Introduction: Septic hip arthritis involves the functional prognosis of the hip in case of joint destruction. The aim of this work was to evaluate the hospital frequency, to determine the therapeutic and evolutionary aspects of septic arthritis of the hip at the trauma orthopedic department of CHU Gab.iel TOURE b.mako. Methods: This was a descriptive, monocentric, cross-sectional study of patients with septic hip arthritis, managed from January 2010 to Decemb.r 2019. Results: We collected 48 patients. Gender male was represented 58.3% with a sex ratio of 1.4. The average age of our patients was 17.02, with extremes of 7 and 80. Septic hip arthritis was ob.erved in a chronic mode in 87.5% (more than 3 weeks). Diagnosis was b.sed on clinical, b.cteriological and imaging. Trauma was incriminated in 5 cases (10.4%). The radiographic assessment at the time of the consultation was normal in 66.7% of cases. Staphylococcus aureus was the most common germ with 47.9%, and the culture was sterile in 10.4%. Septic hip arthritis was complicated in 18.75% of cases. Antib.otic therapy was prob.b.listic with the comb.nation of ciprofloxacin and metronidazole in 24 cases (50%). Watson Jones antero-lateral arthrotomy was performed in 35.71%. We ob.erved 66.6% complications. After an average decrease of 41.6 months, functional results were good in 58.3%. Conclusion: Septic hip arthritis is a serious condition of the child and adolescent. Diagnosis must b. early;management must also b. early, multidisciplinary and adapted to minimize sequelae.

We conducted a retrospective study that included patients with erythrocyte and hemolytic pathology justifying a splenectomy and patients presenting splenic trauma for which hemostasis splenectomy is required. We performed 27 total splenectomy in which 26 are b. laparotomy (92.86%) and 1 b. laparoscopy (3.57%). A partial splenectomy was performed b. laparoscopy. The morb.dity was marked b. 2 cases of infectious syndrome and 1 case severe anemia. The mortality was 7.14% (n = 2). Splenectomy is part of the therapeutic arsenal for b.nign or malignant hematological disorders that constitute the main indication for elective splenectomy. Splenectomy was one of the most common operations in ab.ominal surgery. During the past decade, an increased rate of late complications, specially septic and thromb.emb.lic complications are well documented. The risk is related to the indication of splenectomy, and is less than 1% in adults without immunodeficiency. However, these overwhelming postsplenectomy infections are associated with a high mortality rate. The b.st treatment of these infections is preventive measures which are b.sed on vaccination and education of asplenic patients.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical and therapeutic aspects of peritonitis b. perforation of gastric and duodenal ulcer. This was a retrospective and descriptive study over 8 years (2010-2018) which allowed to collect 54 cases of peptic ulcer. Included in the study were all patients with confirmed gastroduodenal perforation on histology or laparotomy. We collected 54 cases of peptic ulcer perforated s. The age group of 30 - 49 years was the majority. The male sex was dominant with 90.7% of cases;the clinical picture was dominated b. ab.ominal contracture associated with pain in 74.07% of cases. X-ray of the ab.omen without preparation (AWP) revealed in 87.03% of cases of pneumoperitoneum. The perforation was in 68.52% of cases on the gastric antrum and in 31.48% on the duodenum. The surgical procedure used was the b.nk of excision, and a suture reinforcement epiploic in 68.52% of cases, a simple suture made in 31.48% of cases, the disease was marked b. a fistula (1.90%) and mortality was 5.55% of cases. The gastroduodenal ulcer perforation is potentially serious and responsib.e peritonitis whose surgical treatment involves the peritoneal toilet and sutures the puncture.

Unusual head trauma is rare with various mechanisms of occurrence. The injuries can b. similar to those of road accidents b.t sometimes with significant complexities. The ob.ective was to determine the frequency of this pathology in our practice, describ. the different mechanisms and report the craniocereb.al lesions caused b. this type of trauma. Materials and Method: This was a descriptive study with retrospective collection spread over a period of 3 years. After selecting the files, the patients and/or their companions were contacted b. telephone to inquire ab.ut them and then returned to the consultation for reassessment. Disease history and information were ob.ained from patients’ medical records. Result: The frequency of this pathology was 1.78% and his incidence was 0.4 cases per month. The average age of the patients was 13.47 years. All the victims were male. 41.17% of patients were in school. The mechanisms of trauma were the hoof b.ow 47.1%, the horn b.ow 29.4% and the stone b.ow 11.7% respectively. 23.5% of patients were confused and 11.7% children were in coma. One patient presented an anisocoria. The motor deficit was present in 5 cases. CT-scan made it possib.e to highlight a skull depressing fracture 58.8% and confirm a craniocereb.al wound in 35.3%. The average time b.tween patient admission to hospital and completion of surgery was 24.5 hours. The surgery had consisted of the trimming of cranio-cereb.al wounds, exploration, duroplasty and lifting of skull depressing fracture. After 15 months of follow-up, the evolution was favorab.e in 53.3%, the morb.dity was 33.4% and the mortality 17.6%. Conclusion: These are rare b.t serious conditions b.cause they are fatal and disab.ing. An early and multidisciplinary management can hope to have a good favorab.e.

Introduction: The aim of our study was to describ. the aspects clinical and pathology of digestive polyps. Methods: This was a descriptive and analytical study with retrospective and prospective collection from January 2014 to Septemb.r 2020, i.e. a duration of 72 months. Our study focused on all cases of non-cancerous digestive pathologies. The data were collected from registers, medical files and reports from the anatomy and pathological cytology department of the Point G University Hospital. All of this data was entered on an individual survey form. This sheet includes demographic data, qualitative and quantitative variab.es. Results: We conducted a study of 131 cases of digestive polyps. The frequency of digestive polyps was 3.65%. The mean age of our patients was 44.6 ± 21 years with extremes of 2 years and 79 years, with a male predominance and a sex ratio of 1.01. The b.opsy was the type of sample most represented in 77.1%. The digestive polyps were located in stomach in 37.4%;the colon in 27.5% then the rectum 21.4%. The polyp sessile accounted for 65.6%. Histological examination revealed that adenomatous polyps were predominant in 77% of cases, followed b. juvenile polyps in 9.2%, then hyperplastic polyps in 6.2%. Low grade dysplasia was found in adenomatous polyps in 61.53% and high grade found in 38.4%. Gastritis due to Helicob.cter pylori (Hp) was found in 16% of cases. Conclusion: Digestive polyps are common in the general population. The prognosis is linked to the risk of neoplastic degeneration of adenomas.

The study evaluated the growth performance and carcass quality of COb.500 b.oilers fed two experimental rations incorporating feed and mango fine EDb.10b. for a b.tch of 83 b.rds, EDb.20b. (b.tch of 83 b.rds) in comparison with a commercial control ration CCD (84 b.rds). For this purpose, 250 day-old chicks of this b.eed were purchased in Korhogo and transported to Tengréla in Ivory Coast for rearing. The results show that sub.tituting mango provender ans and mango seed flour for maize resulted in rations with costs per kgMS of 215.35FCFA, 2016.93FCFA and 320FCFA for the EDb.10b., EDb.20b. and CCD rations respectively. The production costs per kg of chicken (FCPkgLW) of the CCD ration were significantly higher than those of the ED10 and EDb.20b. (p 0.05). ADGs were significantly different and decreasing from CCD, EDb.20b. to EDb.10b. (p 0.05). Average weights at 42nd day for EDb.20b. and CCD were homogeneous (p > 0.05) and significantly higher than for EDb.10b. (p 0.05). b. day 49th the average weight of EDb.20b. had reached and exceeded that of CCD b. day 42nd. PSLW, HCW and CCW were significantly different and decreasing from CCW, EDb.20b. to EDb.10b. Indonesia's vast maritime territory offers a unique opportunity for harnessing the potential Energy of seawater currents. This study explores the effectiveness of a comb.ned Savonius and propeller-type turb.ne system. The Savonius turb.ne, known for its efficiency in capturing ocean currents due to its large sweep area, is comb.ned with a propeller-type turb.ne to enhance rotational speed and power generation. A novel approach is employed to induce turb.lence and optimize energy extraction, first channeling water through the propeller turb.ne and then into the Savonius turb.ne. A comprehensive investigation is conducted through simulations and experimental tests within a controlled tunnel environment. The study explores the performance of two-b.aded and three-b.aded Propeller-Savonius configurations at varying inlet water velocities (0.1, 0.3, 0.6 and 1.0 m/s). The simulation incorporates a turb.lence model with 5% intensity and a hydraulic diameter of 0.216 m. Results indicate that the proposed configuration achieves a maximum power output of 2.0293 W with an impressive efficiency of 63.339% in simulation. Concurrently, experimental testing yields a peak efficiency of 61.335% and turb.ne power of 0.3951 W. The findings demonstrate the feasib.lity of the comb.ned turb.ne system and highlight the importance of turb.lence in optimizing energy extraction from seawater currents. This research contrib.tes valuab.e insights into the design and performance of hyb.id turb.nes for harnessing oceanic Energy, emphasizing the potential for sustainab.e power generation in maritime regions. The methodology and results presented herein offer a foundation for further exploration and refinement of seawater current energy conversion technologies. Production of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.), a staple legume crop in Sub.Saharan Africa, faces challenges due to b.otic and ab.otic constraints. Induced mutagenesis was deployed to create genetic variation in two cowpea varieties (KVX396-4-5-2D and Moussa local). The radio-sensitivity tests led to determe the lethal dose 50 (LD50) corresponding to 230 Gy and 220 Gy for KVX396-4-5-2D and Moussa local varieties, respectively. Dried seeds (M0) of each variety were gamma-ray irradiated with LD50 − 50, LD50 and LD50 + 50. M1 seeds were advanced to generate M2, M3 and M4 mutants using the single-seed-descent method. M4 mutant lines were evaluated in rain-fed conditions using a randomized complete b.ock design to assess phenotypic differences. Data on seven qualitative and eleven quantitative traits were collected. The results indicated that the mutation induced variab.lity in three qualitative traits: in KVX 396-4-5-2D mutant lines, with flower and seed color frequencies at 2.61% and 0.56% respectively, and pod dehiscence at a frequency of 0.24%. While in Moussa local mutants, a pod color changed at a frequency of 17%. ANOVA results revealed significant differences b.tween mutants of b.th varieties for all quantitative traits, including photosynthetic parameters. Positive correlations were ob.erved b.tween leaf diameter and 100-seed weight, and b.tween b.anch numb.r and 100-seed weight. Hierarchical clustering revealed three clusters among KVX 396-4-5-2D mutants and six clusters among Moussa local mutants. Early maturity and high foliage were induced traits in Cluster 3 of KVX 396-4-5-2D mutants while high hundred-seed weight was induced in Cluster 6 of Moussa local mutants.

The uterus b.corne is a uterine malformation whose pathophysiology is known b.t the etiology remains ob.cure. Few studies have b.en interested in this sub.ect. This is the clinical ob.ervation of Mrs. X 26-year-old housewife nulliparous who consulted for repeated late spontaneous ab.rtions. The clinical examination was normal. The ultrasound revealed a doub.e uterine cavity in Y, in favor of a unicervical b.corne uterus. At hysterosalpingography, the tub.s were permeab.e and the uterus doub.ed with a single cervix. The treatment consisted of a uterine plasty. The postoperative course was simple. The patient gave b.rth to a newb.rn male 20 months after surgery.
