b.ckground:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is.the mos. common caus. of cancer-related death in s.udi *** s.udy aimed to inves.igate the patterns.of HCC and the effect of TNm s.aging,Alfa-fetoprotein(AFP),and Child-Turcotte Pugh(CTP)on patients.overall s.rvival(Os..methods.A retros.ective analys.s.was.conducted on 43 HCC patients.at a s.ngle oncology center in s.udi Arab.a from 2015 to *** patients.had to fulfill one of the following criteria:(a)a liver les.on reported as.definitive HCC on dynamic imaging and/or(b.a b.ops.-confirmed ***:The mean patient age of all HCC cas.s.was.66.8 with a male-to-female ratio of 3.3:*** patients.were s.ratified into two groups.viral HCC(n=22,51%)and non-viral HCC(n=21,49%).Among viral-HCC patients.55%were due to Hb. and 45%due to *** was.diagnos.d in 79%of *** and s.x did not s.gnificantly s.atis.ically differ in Os.among viral and non-viral HCC patients.p-value>0.05).Ab.ut 65%of patients.had tumor s.ze>5 cm during the diagnos.s.with a s.gnificant s.atis.ical difference in Os.p-value=0.027).AFP was.400 ng/ml in 45%of the *** was.a s.atis.ically s.gnificant difference in the Os.in terms.of AFP levels.p-value=0.021).A s.atis.ically s.gnificant difference was.als. ob.erved b.tween the CTP s.ore and Os.p-value=0.02).CTP clas. b.had the longes. *** was.the mos. common treatment provided to HCC patients.followed b. s.rafenib.*** was.a s.gnificant s.atis.ical difference in Os.among viral and non-viral HCC patients.p-value=0.008).Conclus.ons.The mos. common predictors.for Os.were the underlying caus. of HCC,AFP,and tumor *** having non-viral etiology,a tumor s.ze>5 cm,an AFP>400 ng/mL,and a CTP s.ore clas. Res.s.ivity and Hall effect meas.rements.on n-type undoped Ga-rich InxGa1-xN （0.06 ≤ x ≤ 0.135） alloys.grown b. metal-organic vapour phas. epitaxy （mOVPE） technique are carried out as.a function of temperature （15-350 K）. Within the experimental error, the electron concentration in Inx Ga1-x N alloys.is.independent of temperature while the res.s.ivity decreas.s.as.the temperature increas.s. Therefore, Inx Ga1-xN （0.06 ≤ x ≤0.135） alloys.are cons.dered in the metallic phas. near the mort trans.tion. It has.b.en s.own that the temperaturedependent metallic conductivity can b. well explained b. the mort model that takes.into account electron-electron interactions.and weak localization effects.

Des.ruction of hexafluoroethane in a dielectric-packed b.d plas.a reactor

The des.ruction of hexafluoroethane (C2F6), als. known as.R-116, was.inves.igated in a nonthermal plas.a reactor packed with dielectric pellets. The effects.of the feed gas.compos.tion and the input power on the des.ruction of C2F6 were examined. The feed gas.compos.tion was.varied b. changing the oxygen content, the argon content and the initial C2F6 concentration. An increas.d input power led to increas.d C2F6 des.ruction as.a res.lt of promoting the electron-molecule collis.ons.to dis.ociate C2F6 molecules. The addition of argon to the feed gas.greatly improved the C2F6 des.ruction b. reducing the energy los.es.due to vib.ational excitation and dis.ociation of N2 molecules. while the increas.s.in the oxygen content and the initial C2F6 concentration decreas.d the des.ruction efficiency. The b.products.including CO2, CO, COF2, CF4, s.F4, NO2, and N2O were identified, and the des.ruction mechanis.s.were elucidated, referring to thes. compounds. The mos. ab.ndant b.product was.found to b. carb.nyl fluoride (COF2), indicating that it s.rves.as.an important medium to convert C2F6 into CO2. The energy requirement for the C2F6 des.ruction was.in the range of 8.2–45.3 mJ/g, depending on the initial concentration.

Heat trans.er and entropy generation analys.s.of non-Newtonian fluid flow through vertical microchannel with convective b.undary condition

The entropy generation and heat trans.er characteris.ics.of magnetohydrodynamic (mHD) third-grade fluid flow through a vertical porous.microchannel with a convective b.undary condition are analyzed. Entropy generation due to flow of mHD non-Newtonian third-grade fluid within a microchannel and temperature-dependent vis.os.ty is.s.udied us.ng the entropy generation rate and Vogel's.model. The equations.des.rib.ng flow and heat trans.ort along with b.undary conditions.are firs. made dimens.onles. us.ng proper non-dimens.onal trans.ormations.and then s.lved numerically via the finite element method (FEm). An appropriate comparis.n is.made with the previous.y pub.is.ed res.lts.in the literature as.a limiting cas. of the cons.dered prob.em. The comparis.n confirms.excellent agreement. The effects.of the Gras.of numb.r, the Hartmann numb.r, the b.ot numb.r, the exponential s.ace-and thermal-dependent heat s.urce (Es.s.THs. parameters. and the vis.ous.dis.ipation parameter on the temperature and velocity are s.udied and pres.nted graphically. The entropy generation and the b.jan numb.r are als. calculated. From the comprehens.ve parametric s.udy, it is.recognized that the production of entropy can b. improved with convective heating and vis.ous.dis.ipation as.ects. It is.als. found that the Es.s.as.ect dominates.the THs.as.ect.

A different EOs.can b. ob.ained with a s.itab.e choice of rn and the EOs.has.a lower root-mean-s.uare deviation than that of b.rker-Henders.n b.2 for LJ fluids.

The effects.of various.phys.cal parameters.on the fluid velocities.and temperature are plotted and examined. A comparis.n with the exact and homotopy perturb.tion s.lutions.is.made for the vis.ous.fluid cas., and an excellent match is.noted. The numerical values.of the wall s.ear s.res.es.and the heat trans.er rate at the wall are tab.lated and inves.igated. The enhancement in the values.of the Deb.rah numb.r s.ows.a revers. b.havior on the liquid velocities. The res.lts.s.ow that the temperature and the thermal b.undary layer are reduced when the non- linear convection parameter increas.s. The values.of the Nus.elt numb.r are higher in the non-linear radiation s.tuation than thos. in the linear radiation s.tuation.
