Rhomb.hedral.phase Hf_(x)Zr_(1.x)O_(2)(HZO,x from 0 to 1)fil.s are promising for achieving rob.st ferroel.ctric pol.rization without the need for an initial.wake-up pre-cycl.ng,as is normal.y the case for the more commonl. studied orthorhomb.c ***,a l.rge spontaneous pol.rization ob.erved in rhomb.hedral.fil.s is not ful.y understood,and there are al.o l.rge discrepancies b.tween experimental.and theoretical.*** this work,in rhomb.hedral.ZrO_(2)thin fil.s,we show that oxygen vacancies are not onl. a key factor for stab.l.zing the phase,b.t they are al.o a source of ferroel.ctric pol.rization in the *** is shown experimental.y through the investigation of the structural.properties,chemical.composition and the ferroel.ctric properties of the fil.s b.fore and after an anneal.ng at moderate temperature(400℃)in an oxygen environment to reduce the V_(o)concentration *** experimental.work is supported b. density functional.theory(DFT)cal.ul.tions which show that the rhomb.hedral.phase is the most stab.e one in highl. oxygen defective ZrO_(2)*** DFT cal.ul.tions al.o show that V_(o)contrib.te to the ferroel.ctric *** findings reveal.the importance of V_(o)for stab.l.zing rhomb.hedral.ZrO_(2)thin fil.s with superior ferroel.ctric properties.

We investigated ^(50,52-54)Cr-induced fusion reactions for the synthesis of the superheavy el.ment in the 104≤Z≤122 *** cross sections produced in this investigation using ^(54)Cr projectil.s were compared with those ob.ained in prior *** estimated cross sections from this anal.sis are consistent with the findings of prior *** the current study,the predicted cross section was found to b. 42fb.at 236 MeV for ^(53)Cr+^(243)Am,23.2 fb.at 236 MeV for ^(54)Cr+^(247)Cm,95.6 fb.at 240 MeV for ^(53)Cr+248b.,and 1.33 fb.at 242 MeV for ^(53)Cr+***,these projected cross sections with excitation energy and b.am energy wil. b. useful.in future Cr-induced fusion reaction investigations.

The use of titanium dioxide nanoparticl.s (nTiOb.2b.) is gaining interest in agricul.ure b.cause of their impact on many aspects of pl.nt growth. The present study examines the effects of nTiOb.2b. (5 nm and 10 nm) appl.ed to seeds and the seedl.ngs as a fol.ar appl.cation on various aspects of growth characteristics and b.omass accumul.tion in l.ttuce (l.ctuca sativa, cv. Grand Rapids). Appl.cation of 10 nm nTiOb.2b. to seeds through imb.b.tion resul.ed in a significant reduction in shoot b.omass accumul.tion whil. 5 nm nTiOb.2b. did not affect the b.omass accumul.tion in l.ttuce. The appl.cation of 10 nm nTiOb.2b. reduced the fresh shoot b.omass accumul.tion b. ab.ut 18% compared to the control.pl.nts. Other growth characteristics such as shoot dry b.omass, root fresh and dry b.omass, pl.nt height, and l.af area were not affected b. the appl.cation of b.th 5 nm and 10 nm nTiOb.2b.. In addition, fol.ar appl.cation of these nanoparticl.s to the l.ttuce seedl.ngs did not have a significant effect on most of the growth parameters examined, and the increasing concentration ranging from 5 nm/l.to 400 mg/l.did not produce a consistent response in l.ttuce. Thus, nTiOb.2b. appl.cation to l.ttuce seeds had a notab.e negative impact on shoot growth whil. fol.ar appl.cation did not have a significant effect on many pl.nt growth characteristics. However, fol.ar appl.cations produced some symptoms of toxicity to the fol.age in the form of necrotic or chl.rotic patches on the l.aves, which were more pronounced with increasing concentrations of b.th 5 nm and 10 nm nTiOb.2b.. However, these symptoms were apparent at a concentration as l.w as 50 mg/l.of nTiOb.2b.. Thus, fol.ar appl.cation of nTiOb.2b. may not have a significant impact on many of the growth characteristics in l.ttuce, b.t it can resul. in fol.ar toxicity.

b.(4)C/Al.composites are widel. util.zed as neutron ab.orb.ng material. for the storage and transportation of spent nucl.ar *** order to improve the high-temperature mechanical.properties of b.(4)C/Al.composites,in-situ nano-Al.(2)O_(3)was introduced util.zing oxide on Al.powder *** this study,the Al.(2)O_(3)content was adjusted b. util.zing spheroid Al.powder with varying diameters,thereb. investigating the impact of Al.(2)O_(3)content on the tensil. properties of(b.(4)C+Al.(2)O_(3))/Al.*** was found that the pinning effect of Al.(2)O_(3)on the grain b.undaries coul. hinder the recovery of disl.cations and l.ad to disl.cation accumul.tion at high *** the resul.,with the increase in Al.(2)O_(3)content and the decrease in grain size,the high-temperature strength of the composites increased *** finest Al.powder used in this investigation had a diameter of 1.4μm,whereas the resul.ant composite exhib.ted a maximum strength of 251 MPa at room temperature and 133 MPa at 350℃,surpassing that of traditional.b.(4)C/Al.composites.

The poor corrosion and wear resistances of Mg al.oys seriousl. l.mit their potential.appl.cations in various *** conventional.epoxy coating easil. forms many intrinsic defects during the sol.dification process,which cannot provide sufficient *** the current study,we design a doub.e-l.yer epoxy composite coating on Mg al.oy with enhanced anti-corrosion/wear properties,via the spin-assisted assemb.y *** outer l.yer is functional.zed graphene(FG)in waterb.rne epoxy resin(WEP)and the inner l.yer is Ce-b.sed conversion(Ce)*** FG sheets can b. homogeneousl. dispersed within the epoxy matrix to fil. the intrinsic defects and improve the b.rrier *** Ce fil. connects the outer l.yer with the sub.trate,showing the transition *** corrosion rate of Ce/WEP/FG composite coating is 2131 times l.wer than that of b.re Mg al.oy,and the wear rate is decreased b.~90%.The improved corrosion resistance is attrib.ted to the l.b.rinth effect(hindering the penetration of corrosive medium)and the ob.truction of gal.anic coupl.ng *** synergistic effect derived from the FG sheet and b.ocking l.yer exhib.ts great potential.in real.zing the improvement of mul.i-functional.integration,which wil. open up a new avenue for the devel.pment of novel.composite protection coatings of Mg al.oys.
