In this paper, the q-analogue of the Stirling formula for the q-gamma function （Moak formula） is exploited to prove the complete monotonicity properties of some functions involving the q-gamma and the q-polygamma functions for all real number q 〉 0. The monotonicity of these functions is used to establish sharp inequalities for the q-gamma and the q-polygamma functions and the q-Harmonic number. Our results are shown to be a generalization of results which were obtained by Selvi and batir [23].

Tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion has been proposed as a simple and reproducible parameter for quantitative assessment of the right ventricular ejection fraction. The prognostic importance of preoperative TAPSE in patients with mitral valve replacement for rheumatic mitral stenosis patients is still under focused. Therefore, the objective of the study was to predict the outcome after MVR in rheumatic mitral stenosis patients in relation to preoperative TAPSE. This comparative cross-sectional study was conducted at the Department of Cardiac Surgery, National Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute. A total of 72 patients of rheumatic mitral stenosis patients who underwent mitral valve replacement were included in the study. They were divided into two groups: Group A and b. Group A included 36 patients with TAPSE 0.05) except for the preoperative TAPSE. Mean TAPSE of Group A was 13.17 (±1.40) and Group b was 18.61 (±1.57), the difference was statistically significant (p 0.05). Among the postoperative complications, including postoperative atrial fibrillation was higher in Group A (30.56%) than Group b (11.11%), mean ventilation time was higher in Group A (27.78%) than Group b (5.56%), length of intensive care was higher in Group A (33.33%) than Group b (11.12%), and hospital stay was higher in Group A (25.0%) than Group b (5.56%), (p be used as a prognostic tool for MVR in rheumatic mitral stenosis patients in our settings.

The aim of the present paper is to introduce and study a new type of q-Mellin transform [11], that will be called q-finite Mellin transform. In particular, we prove for this new transform an inversion formula and q-convolution product. The application of this transform is also earlier proposed in solving procedure for a new equation with a new fractional differential operator of a variational type.

bACKGROUND Timely differentiation of biliary atresia(bA)from other infantile cholestatic diseases can impact patient ***,non-invasive staging of fibrosis after Kasai hepatoportoenterostomy has not been widely *** wave elastography is an ultrasound modality that detects changes in tissue *** authors propose that the utility of elastography in bA can be elucidated through meta-analysis of existing *** To assess the utility of elastography in:(1)bA diagnosis,and(2)post-Kasai fibrosis *** A literature search identified articles that evaluated elastography for bA diagnosis and for post-Kasai *** studies met criteria for meta-analysis:Eleven for diagnosis and nine for follow-up *** diagnostic odds ratio(DOR),sensitivity,and specificity of elastography were calculated through a random-effects model using Meta-DiSc *** Mean liver stiffness in bA infants at diagnosis was significantly higher than in non-bA,with overall DOR 24.61,sensitivity 83%,and specificity 79%.Post-Kasai,mean liver stiffness was significantly higher in bA patients with varices than in patients without,with DOR 16.36,sensitivity 85%,and specificity 76%.Elastography differentiated stage F4 fibrosis from F0-F3 with DOR of 70.03,sensitivity 96%,and specificity 89%.Elastography also differentiated F3-F4 fibrosis from F0-F2 with DOR of 24.68,sensitivity 85%,and specificity 81%.CONCLUSION Elastography has potential as a non-invasive modality for bA diagnosis and surveillance *** paper’s limitations include inter-study method heterogeneity and small sample ***,standardized,multi-center studies are recommended.

The problem of penetrative convection with the cubic and fifth-order equations of state proposed by Merker, Waas and Grigull is studied. both linear instability and nonlinear stability analyses are performed to assess the suitability of linear theory to predict destabilisation of the convection. The validity of both the linear instability and global nonlinear energy stability thresholds are tested using three-dimensional simulation. The results show that the linear threshold accurately predicts the onset of instability in the basic steady state solution.

CeO2nanoparticles(NPs) were synthesized in alkaline medium via the homogeneous precipitation method and were subsequently calcined at 80 ℃/24 h(assigned as CeO2-80) and 500 ℃/2 h(assigned as CeO2-500). The as-prepared materials and the commercial ceria(assigned as CeO2-com) were characterized using TGA-MS, XRD, SEM-EDX, UV-vis DRS and IEP techniques. The photocatalytic performances of all obtained photocatalysts were assessed by the degradation of Congo red azo-dye(CR) under UVAlight irradiation at various environmental key factors(e.g., reaction time and calcination temperature).Results reveal that CeO2compounds crystalize with cubic phase, CeO2-500 exhibits smaller crystallite size(9 nm vs 117 nm) than that of bare CeO2-com. SEM analysis shows that the materials are sphericallike in shape NPs with strong assembly of CeO2NPs observed in the CeO2-500 NPs. EDX analysis confirms the stoichiometry of CeO2NPs. UV-vis DRS measurement reveals that, CeO2-500 NPs exhibits a red-shift of absorption band and a more narrow bandgap(2.6 eV vs 3.20 eV) than that of bare CeO2-com. On the contrary, Urbach energy of Eu is found to be increased from 0.12 eV(CeO2-com) to 0.17 eV(CeO2-500),highlighting an increase of crystalline size and internal microstrain in the CeO2-500 NPs sample. Zeta potential(IEP) of CeO2-500 NPs is found to be 7.2. UVA-light-responsive photocatalytic activity is observed with CeO2-500 NPs at a rate constant of 10×10-3min-1, which is four times higher than that of CeO2-com(Kapp=2.4×10-3min-1) for the degradation of CR. Pseudo-first-order kinetic model gives the best fit. On the basis of the energy band diagram positions, the enhanced photocatalytic performance of CeO2-500 nano-catalyst can be ascribed to O2-, ’OH and R’+as the primary oxidative species involved in the degradation of RC under UVA-light irradiation.

The purpose of this exploratory research was to study the relationship between the mood of computer users and their use of keyboard and mouse to examine the possibility of creating a generic or individualized mood measure. To examine this, a field study （n = 26） and a controlled study （n = 16） were conducted. In the field study, interaction data and self-reported mood measurements were collected during normal PC use over several days. In the controlled study, participants worked on a programming task while listening to high or low arousing background music. besides subjective mood measurement, galvanic skin response （GSR） data was also collected. Results found no generic relationship between the interaction data and the mood data. However, the re- suits of the studies found significant average correlations be- tween mood measurement and personalized regression models based on keyboard and mouse interaction data. Together the results suggest that individualized mood prediction is pos- sible from interaction behaviour with keyboard and mouse.

This article is concerned with the effect of rotation on the general model of the equations of the generalized thermoe- lasticity for a homogeneous isotropic elastic half-space solid, whose surface is subjected to a Mode-I crack problem. The fractional order theory of thermoelasticity is used to obtain the analytical solutions for displacement components, force stresses, and temperature. The boundary of the crack is subjected to a prescribed stress distribution and temperature. The normal mode analysis technique is used to solve the resulting non-dimensional coupled governing equations of the problem. The variations of the considered variables with the horizontal distance are illustrated graphically. Some particular cases are also discussed in the context of the problem. Effects of the fractional parameter, reinforcement, and rotation on the varia- tions of different field quantities inside the elastic medium are analyzed graphically. Comparisons are made between the results in the presence and those in the absence of fiber-reinforcing, rotating and fractional parameters.
