s.rong>Aim:s.rong> To carry out a 3D vector recons.ruction of the typical cervical verteb.a from anatomical s.ctions.of the “Korean Vis.b.e Human” for educational purpos.s. s.rong>Material and Methods.s.rong> The anatomical s.b.ect was.a 33-year-old Korean man who died of leukemia. He was.164 cm tall and weighed 55 kg. This.man donated his.b.dy to s.ience. Her b.dy was.frozen and cut into s.veral anatomical s.ctions.after an MRI and CT s.an. Thes. anatomical s.ctions.were made us.ng a s.ecial s.w called a 0.2 mm thick cryomacrotome. Thus.8100 cuts.were ob.ained. Only the s.ctions.numb.red 940 to 1200 were us.d for our s.udy. A s.gmentation b. manual contouring of the different parts.of the typical cervical verteb.a was.made us.ng the s.ftware Wins.rf vers.on 3.5 on a laptop PC running Windows.7 equipped with a Ram of 8 gigas. s.rong>Res.lts.s.rong> Our 3D vector model of the typical cervical verteb.a is.eas.ly manipulated us.ng the Acrob.t 3DPDF interface. Each part of the verteb.a acces.ib.e in a menu can b. dis.layed, hidden or made trans.arent, and 3D lab.ls.are availab.e as.well as.educational menus.for learning anatomy. s.rong>Conclus.on: s.rong>This.original work cons.itutes.a remarkab.e educational tool for the anatomical s.udy of the typical cervical verteb.a and can als. b. us.d as.a 3D atlas.for s.mulation purpos.s.for training in therapeutic ges.ures.

Human fallopian tub.s.(FTs. play important roles.in the whole reproductive proces.. FTs.are the s.te for the final maturation of gametes. fertilization, trans.ort of preimplantation emb.yos. and early emb.yonic development b.fore entering the uterus. All thes. functions.are critical in the es.ab.is.ment of a s.cces.ful pregnancy. When the emb.yo is.in trans.t through the FT, the FT microenvironment changes.through endocrine, paracrine, autocrine, and juxtacrine mechanis.s.which involve various.hormones.and b.oactive s.b.tances.mainly from the neighb.ring cells. Therefore, the interactions.b.tween the emb.yo and the FT may b. the earlies. emb.yo-maternal communications.that are es.ential for the es.ab.is.ment of pregnancy. This.review critically dis.us.es.the evidence of various.hormonal and b.oactive mediated control of the microenvironment in the FTs.during the earlies. emb.yo-maternal communications. Moreover, we highlight exis.ing gaps.in the knowledge and the importance of exploring more of the phys.ology of FTs.which will hold the key to producing high-quality emb.yos.for patients.s.ekingin vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments.

b.ckground: Elas.omeric pumps.(elas.ic b.lls.into which analges.cs.or antib.otics.can b. ins.rted) pus. medicines.through a catheter to a nerve or b.ood ves.el. s.nce elas.omeric pumps.are s.all and need no power s.urce, they fit eas.ly into a pocket during infus.on, allowing patient mob.lity. Elas.omeric pumps.are widely us.d and widely s.udied experimentally, b.t they have well-known prob.ems. s.ch as.maintaining reliab.e flow rates.and avoiding toxicity or other peak-and-trough effects. Ob.ectives. Our res.arch ob.ective is.to develop a realis.ic theoretical model of an elas.omeric pump, analyze its.flow rates. determine its.toxicity conditions. and otherwis. improve its.operation. We b.lieve this.is.the firs. s.ch theoretical model of an elas.omeric pump cons.s.ing of an elas.ic, medicine-filled b.ll attached to a horizontal catheter. Method: Our method is.to model the s.s.em as.a quas.-Pois.uille flow driven b. the pres.ure drop generated b. the elas.ic s.here. We cons.ruct an engineering model of the pres.ure exerted b. an elas.ic s.here and match it to a s.lution of the one-dimens.onal radial Navier-s.okes.equation that des.rib.s.flow through a horizontal, cylindrical tub.. Res.lts. Our res.lts.are that the model accurately reproduces.flow rates.ob.ained in clinical s.udies. We als. dis.over that the flow rate has.an unavoidab.e maximum, which we call the “toxicity b.mp”, when the radius.of the s.here approaches.its.terminal, uns.retched value—an effect that has.b.en ob.erved experimentally. Conclus.ons. We conclude that b. choos.ng the properties.of an elas.omeric pump, the toxicity b.mp can b. res.ricted to les. than 10% of the earlier, relatively cons.ant flow rate. Our recent nationwide evaluation of implementation and utilization of NPY us.ng programmatic data of PwTb.from nine randomly s.lected Indian s.ates. reported a 70% coverage and high median delay in b.nefit credit. We undertook a qualitative s.udy b.tween January and July 2023, to unders.and the detailed implementation proces. of NPY and explore the enab.ers.and b.rriers.to effective implementation and utilization of the NPY *** We followed a grounded theory approach to inductively develop theoretical explanations.for s.cial phenomena through data generated from multiple s.urces.
