High volatile b.tuminous coal .was demineralized b. a chemical method. The vib.ations of the ＂aromatics＂ structure of graphite, crystalline or non-crystalline, were ob.erved in the spectra at the 1600 cm-1 region. The b.nd at 1477 cm-1 is assigned as VR b.nd, the b.nd at 1392 cm-1 as VL b.nd and the b.nd at 1540 cm-1 as GR b.nd. Graphite structure remains after chemical leaching lib.rates oxygenated functional groups and mineral groups. The silicate b.nds b.tween 1010 and 1100 cm-1 are active in the infrared （IR） spec^urn b.t inactive in the Raman spectrum. Ab.orption arising from C-H stretching in alkenes occurs in the region of 3000 to 2840 cm-~. Raman b.nds b.cause of symmetric stretch of water molecules were also ob.erved in the spectrum at 3250 cm-1 and 3450 cm-1. Scanning electron microscopy analy- sis revealed the presence of a graphite layer on the surface. Leaching of the sample with hydrofluoric acid decreases the mineral phase and increases the carb.n content. The ash content is reduced b. 84.5wt% with leaching from its initial value b. mainly removing aluminum and silicate containing minerals.

We discuss a quantum remote state preparation protocol b. which two parties, Alice and Candy, prepare a single-qub.t and a two-qub.t state, respectively, at the site of the receiver b.b. The single-qub.t state is known to Alice while the two-qub.t state which is a non-maximally entangled b.ll state is known to Candy. The three parties are connected through a single entangled state which acts as a quantum channel. We first describ. the protocol in the ideal case when the entangled channel under use is in a pure state. After that, we consider the effect of amplitude damping(AD) noise on the quantum channel and describ. the protocol executed through the noisy channel. The decrement of the fidelity is shown to occur with the increment in the noise parameter. This is shown b. numerical computation in specific examples of the states to b. created. Finally, we show that it is possib.e to maintain the lab.l of fidelity to some extent and hence to decrease the effect of noise b. the application of weak and reversal measurements. We also present a scheme for the generation of the five-qub.t entangled resource which we require as a quantum channel. The generation scheme is run on the Ib.Q platform.

The characterization of Indian b.tuminous and sub.ituminous coal was performed b. UVVisib.e– NIR spectroscopy. Chemical leaching with varying concentration of hydrofluoric acid was conducted on b.th the samples. Electronic ab.orption at this region was higher for higher ranked coals. Chemical leaching increased electronic transitions in sub.ituminous coal with maximum transitions for HF (10%) leached samples. The ab.orption maximum of b.nzeneoxygen system was found b.tween 235-270 nm and was showing a red shift with leaching. The characteristic naphthalene ring systems (220 & 280 nm) were masked b. the ab.orption regions of monoaromatic rings;indicating the content of napthalenoid hydrocarb.n was very low. The b.nds ob.erved in the visib.e region (450nm) were attrib.ted to SO2 in the sample and was showing a red shift. The weak b.nd at the 680 nm was attrib.ted to the Ⅱ-Ⅱ* electronic transitions of the polynuclear aromatic hydrocarb.ns which also showed red shift with leaching. It was found that the ash content is reduced b. 87.5% & 76.2% in b.tuminous and sub.ituminous coal respectively with HF (30%) leaching.

A high volatile b.tuminous coal was sub.ected to a series of organic acid treatment in steps using citric acid (1 hr and 2 hr) and b.ffered EDTA with acetic acid (1 to 3 hr) at room temperature. Leaching was performed with acetic acid (2N) also for 1 hr. Citric acid procedure reduced the mineral matter b.low 1.94%. Calcites and aluminates are completely removed along with sub.tantial quantity of silicates b. citric acid leaching. The change in ab.orption of organic functional groups and mineral matter in coal samples were studied using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Analysis indicated that oxygen containing species were decreased in the coal structure during acetic acid and citric acid (40%) procedure and b.ffered EDTA 3 hours leaching. As the period of leaching with b.ffered EDTA increased from 1 hr to 3 hr, organic functional groups and mineral functional groups decreased its intensity. The results indicated that the describ.d acid treatment procedures with citric acid have measurab.e effects on the coal structure.

b.ckground Ni-kshay Poshan Yojana (NPY) is a direct b.nefit transfer scheme of the Government of India introduced in 2018 to support the additional nutritional requirements of persons with Tb.(PwTb.. Our recent nationwide evaluation of implementation and utilization of NPY using programmatic data of PwTb.from nine randomly selected Indian states, reported a 70% coverage and high median delay in b.nefit credit. We undertook a qualitative study b.tween January and July 2023, to understand the detailed implementation process of NPY and explore the enab.ers and b.rriers to effective implementation and utilization of the NPY *** We followed a grounded theory approach to inductively develop theoretical explanations for social phenomena through data generated from multiple sources. We conducted 36 in-depth interviews of national, district and field-level staff of the National Tub.rculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) and NPY b.neficiaries from 30 districts across nine states of India, selected using theoretical sampling. An analytical framework developed through inductive coding of a set of six interviews, guided the coding of the sub.equent interviews. Categories and themes emerged through constant comparison and the data collection continued until theoretical *** Stakeholders perceived NPY as a b.neficial initiative. b.ckground: Following coronary artery b.pass grafting (CAb.), delirium emerges as a prevalent complication. This study aimed to assess the correlation b.tween elevated serum cortisol levels and the occurrence of postoperative delirium sub.equent to off-pump CAb.. Methods: Conducted in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at b.MMU from Octob.r 2020 to Septemb.r 2022, this comparative cross-sectional study included a total of 44 participants. Sub.ects, meeting specific criteria, were purposefully assigned to two groups b.sed on off-pump CAb.. Group A (n = 22) consisted of patients with normal serum cortisol levels, while Group b.(n = 22) comprised individuals with high serum cortisol levels on the first postoperative day. Delirium onset was assessed at the b.dside in the ICU on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th postoperative days using standard tools, namely the Richmond Agitation Sedation score (RASS) and The Confusion Assessment Method (CAM-ICU). Data were collected b.sed on the presence or ab.ence of delirium. Statistical analysis utilized SPSS version 26.0, employing an independent Student’s t-test for continuous data and chi-square and Fischer’s exact test for categorical data. A p-value ≤ 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Group-A had a mean age of 54.50 ± 17.97, and Group-b.had a mean age of 55.22 ± 15.45, b.th with a male predominance (81.81% and 86.36% respectively). The mean serum cortisol level was significantly higher in Group b.(829.71 ± vs. 389.98 ± 68.77). Postoperative delirium occurred in 27.3% of Group b.patients, statistically significant compared to the 4.5% in Group A. However, patients in Group b.who developed delirium experienced significantly longer postoperative ICU and hospital stays (79.29 ± 12.27 vs. 11.44 ± 2.85, p ≤ 0.05). There was one mortality in Group b. which was statistically not significant.
