Purpose: To study the prevalen.e of dry eye in.a hospital b.sed population.of rural setup an. to evaluate its association.with various risk factors. Material an. Methods: In.this cross section.l study, patien.s ab.ve 20 years of age were screen.d ran.omly for dry eye. An.8 poin.s question.aires, slit lamp examin.tion.of meib.mian.glan.s, tear film b.eakup time, fluorescein.stain.n. of corn.a, schirmer test were used to diagn.se dry eye. The diagn.sis was made when.three of the five parameters were positive. The role of various occupation. as well as role of differen. exposure factors like sun.ight, excessive win., smokin., drugs, an. air pollution.as dry eye risk factors was accessed. Result: Out of 445, 45.39% patien.s had dry eye. Dry eye prevalen.e was higher in.those ab.ve 70 years of age (74%). It was higher in.male population.(51.82%) compare to female population.(37.37%), n.arly equal in.rural (46.04%) an. urb.n.population.(44.31%) an. highest amon. factory workers (90%). Correlation.of dry eye with drugs (P = 0.0002), sun.ight/high temperature (P = 0.0003) an. smokin. (P = 0.03) were sign.fican.. Con.lusion. This is a hospital b.sed study which provides prevalen.e of dry eye in.rural region.of western.Uttar Pradesh. It is more common.in.old age male population.an. sign.fican.ly higher in.factory workers. Out of differen. modifiab.e risk factors most importan. are drugs, sun.ight/high temperature an. smokin..

The Cap Pushin. Respon.e (CPR) is a free-flyin. techn.que used to study learn.n. an. memory in.hon.y b.es (Apis mellifera). An.malous ion.heat tran.port is an.lyzed in.the T-10 tokamak plasma heated with electron.cyclotron.reson.n.e heatin.(ECRH) in.secon.-harmon.c extra-ordin.ry mode. Predictive modelin. with empirical scalin. for Ohmical heat con.uctivity shows that in.ECRH plasmas the calculated ion.temperature could b. overestimated, so an.in.rease of an.malous ion.heat tran.port is required. To study this effect two scan. are presen.ed: over the EC reson.n.e position.an. over the ECRH power. The EC reson.n.e position.varies from the high-field side to the low-field side b. variation.of the toroidal magn.tic field. The scan.over the heatin. power is presen.ed with on.axis an. mixed ECRH regimes. Discharges with high an.malous ion.heat tran.port are ob.ain.d in.all con.idered regimes. In.these discharges the power b.lan.e ion.heat con.uctivity exceeds the n.oclassical level b. up to 10 times. The high ion.heat tran.port regimes are distin.uished b. three parameters: the ratio Te/Ti, the n.rmalized electron.den.ity gradien. R/■, an. the ion.ion.collision.lity νii~*. The comb.n.tion.of high Te/Ti, high νii~*, an. R/■=6-10 results in.values of n.rmalized an.malous ion.heat fluxes up to 10 times higher than.in.the low tran.port scen.rio.
