Atherosclerosis,its risk factors,and cognitive impairment in older adults

Objective To examine the association of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease(ASCVD)and its risk factors with cognitive impairment in older *** Six hundred and fourteen subjects,aged≥65 years,from one center(2016–2018)underwent clinical,laboratory assessments and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment(Mo CA).Using regression analysis,the relationship between ASCVD and its risk factors was evaluated in subjects with and without cognitive impairment(MoCA scoreb=-1.3 per 5 years,95%CI:-1.7 to-0.9,Pb=-1.6,95%CI:-3.0 to-0.3,P=0.01),and myocardial infarction(MI;b=-2.2,95%CI:-3.6 to-0.8,P=0.003)were independently associated with lower MoCA scores,whereas more education(b=1.5 per 3 years,95%CI:1.1 to 1.9,Pbody mass index(bMI;b=0.5 per 3 kg/m^2,95%CI:0.0 to 1.0,P=0.04),higher estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR;b=0.8 per 15 U,95%CI:0.1 to 1.4,P=0.03),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF;b=0.4 per 5%,95%CI:0 to 0.8,P=0.04)and statin use(b=1.3,95%CI:0.3 to 2.3,P=0.01)were associated with a higher MoCA *** impairment was independently associated with older age(OR=1.51 per 5 yrs,95%CI:1.28 to 1.79,PbMI(OR=0.78 per 3 kg/m^2,95%CI:0.62 to 0.98,P=0.03)and higher levels of high sensitivity c-reactive protein(hsCRP;OR=1.08 per 1 mg/L,95%CI:1.02 to 1.15,P=0.01).Conclusions beyond age,cognitive impairment was associated with prior MI/stroke,higher hsCRP,statin use,less education,lower eGFR,bMI and LVEF.

FK228 is an FDA-approved anticancer drug naturally produced by Chromobacterium violaceum No.968 up to 19 mg/L in a pilot industry-scale batch *** we report a genomics-guided discovery of burkholderia thailandensis MSMb43 as a new and significantly better source of *** genome of *** MSMb43 was found to contain a functional biosynthetic gene cluster highly homologous to that of FK228 in *** No.968,and the bacterium indeed produces authentic *** simple fermentation in shaking flasks in a preferred M8 medium,*** MSMb43 produced FK228 up to 67.7 mg/L;by fedbatch fermentation in a 20-L fermentor in M8 medium,*** MSMb43 produced FK228 up to 115.9 mg/L,which is 95 fold higher than that of *** No.968 under the same laboratory fermentation ***-PCR analysis indicated that the high FK228 yield of *** MSMb43 was due to high expression of biosynthetic genes,represented by bth_depA,during the fermentation *** genetic manipulation resulted in a recombinant strain,*** MSMb43/pbMTL3-tdpR,which harbors a broad host-range vector expressing the thailandepsin biosynthetic pathway regulatory gene *** engineered strain produced up to 168.5 mg/L of FK228 in fed-batch fermentation in a 20-L fermentor in M8 ***,the wild-type *** MSMb43 or its engineered derivative could potentially be a good starting point for an industrial process to improve FK228 production for its expanding use in therapy.

The Microstructure of lanthanum hexaboride(Lab6)polycrystalline has been studied by using transmission electron *** shows that the ideal Lab6 polycrystalline can be obtained by sintering ingots at the temperature of 2273 K for holding time of 120 min in Ar pressure of 800 Torr,where the ingots are formed by pressing Lab6 powder at room temperature at a pressure of 0.4-0.5 *** particles in Lab6 polycrystalline hardly bind;there are only a few of pores at the joint parts of three particles and a few of impurities exist in some *** sintering process for fabricating Lab6 polycrystalline is analysed and the formation of the pore and the impurities are studied from the point of surface tension.

Spinal cord injury(SCI)is one of the most devastating traumas,and the aberrant proliferation of astrocytes usually causes neurological ***,the mechanism underlying astrocyte over-proliferation after SCI is ***2c(glutamate ionotropic receptor type 2c)plays an essential role in cell *** bioinformatic analysis indicated that Grin2c and Ca^(2+)transport functions were inhibited in astrocytes after *** of Grin2c stimulated astrocyte proliferation by inhibiting the Ca^(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase 2b(CaMK2b)pathway in *** screening different inflammatory factors,interleukin 1α(IL1α)was further found to inhibit Grin2c/Ca^(2+)/CaMK2b and enhance astrocyte proliferation in an oxidative damage *** of IL1αusing neutralizing antibody resulted in increased Grin2c expression and the inhibition of astrocyte proliferation ***,this study suggests that IL1αpromotes astrocyte proliferation by suppressing the Grin2c/Ca^(2+)/CaMK2b pathway after SCI,revealing a novel pathological mechanism of astrocyte proliferation,and may provide potential targets for SCI repair.

随着自主水下机器人(AUV)和无人水面艇(USV)在民用和军事领域的应用不断扩展, USV与AUV协同完成相关任务的作业模式受到了广泛关注.针对多USV和多AUV协同访问多目标点的任务分配问题进行研究,旨在最小化多USV和AUV系统访问所有目标点的总旅行距离.首先,建立考虑通信约束和AUV最大航程约束的多USV多AUV协同多点访问任务分配问题的数学模型,并对问题的NP-hard属性进行分析.其次,提出一个两阶段任务分配算法:1)先利用最小边际代价算法构建各USV访问完所有水面目标点的路径,再采用最近插入策略分配水下目标点;2)通过多个邻域搜索算子对初始解进行优化,得到可行最终解.相对于已有流行的自组织映射算法,仿真实验表明所提出任务分配算法能在较短计算时间内得到质量较优的任务分配方案.

Investigating the p-? interactions and correlation functions

Motivated by experimental measurements, we investigate the p-? correlation functions and interactions on the basis of a quark model. by solving the inverse scattering problem with channel coupling, we renormalize the coupling to other channels into an effective single-channel p-? potentials. The effects of Coulomb interaction and spin-averaging are also discussed. According to our results, the depletion of the p-? correlation functions, which is attributed to the JP= 2+bound state not observed in the ALICE Collaboration's measurements(Nature 588, 232（2020）), can be explained by the contribution of the attractive JP= 1+component in spin-averaging. So far, we have provided a consistent description of the p-? system from the perspective of the quark model, including the energy spectrum, scattering phase shifts, and correlation functions. The existence of the p-? bound state has been supported by all three aspects. Additionally, a sign of the p-? correlation function's subtle sub-unity part can be seen in experimental measurements, which warrants more precise verification in the future.

background:In ruminants,dietary C18:3n-3 can be lost through biohydrogenation in the rumen;and C18:3n-3 that by-passes the rumen still can be lost through oxidation in muscle,theoretically reducing the deposition of C18:3n-3,the substrate for synthesis of poly-unsaturated fatty acids(n-3 LCPUFA)in *** vitro studies have shown that rumen hydrogenation of C18:3n-3 is reduced by supplementation with palm oil(rich in cis-9 C18:1).In addition,in hepatocytes,studies with neonatal rats have shown that cis-9 C18:1 inhibits the oxidation of C18:*** therefore seems likely that palm oil could reduce both rumen biohydrogenation of C18:3n-3 and muscle oxidation of C18:*** present experiment tested whether the addition of palm oil to a linseed oil supplement for goat kids would prevent the losses of C18:3n-3 and thus improve the FA composition in two muscles,Longissimus dorsi and biceps *** investigate the processes involved,we studied the rumen bacterial communities and measured the mRNA expression of genes related to lipid metabolism in Longissimus *** 4-month-old castrated male Albas white cashmere kids were randomly allocated among three dietary *** three diets contained the same ingredients in the same proportions,but differed in their fat additives:palm oil(PMO),linseed oil(LSO)or mixed oil(MIX;2 parts linseed oil plus 1 part palm oil on a weight basis).Results:Compared with the LSO diet,the MIX diet decreased the relative abuandance of Pseudobutyrivibrio,a bacterial species that is positively related to the proportional loss rate of dietary C18:3n-3 and that has been reported to generate the ATP required for biohydrogenation(reflecting a decrease in the abundance of rumen bacteria that hydrogenate C18:3n-3 in MIX kids).In muscle,the MIX diet increased concentrations of C18:3n-3,C20:5n-3,C22:6n-3,and n-3 LCPUFA,and thus decreased the n-6/n-3 ratio;decreased the mRNA expression of CPT1β(a gene associated with fatty acid oxidation)and
