This paper draws attention to the prospects of sea-b.sed econom. to prom.te b.ngladesh in a m.ddle-incom. country through the sustainab.e use of m.rine resources. Ab.ut three-fourths of the earth is covered b. the seas. It plays the vital role in two im.ortant functions from.ancient tim. known as the m.ans of com.unication and the source of huge living and non-living natural resources. At present, the countries are b.com.ng very m.ch concerned ab.ut their m.rine resources to resolve m.ny of the present and future challenges of their econom.es. Generally for b.ngladesh, ocean is contrib.ting a significant role to its overall socio-econom.c progress through rising up the econom.c activities across the country and especially to the coastal zone at southern part. This paper investigates how m.ch b.ngladesh is capab.e to take of or handle the challenges to b.com. a m.ddle incom. country through the Sustainab.e Developm.nt Goals (SDGs). In addition, it has attem.ted with a closer-look to find out the b.rriers or lim.tations of these activities from.different angles if exist.

Dynam.c Clustering with Relay Nodes (DCRN): A Clustering Technique to m.xim.ze Stab.lity in Wireless Sensor Networks with Relay Nodes

With the growing popularity of wireless sensor networks, network stab.lity has b.com. a key area of current research. Different applications of wireless sensor networks dem.nd stab.e sensing, coverage, and connectivity throughout their operational periods. In som. cases, the death of just a single sensor node m.ght disrupt the stab.lity of the entire network. Therefore, a num.0}r of techniques have b.en proposed to im.rove the network stab.lity. Clustering is one of the m.st com.only used techniques in this regard. m.st clustering techniques assum. the presence of high power sensor nodes called relay nodes and im.licitly assum. that these relay nodes serve as cluster heads in the network. This assum.tion m.y lead to faulty network b.havior when any of the relay nodes b.com.s unavailab.e to its followers. m.reover, relay node b.sed clustering techniques do not address the heterogeneity of sensor nodes in term. of their residual energies, which frequently occur during the operation of a network. To address these two issues, we present a novel clustering technique, Dynam.c Clustering with Relay Nodes (DCRN), b. considering the heterogeneity in residual b.ttery capacity and b. rem.ving the assum.tion that relay nodes always serve as cluster-heads. We use an essence of the underlying m.chanism.of LEACH (Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy), which is one of the m.st popular clustering solutions for wireless sensor networks. In our work, we present four heuristics to increase network stab.lity periods in term. of the tim. elapsed b.fore the death of the first node in the network. b.sed on the proposed heuristics, we devise an algorithm.for DCRN and form.late a m.them.tical m.del for its long-term.rate of energy consum.tion. Further, we calculate the optim.l percentage of relay nodes from.our m.them.tical m.del. Finally, we verify the efficiency of DCRN and correctness of the m.them.tical m.del b. exhaustive sim.lation results. Our sim.lation results reveal that DCRN en

A precise theoretical investigation has b.en m.de on the cylindrical and spherical （nonplanar） Gardner solitons （GSs） and doub.e layers （DLs） in a dusty electronegative plasm. （com.osed of inertial positive and negative ions, m.xwellian cold electrons, non-therm.l hot electrons, and negatively charged static dust）. The reductive perturb.tion m.thod has b.en used in derivation of the m.dified Gardner （m.） equation describ.ng the nonlinear propagation of the dust ion-acoustic （DIA） waves. The m. equation adm.ts solitary waves （SWs） and DLs solutions for σ around its critical value σ c （where σc is the value of σ corresponding to the vanishing of the nonlinear coefficient of the Korteweg de-Vries （K-dV） equation）. The nonplanar SWs and DLs solutions are num.rically analyzed and the param.tric regim.s for the existence of the positive as well as negative SWs and negative DLs are ob.ained. The b.sic features of nonplanar DIA SWs and DLs, which are found to b. different from.planar ones, are also identified. The im.lications of our results to different space and lab.ratory dusty plasm. situations, are discussed.

Clonal propagation of b.m.0}sa vulgaris b. leafy b.anch cuttings

b.m.0}sa vulgaris Schrad ex wendl is a widely cultivated b.m.0}o species in rural b.ngladesh for its versatile uses. The vegetative propagation b.com.s the only viab.e alternative for this species b.cause b. vulgaris does not set seed after sparse flowering, which m.kes seedling progenies unavailab.e. A low-cost propagation trial was conducted to explore the clonal propagation techniques for the species with two types of sm.ll b.anch cuttings, nodal leafy cuttings and tip cuttings. The cuttings, after treating with 0, 0.1%, 0.4%, and 0.8% Ib. solutions, were kept in non-m.st propagator to let them.to root for assessing the rooting ab.lity. The cuttings were rooted in four weeks and were allowed to grow in the polyb.gs for 10 m.nths under nursery condition to assess their steckling capacity. The study reveals that b.th types of b.anch cuttings are ab.e to develop roots, shoots, to survive and to form.rhizom. under the nursery condition. Rooting ab.lity of the cuttings was significantly enhanced b. the application of rooting horm.ne - Ib.. The highest rooting percentage in nodal leafy cuttings and the tip cuttings （56.67% and 51.0%, respectively） were ob.erved in 0.8% Ib. treatm.nt, followed b. 0.4% Ib. and the lowest （34.3% and 30.0%, respectively） was in control. The highest num.0}r of root developed per cutting （9.77 and 8.33 in nodal leafy cuttings and the tip cuttings, respectively） was also ob.ained from.the cuttings treated with 0.8% Ib. solution, followed 0.4% Ib. treatm.nt and the lowest （3.1 and 2.1, respectively） was in the cuttings without treatm.nt. However, the length of the longest root varied significantly neither with the cutting types nor the concentrations of Ib. solution. Survival percentage of the stecklings in nursery condition was significantly enhanced b. Ib..

Com.arative study of m.2Ga2C with superconducting m.X phase m.2GaC： First-principles calculations

The structural, electronic, optical and therm.dynam.c properties of m.2Ga2C are investigated using density func- tional theory （DFT） within the generalized gradient approxim.tion （GGA）. The optim.zed crystal structure is ob.ained and the lattice param.ters are com.ared with availab.e experim.ntal data. The electronic density of states （DOS） is calculated and analyzed. The m.tallic b.havior for the com.ound is confirm.d and the value of DOS at Ferm. level is 4.2 states per unit cell per eV. Technologically im.ortant optical param.ters （e.g., dielectric function, refractive index, ab.orption coefficient, photo conductivity, reflectivity, and loss function） are calculated for the first tim.. The study of dielectric constant （ε1） indicates the Drude-like b.havior. The ab.orption and conductivity spectra suggest that the com.ound is m.tallic. The reflectance spectrum.shows that this com.ound has the potential to b. used as a solar reflector. The therm.dynam.c properties such as the tem.erature and pressure dependent b.lk m.dulus, Deb.e tem.erature, specific heats, and therm.l expansion coefficient of m.2Ga2C m.X phase are derived from.the quasi-harm.nic Deb.e m.del with phononic effect also for the first tim.. Analysis of Tc expression using availab.e param.ter values （DOS, Deb.e tem.erature, atom.c m.ss, etc.） suggests that the com.ound is less likely to b. superconductor.

We theoretically study the structural, elastic and optical properties of Er Pd b. together with its anisotropic b.haviors using density functional theory. It is ob.erved that Er Pd b. satisfies the b.rn stab.lity criteria nicely and possesses high quality of m.chinab.lity. The anisotropic b.havior of Er Pd b. is reported with the help of theoretical anisotropy indices incorporating 3 D graphical presentation, which suggests that Er Pd b. is highly anisotropic in nature. It is noticed that the m.nim.m.therm.l conductivity is very low for Er Pd b. com.ared to the several species. This low value of m.nim.m.therm.l conductivity introduces the potentiality of Er Pd b. in high-tem.erature applications such as therm.l b.rrier *** addition, deep optical insights of Er Pd b. reveal that our m.terial can b. used in different optoelectronic and electronic device applications ranging from.organic light-em.tting diodes, solar panel efficiency, waveguides etc. to integration of integrated circuits. Therefore, we b.lieve that our results will provide a new insight into high-tem.erature applications and will b.nefit for the developm.nt of prom.sing optoelectric devices as well.

Econom.cs of the plant species used in hom.stead agroforestry on an offshore Sandwip Island of Chittagong District, b.ngladesh

This study was perform.d in five villages of Sandwip Upazila, Chittagong district with a view to identify the tree resources, utilization pattern and econom.c return of m.jor fruit and tim.0}r tree species. Inform.tion collected from.a total of 60 households ranging from.m.rginal, sm.ll, m.dium.and large categories. Num.0}r of plant species increased with the increase of hom.stead area. A total of 33 plant species were recorded from.the hom.garden, of which 19 were fruit and 14 were tim.0}r tree species. Considerab.e num.0}r of vegetab.es was also planted under the shade of the hom.stead trees. The investm.nt analysis showed that average b.nefit-cost ratios were greater than one, net present values were positive and internal rate of returns were m.re than 10%. Long term.investm.nt on horticulture and tim.0}r tree species is highly profitab.e if species like Artocarpus heterophyllus, Cocos nucifera, Tectona grandis and Swietenia m.crophylla are planted.

We present the characteristics of the therm.lum.nescence (TL) response of Ge-doped optical fib.rs with various energies and exposures of photon *** investigate the Ge-doped SiO2 as an efficient TL m.terial,the TL responses are com.ared with com.ercially availab.e standard TLD100 *** Ge-doped optical fib.r and TLD100 are placed in gelatin capsules and irradiated with x-ray using a Toshib. m.del KXO-15R x-ray *** Ge-doped fib.r and TLD-100 show linear response as a function of current and tim. using x-ray photon of energy 60,80 and *** irradiated with 60,80 and l00kV x-ray energy at various currents (m. ),tub. distance (cm. and exposure tim. (second) ranges,TLD100 m.dia provide a TL yield up to two tim.s that of Ge-doped *** energy response of the Ge-doped fib.rs is linear and sim.lar over the 60-l00 kVenergy range,and its sensitivity is 0.39±0.05 of the TLD100 *** glow curves of TLD 100 and doped optical fib.r are also com.ared.

Interactions of ion acoustic m.lti-soliton and rogue wave with b.hm.quantum.potential in degenerate plasm.

This work investigates the interactions am.ng solitons and their consequences in the production of rogue waves in an unm.gnetized plasm.s com.osing non-relativistic as well as relativistic degenerate electrons and positrons, and inertial non-relativistic helium.ions. The extended Poincare′–Lighthill–Kuo（PLK） m.thod is em.loyed to derive the two-sided Korteweg–de Vries（KdV） equations with their corresponding phase shifts. The nonlinear Schrodinger equation（NLSE） is ob.ained from.the m.dified Kd V（m.dV） equation, which allows one to study the properties of the rogue waves. It is found that the Ferm. tem.erature and quantum.m.chanical effects b.com. pronounced due to the quantum.diffraction of electrons and positrons in the plasm.s. The densities and tem.eratures of the helium.ions, degenerate electrons and positrons, and quantum.param.ters strongly m.dify the electrostatic ion acoustic resonances and their corresponding phase shifts due to the interactions am.ng solitons and produce rogue waves in the plasm..
