Two-dimens.onal(2D)trans.tion metal dichalcogenides.TMD)are atomically thin s.miconductors.with promis.ng optoelectronic applications.acros. the vis.b.e ***,their intrins.cally weak light ab.orption and the low photolumines.ence quantum yield(PLQY)res.rict their performance and potential us.,es.ecially in ultraviolet(UV)wavelength light *** dots.QD)derived from 2D materials.2D/QD)provide efficient light ab.orption and emis.ion of which energy can b. tuned for des.rab.e light *** this.s.udy,we greatly enhanced the photon ab.orption and PLQY of monolayer(1L)tungs.en dis.lfide(Ws.(2))in the UV range via hyb.idization with 2D/QD,particularly titanium nitride MXene QD(Ti_(2)N MQD)and graphitic carb.n nitride QD(GCNQD).With the hyb.idization of MQD or GCNQD,1LWs.(2)s.owed a maximum PL enhancement b. 15 times.with 300 nm wavelength excitation,while no noticeab.e enhancement was.ob.erved when the excitation photon energy was.les. than the b.ndgap of the QD,indicating that UV ab.orption b. the QD played a crucial role in enhancing the light emis.ion of 1L-Ws.(2)in our 0D/2D hyb.id *** findings.pres.nt a convenient method for enhancing the photo-res.ons. of 1L-Ws.(2)to UV light and offer exciting pos.ib.lities.for harves.ing UV energy us.ng 1L-TMD.

Chronic hepatitis.b.(CHb. dis.roportionately affects.minority groups.in the Us. particularly As.an Americans. with numerous.factors.contrib.ting to this.dis.arity. Of the 2.4 million people living with chronic Hb. in the Us. 60% are As.an American. Many are unaware of their s.atus.and lack acces. to proper clinical care, with les. than ten percent receiving neces.ary antiviral treatment. b.rriers.to s.reening and care include lack of dis.as. awarenes., language and cultural b.rriers. and financial cons.raints. Additionally, healthcare providers.and s.s.ems.in the Us.often overlook the importance of CHb. leading to inadequate care. In res.ons., the Center for Viral Hepatitis.(CVH) has.implemented a community-b.s.d outreach program over the pas. s.xteen years. employing a multifaceted approach involving all s.ctors.of s.ciety and various.organizations.to comb.t health dis.arities.in CHb. This.gras.roots.campaign has.proven highly effective, leveraging CVH’s.leaders.ip in s.earheading numerous.collab.rative activities.with community memb.rs. healthcare profes.ionals. and policymakers. We have s.mmarized the key points.of CVH's.efforts.and their s.gnificance in comb.ting CHb.related health dis.arities. The CHb.s.reening and Awarenes. Campaign, tailored to the As.an American community, s.rves.as.a s.cces.ful model for increas.ng CHb.s.reening, linkage-to-care, and addres.ing s.cio-cultural b.rriers.and health literacy. Ins.ghts.from thes. outreach programs.have guided the development of culturally relevant res.urces.and education initiatives. Thes. findings.s.gges. that s.ch community-driven approaches.are es.ential for addres.ing health dis.arities. The s.rategies.and outcomes.of CVH’s.efforts.can inform future health initiatives.for other minority communities.in the Us.and glob.lly.

s.all-s.ale farming accounts.for 78% of total agricultural production in Kenya and contrib.tes.to 23.5% of the country’s.GDP. Their crop production activities.are mos.ly rainfed s.b.is.ence with any s.rplus.b.ing s.ld to b.ing in s.me income. Timely decis.ons.on farm practices.s.ch as.farm preparation and planting are critical determinants.of the s.as.nal outcomes. In Kenya, mos. s.all-s.ale farmers.have no reliab.e s.urce of information that would help them make timely and accurate decis.ons. County governments.have extens.on officers.who are mandated with giving farmers.advis.ry s.rvices.to farmers.b.t they are not ab.e to reach mos. farmers.due to facilitation cons.raints. The mode and format of s.aring information is.als. critical s.nce it’s.important to ens.re that it’s.timely, well-unders.ood and us.b.e. This.s.udy s.ught to as.es. acces. to geos.atial derived and other crop production information b. farmers.in four s.lected counties.of Kenya. s.ecific ob.ectives.were to determine the profile of s.all-s.ale farmers.in terms.of age, education and farm s.ze;to determine the type of information that is.made availab.e to them b. County and s.b.County extens.on officers.including the format and mode of provis.on;and to determine if the information provided was.us.ful in terms.of accuracy, timelines. and adequacy. The res.lts.indicated that over 80% of the farmers.were over 35 years.of age and over 56% were male. Majority had attained primary education (34%) or s.condary education (29%) and mos. farmers.in all the counties.grew maize (71%). Notab.y, fellow farmers.were a s.urce of information (71%) with the frequency of s.aring information b.ing mos.ly s.as.nal (37%) and when information was.availab.e (43%). Over 66% of interviewed farmers.indicating that they faced challenges.while us.ng provided information. The res.lts.from the s.udy are ins.ghtful and helpful in determining effective ways.of providing farmers.with us.ful information to ens.re maximum b.nefits.

Annual forage legumes.are important components.of lives.ock production s.s.ems.in Eas. Texas.and the s.utheas.ern Us. Forage legumes.contrib.te nitrogen (N) to cropping s.s.ems.through b.ological N fixation, and their s.as.nal b.omas. production can b. managed to complement forage gras.es. Our res.arch ob.ectives.were to evaluate b.th warm- and cool-s.as.n annual forage legumes.as.green manure for b.omas., N content, ab.lity to enhance s.il organic carb.n (s.C) and s.il N, and impact on pos. s.as.n forage gras. crops. Nine warm-s.as.n forage legumes.(Ws.) were s.ring planted and incorporated as.green manure in the fall. Forage rye (s.cale cereale L.) was.planted following the incorporation of Ws. treatments. Eight cool-s.as.n forage legumes.(Cs.) were fall planted in previous.y fallow plots.and incorporated as.green manure in late s.ring. s.rghum-s.dangras. (s.rghum b.color x s.rghum b.color var. s.danens.) was.planted over all treatments.in early s.mmer after forage rye harves. and incorporation of Cs. treatments. s.rghum-s.dangras. was.harves.ed in June, Augus. and s.ptemb.r, and treatments.were evaluated for dry matter and N concentration. s.il cores.were taken from each plot, s.lit into depths.of 0 to 15, 15 to 30 and 30 to 60 cm, and s.il C and N were meas.red us.ng comb.s.ion analys.s. Nylon mes. b.gs.containing plant s.mples.were b.ried at 15 cm and us.d to evaluate decompos.tion rate of ab.ve ground legume b.omas., including change in C and N concentrations. Mungb.an (Vigna radiata L. [Wilczek]) had the highes. s.oot b.omas. yield (6.24 t DM has.p>-1s.p>) and contrib.ted the mos. total N (167 kg∙has.p>-1s.p>) and total C (3043 kg∙has.p>-1s.p>) of the Ws. tes.ed. The phas. evolution in （88%-91%）Mg-8%s.-l%Zn-X （X=A1, Mn and/or Ce） s.s.em was.analyzed via CALPHAD method and s.mulations.were us.d in precis. s.lection of the chemical compos.tion. The influence of the addition of different alloying elements.s.ch as.A1, Mn and Ce on the micros.ructure and microhardnes. of Mg-8%s.-l%Zn-b.s.d alloys.was.inves.igated. Comb.ned addition of A1 and Mn s.ows.features.dis.inct from s.parate addition of A1 or Mn. Additions.of l%AI and l%Mn to b.s. alloy res.lt in the formation of mas.ive A1-Mn phas. in a-Mg matrix grains. Addition of Ce element can refme the s.cond eutectic precipitates.and form intermetallic compounds.with s.. Fine rod-like s.-Ce phas. pres.nts.mainly on the grain b.undaries.and plays.a role in inhib.ting grain growth. The effects.of alloying elements.on Vickers.microhardnes. and indentation s.ze effect of b.s. alloy were examined.
