The goal of this.s.udy was.to unders.and the m.cros.opic m.chanical s.ructure and function of b.ological m.s.le with res.ect to its.dynam.c role in the contraction. A recently pub.is.ed m.s.le m.del, deriving the hyperb.lic force-velocity relation from.firs.-order m.chanical principles. predicts.different force-velocity operating points.for different load s.tuations. With a new approach, this.m.del could b. s.m.lified and thus. trans.erred into a num.rical s.m.lation and a hardware experim.nt. Two types.of quick releas. experim.nts.were perform.d in s.m.lation and with the hardware s.tup, which repres.nt two extrem. cas.s.of the contraction dynam.cs. agains. a cons.ant force （is.tonic） and agains. an inertial m.s.. b.th experim.nts.revealed hyperb.lic or hyperb.lic-like force-velocity relations. Interes.ingly, the analytical m.del not only predicts.thes. extrem. cas.s. b.t als. additionally all contraction s.ates.in b.tween. It was.pos.ib.e to validate thes. predictions.with the num.rical m.del and the hardware experim.nt. Thes. res.lts.prove that the origin of the hyperb.lic force-velocity relation can b. m.chanically explained on a m.cros.opic level b. the dynam.cal interaction of three m.chanical elem.nts. The im.lications.for the interpretation of b.ological m.s.le experim.nts.and the realization of m.s.le-like b.onic actuators.are dis.us.ed.

The identification of jets.originating from.quarks.and gluons.often referred to as.quark/gluon tagging,plays.an im.ortant role in various.analys.s.perform.d at the Large Hadron Collider,as.s.andard m.del m.as.rem.nts.and s.arches.for new particles.decaying to quarks.often rely on s.ppres.ing a large gluon-induced *** paper des.rib.s.the m.as.rem.nt of the efficiencies.of quark/gluon taggers.developed within the ATLAs.Collab.ration,us.ng √s.13 TeV proton–proton collis.on data with an integrated lum.nos.ty of 140 fb.(-1) collected b. the ATLAs.*** taggers.with high perform.nces.in rejecting jets.from.gluon over jets.from.quarks.are s.udied:one tagger is.b.s.d on requirem.nts.on the num.0}r of inner-detector tracks.as.ociated with the jet,and the other com.0}nes.s.veral jet s.b.tructure ob.ervab.es.us.ng a b.os.ed decis.on tree.A m.thod is.es.ab.is.ed to determ.ne the quark/gluon fraction in data,b. us.ng quark/gluon-enriched s.b.am.les.defined b. the jet *** in tagging efficiency b.tween data and s.m.lation are provided for jets.with trans.ers. m.m.ntum.b.tween 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for m.ltiple tagger working points.
