The oxalate co-precipitation method was used to synthesize the La3+substituted Ni-Cu-Zn(La-NCZ)nanoferrites having chemical composition Ni_(0.7)Cu_(0.1)Zn_(0.2)LaxFe_(2-x)O_(4)(x=0.015,0.025 and 0.035).DC resistivity study of nanoferrites shows both the conducting and semiconducting *** room temperature DC electrical resistivity of Ni-Cu-Zn(NCZ)nanoferrites decreases,whereas Curie temperature increases with increasing La^(3+)*** the temperature range of 30-170℃nanoferrites show p-type semiconducting behavior except x=0.015;thereafter,they show n-type *** frequency dispersive initial permeability(μi)associated with its real and imaginary(μ’andμ")parts are attributed to the domain wall movement and magnetic spin ***μi,u’andμ"of La-NCZ nanoferrites are higher than those of pure NCZ *** constant(ε’),dielectric loss(ε")and AC resistivity(ρAC)of La-NCZ nanoferrites show normal dielectric *** is found thatε’of NCZ nanoferrites decreases with the increasing content of La3+*** bandgap energy of La-NCZ nanoferrites is achieved in the range 1.36-1.70 eV confirming the semiconducting nature of materials.

Objective:To identify alpha-glucosidase inhibitors from Ficus benghalensis and analyze gene set enrichment of regulated protein ***:The phytoconstituents of Ficu.s *** were queried for inhibitors of alphaglucosidase,also identified as aldose reductase *** score,absorption,distribution,metabolism,excretion and toxicity profile,biological spectrum,and gene expression were predicated for each *** study was performed to predict the binding affinity with alpha-glucosidase and aldose reductase and compared with clinically proven *** Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analysis was performed for the regulated genes to identify the modulated ***:Apigenin,3,4’,5,7-tetrahydroxy-3’-methoxyflavone,and kaempferol were identified as inhibitors of alpha-glucosidase and aldose *** was predicted to possess the highest binding affinity with both *** p53 signaling pathway was predicted to modulate the majority of protein molecules in diabetes *** the alpha-glucosidase inhibitors were also predicted as membrane integrity agonist and anti-mutagenic ***:The current study indicates alpha-glucosidase inhibitors from Ficus benghale,nsis can act as aldose reductase inhibitors after absorption from the intestinal ***,these phytoconstituents are involved in the regulation of numerous protein molecules and ***,the anti-diabetic efficacies of these compounds are due to their action on multiple protein molecules and synergistic effects which should be confirmed by future investigations.

In this paper,highly stable,powerful,and recyclable magnetic nanoparticles tethered Nheterocyclic carbene-palladium(Ⅱ)((CH_(3))_(3)-NHC-Pd@Fe_(3)O_(4))as magnetic nanocatalyst was successfully synthesized from a simplistic multistep synthesis under aerobic conditions through easily available low-cost *** synthesized(CH_(3))_(3)-NHC-Pd@Fe_(3)O_(4) magnetic nanocatalyst was characterized from various analytical tools and catalytic potential of the(CH_(3))_(3)-NHC-Pd@Fe_3 O_4 magnetic nanocatalyst was studied for the catalytic reduction of toxic 4-nitrophenol(4-NP),hexavalent chromium(Cr(Ⅵ)),Methylene blue(Mb)and Methyl Orange(MO)at room temperature in aqueous ***-Visible spectroscopy was employed to monitor the reduction ***(CH_(3))_(3)-NHC-Pd@Fe_(3)O_(4) magnetic nanocatalyst exhibited excellent catalytic activity for the reduction of toxic environmental ***,(CH_(3))_(3)-NHC-Pd@Fe_(3)O_(4) magnetic nanocatalyst could be easily and rapidly separated from the reaction mixture with the help of an external magnet and recycled minimum five times in reduction of 4-NP,Mb,MO and four times in Cr(Ⅵ)without significant loss of catalytic potential and remains stable even after reuse.

A rapid, one-pot and highly efficient protocol for the synthesis of pharmaceutically interesting functionalized 2-amino-3-cyano-4H-pyran and spirooxindole derivatives has been developed using commercially available Cs F as a catalyst in the reaction of malononitrile and aryl aldehydes or isatins with 1,3-cyclohexanediones. The major advantages of this methodology are excellent yield at ambient temperature, very short reaction time（5–10 min）, and use of an inexpensive catalyst.

Progeny studies of Jatropha curcas and Pongamia pinnata were carried with respect to bioproductivity,pod and seed characters which is one of the selection methods in tree improvement programmes. Variations in bioproductivity and biodiesel parameters of both the plants were compared every 6 months for 4 years of investigation and analyzed by analysis of variance and correlation coefficient by Pearson＇s method using software Graphpad instat 3.06（for Windows and Mac）. P. pinnata has better germination rate（71.4 %）, 100 pod weight（PW）（311.59 g） and 100 seed weight（SW）（173.46 g） as compared to J. curcas for germination rate（43.2 %）, 100 PW（111.29 g） and 100 SW（67.46 g）. P. pinnata has strong correlation for plant height to canopy growth（CG）（0.948）, collar diameter（CD）（0.994）, number of branches per plant（NbP）（0.995） and to number of leaves per branch（NLb）（0.862） as compared to *** which showed good correlation among plant height to CG（0.976）, CD（0.970）, NbP（0.988）, NLb（0.920） and to number of pods per branch（0.657）. However, J. curcas depicted negative correlation for pod breadth to seed length（SL）（-0.447）, seed breadth（-0.248） and to seed thickness（ST）（-0.364） and among the 100 PW to SL（-0.199）, ST（-0.220） and to 100 SW（-0.704）. About 4 kg of P. pinnata seeds were required for each liter of crude oil which yields896 ml of biodiesel on transesterification as compared to5.66 kg of J. curcas seeds for a liter of crude oil, producing about 663 ml of biodiesel. The quality of biodiesel meets the major specification of American Society for Testing and Materials（ASTM） standards for biodiesel. The crude glycerin and seed cake obtained as byproduct during biodiesel production were also measured which can be purified and used in composting, animal feeds, pharmaceuticals and cosmetic industries.

Aim: To evaluate the antifertility activity of various extracts of Crotalaria juncea seeds in male mice. Methods: Adult male mice were gavaged the petroleum ether, benzene and ethanol extracts of C. juncea seeds, 25 mg·(100g)-1·day-1 for 30 days. On day 31 the animals were sacrificed by cervical dislocation and the testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate gland, bulbourethral gland and levator ani were dissected out and weighed. The organs were processed for biochemical and histological examination. Results: In petroleum ether, benzene and ethanol extracts treated rats, there was a decrease in the weights of testis and accessory reproductive organs. The diameters of the testis and seminiferous tubules were decreased. Spermatogonia, spermatocytes and spermatids in the testis and the sperm count in cauda epididymis were also decreased. There was a significant reduction in the protein and glycogen contents and an increase in the cholesterol content in the testis, epididymis and vas deferens. Of the 3 extracts, the ethanol extract appeared to be the most potent in antispermatogenic activity. When the ethanol extract was tested in immature male mice, there was an antiandrogenic effect as the weights of accessory organs were reduced. Conclusion: The various extracts of C. juncea seeds arrest spermatogenesis and are likely to have an antiandrogenic activity.

Objective:To study the comparative gastroprotective effect of Luffa acutangula methanolic extract(LAM) and aqueous extract(LAW) on typeⅡdiabetes ***:Streptozotocin(65 mg/kg,Lp.) along with nicotinamide(120 mg/kg,Lp.) was used to induce non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus(NIDDM) in rats.A daily oral dose of aspirin(200 mg/kg,Lp.) was administered for initial seven days to induce gastric ulcerations in the diabetic *** and LAW were administered orally in the doses of 100,200 and 400 mg/kg once daily for 21 *** and ranitidine were used as standards for comparing the antidiabetic and antiulcer effect ***:LAM significantly(Pbetic rats than LAW(P betic rats close to the normal *** exhibited better ulcer healing effect than glibenclamide and LAW,because of its both antihyperglycemic and mucosal defensive ***:Thus,LAM is proved to be a better alternative for treating gastric ulcers co-occurring with diabetes.
