We examine the structural properties and half-life decay of Ra isotopes within the axially deformed Relativistic Mean-Field（RMF）theory with NL3 force *** work out the binding energy（bE）,RMS radii,two-neutron separation energies（S（2n））,and some other *** results are in good agreement with the finite-range droplet model（FRDM）and experimental *** the possibility of neutron magic number,theα-decay and cluster decay half-lives of Ra isotopes are calculated systematically using the Q-values obtained from the RMF *** decay half-life calculations are carried out by taking three different empirical *** calculated decay half-lives are found to be highly sensitive to the choice of *** shell or sub-shell closures are found at daughter nuclei with N=128 and N=126 when alpha and 8be,12C,18O respectively are emitted from Ra *** the cluster radioactivity is affected by the shell closure of parent and daughter,a long half-life indicates the stability of the parent,and a small parent half-life indicates that the shell stability of the daughter against decay.

A partial wave scattering matrix for the total effective complex potential of nucleus nucleus collisions is proposed to easily analyze the angular variations of elastic scattering and fusion cross-sections simultaneously with a unique *** expectation value of the imaginary part of the potential calculated using the distorted waves from the full potential in the elastic channel accounts for σ_(r).This is equated to the sum of the cross-sections due to absorption in different regions of the potential where the imaginary part is actively *** potential is taken as energy independent and features a weakly absorbing nature,which supports the resonance states in various partial wave ***,these resonances show oscillatory behavior changes with respect to energy D(E_(c.m.))=d^(2)(E_(c.m.)σ_(fus))/dE_(c.m.)^(2).In this paper,we discuss elastic scattering and fusion cross-sections in conjunction with the results of D(E_(c.m.))for the^(16)+^(92)Zr system.

Liquid-solid fluidized beds are used in mineral processing industries to separate particles based on parti- cle size, density, and shape. Understanding the expanded fluidized bed is vital for accurately assessing its performance. Expansion characteristics of the fluidized bed were studied by performing several experi- ments with iron ore, chromite, quartz, and coal samples. Using water as liquid medium, experiments were conducted to study the effects of particle size, particle density, and superficial velocity on fluidized bed expansion. The experimental data were utilized to develop an empirical mathematical model based on dimensional analysis to estimate the expansion ratio of the fluidized bed in terms of particle character- istics, operating and design parameters. The predicted expansion ratio obtained from the mathematical model is in good agreement with the experimental data.

The quality of coke affects the performance of the blast furnace, factors affecting coke quality include coal properties, coal charge granulometry and carbonization conditions. The coke properties in elude the size analysis, cold strength (Micum Indices-M4(). MI0) and hot strength (Coke Reactivity Index-CRI, Coke Strength after Reaction-CSR) properties and structural properties such as coke structure and texture. Structural properties comprise the porosity, pore-cell wall thickness and pore sizes, while textures consist of the carbon forms in the coke. In present work, advanced method such as image analysis method was used to interpret coke microstructure. Conventional methods such as determination of coke porosity by measurement of real and apparent density and mercury porosimetry have a number of limitations. Coke size, magnification, number of image frames captured, process of pellet preparations and coke properties such as M4(), M|0, CRI and CSR (low, medium and high values) were taken as variables for experimental purposes. The coke structure parameters such as porosity, length, perimeter, breadth, roundness, pore-wall thickness and pore size distribution of the pores were determined by image analysis method. This method provided average porosity in addition to pore-wall thickness and pore-size distribution. The pore wall thickness measuremenl by image analysis method provided significant correlations with M40, CRI and CSR values. This explained the usability of image analysis for coke structure measurement.

A facile and green approach has been developed for the in situ synthesis of hybrid nanomaterials based on dendrite-shaped Pd nanostructures supported on graphene （RG）. The as-synthesized hybrid nanomaterials （RG-PdnDs） have been thoroughly characterized by high resolution transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscop）~ atomic force microscop）~ Raman spectroscopy and electrochemical techniques. The mechanism of formation of such dendrite- shaped Pd nanostructures on the graphene support has been elucidated using transmission electron microscopy （TEM） measurements. The RG induces the formation of, and plays a decisive role in shaping, the dendrite morphology of Pd nanostructures on its surface. Cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry techniques have been employed to evaluate the electrochemical performance of RG-PdnDs towards oxidation of methanol. The electrochemical （EC） activities of RG-PdnDs are compared with graphene-supported spherical-shaped Pd nanostructures, Pd nanodendrites alone and a commercial available Pd/C counterpart. The combined effect of the graphene support and the dendrite morphology of RG-PdnDs triggers the high electrocatalytic activity and results in robust tolerance to CO poisoning.

Efforts have been made to prepare nanocomposites of a-Fe2O3-ZnO by wet chemical route with varying concentrations of the *** microstructural properties of the samples are investigated by powder X-ray diffractometry（PXRD） and Transmission electron *** concentration of Zn ions（up to 20 at%） leads to the formation of nanocomposites of a-Fe2O3 and *** of ZnFe2O4 phase is detected by the substitution of higher concentration of Zn2？（30 at%） in the *** average size of the nanoparticles remains in the range of 22–27 nm as obtained from XRD *** results obtained from electron microscopic studies are also close to these *** measurement shows the excitonic peak of ZnO around 390 nm which gets strengthened with Zn *** spectra show the metal–oxygen band below 700 *** temperature Mssbauer studies of the samples show the transition of iron oxide form antiferromagnetic state to paramagnetic state with increasing concentration of Zn2？.Sharp quenching of hyperfine field with Zn concentration is observed as the Hintvalue reduced to zero from 51 T.
