy storage performance to meet the demanding requirements of advanced energy storage applications.

Phomaketals A(1)and b(2),two tropolonic meroterpenoids with the unprecedented pentacyclic skeletons,were isolated from the solid-substrate fermentation cultures of a eupC overexpressed mutant strain of the fungus Phoma sp.,together with a biogenetically related secondary metabolite pughiinin b(3),and the known one noreupenifeldin b(4).The structures of 1–3 were elucidated primarily by nuclear magnetic resonance(nMR)*** absolute configurations of 1 and 2 were assigned by electronic circular dichroism calculations and the calculated nMR with DP4+analysis,while that of 3 was established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis using Cu Kα***,phomaketals A(1)and b(2)could be derived from the hypothetical tropolonic sesquiterpene intermediates neosetophomone b(6)and 9-R-neosetophomone b(6),respectively,via different reactions *** 1 showed antiproliferative effect only against the SUPb15 cells,with an 50%inhibitory concentration(IC50)value of 4.85μmol/L,while the co-isolated known meroterpenoid 4 displayed potent effects against three tumor cell lines,SUPb15,EL4,and H9,showing IC50values of 0.36–27.08μmol/L.

The transient heat transfer behaviours in a packed bed have been studied using coupled computational fluid dynamics(CFD)and discrete element method(DEM).Intra-particle thermal diffusion,which is a crucial but rarely explored issue,is considered by introducing a one-dimensional diffusion equation in the DEM *** achieve a sufficiently long physical time of simulations,we further reduce the computational cost by applying periodic boundary condition to a small segment of the packed *** study demonstrates a shifting peak heat flow rate from the bottom to the top of the packed bed during the initial warming *** affirm that the influence of thermal diffusion within a particle is noteworthy only for particles exhibiting a high biot number(e.g.,bi=1.2).This insight enriches our understanding of heat transfer mechanisms in packed beds and their practical engineering applications.

Study of hybrid nanofluid flow in a stationary cone-disk system with temperature-dependent fluid properties

Cone-disk systems find frequent use such as conical diffusers,medical devices,various rheometric,and viscosimetry *** this study,we investigate the three-dimensional flow of a water-based Ag-Mg O hybrid nanofluid in a static cone-disk system while considering temperature-dependent fluid *** the variable fluid properties affect the dynamics and heat transfer features is studied by Reynolds's linearized model for variable viscosity and Chiam's model for variable thermal *** single-phase nanofluid model is utilized to describe convective heat transfer in hybrid nanofluids,incorporating the experimental *** model is developed as a coupled system of convective-diffusion equations,encompassing the conservation of momentum and the conservation of thermal energy,in conjunction with an incompressibility condition.A self-similar model is developed by the Lie-group scaling transformations,and the subsequent self-similar equations are then solved *** influence of variable fluid parameters on both swirling and non-swirling flow cases is ***,the nusselt number for the disk surface is *** is found that an increase in the temperature-dependent viscosity parameter enhances heat transfer characteristics in the static cone-disk system,while the thermal conductivity parameter has the opposite effect.

The great catastrophe: causes of the Permo-Triassic marine mass extinction

The marine losses during the Permo-Triassic mass extinction were the worst ever experienced. All groups were badly affected, especially amongst the benthos(e.g. brachiopods, corals, bryozoans, foraminifers,ostracods). Planktonic populations underwent a fundamental change with eukaryotic algae being replaced by nitrogen-fixing bacteria, green-sulphur bacteria, sulphate-reducing bacteria and prasinophytes. Detailed studies of boundary sections, especially those in South China, have resolved the crisis to a ～55 kyr interval straddling the Permo-Triassic boundary. Many of the losses occur at the beginning and end of this interval painting a picture of a two-phase extinction. Improved knowledge of the extinction has been supported by numerous geochemical studies that allow diverse proposed extinction mechanisms to be studied. A transition from oxygenated to anoxic-euxinic conditions is seen in most sections globally, although the intensity and timing shows regional variability. Decreased ocean ventilation coincides with rapidly rising temperatures and many extinction scenarios attribute the losses to both anoxia and high *** kill mechanisms include ocean acidification for which there is conflicting support from geochemical proxies and, even less likely, siltation(burial under a massive influx of terrigenous sediment) which lacks substantive sedimentological evidence. The ultimate driver of the catastrophic changes at the end of the Permian was likely Siberian Trap eruptions and their associated carbon dioxide emissions with consequences such as warming, ocean stagnation and acidification. Volcanic winter episodes stemming from Siberian volcanism have also been linked to the crisis, but the short-term nature of these episodes(nd the overwhelming evidence for rapid warming during the crisis makes this an unlikely cause. Finally, whilst the extinction is well studied in equatorial latitudes, a different history is found in northern boreal latitudes

This article,we develop an optimal policy to control the service rate of a discrete time queueing-inventory system with finite *** customers arrive according to a bernoulli process and the service time for the customers are *** the buffer size attains its maximum,any arriving new customers are considered to be *** customers are served one by one according to FCFS rule and each customers request random number of *** inventory is replenished according to a(s,Q)inventory policy with geometric lead *** main objectives of this article are to determine the service rates to be employed at each slot so that the long run expected cost rate is minimized for fixed inventory level and fixed buffer size and to minimize the expected waiting time for a fixed inventory level and fixed buffer *** problems are modelled as Markov decision *** establish the existence of a stationary policy and employ linear programming method to find the optimal service *** provide some numerical examples to illustrate the behaviour of the model.

A study of the inelastic scattering of neutrons with an energy of 14.1 MeV on the nuclei of oxygen,phosphorus,and sulfur was performed at the TAngRA facility at JInR(Dubna).The experiment aimed to refine existing data and obtain new data on the yields and angular distributions ofγ-quanta emitted by the studied nuclei due to neutron-induced nuclear reactions using the tagged neutron *** types of detector systems were used to registerγ-***γ-ray yields were measured using a high-purity germanium(HPge)*** angular distributions ofγ-rays were obtained using a system of 18 scintillation detectors based on bismuth germanite bi_(4)ge_(3)O_(12)(bgO)located around the *** performed experiments measured the yields of two transitions for the reaction of tagged neutrons with 16O,nine transitions for the reaction with ^(31)P,and nine transitions for the reaction with ^(32)S for the first *** angular anisotropy of theγ-radiation accompanying the inelastic scattering of neutrons with an energy of 14.1 MeV on ^(31)P nuclei was also measured for the first time.
