由引入最一般的压缩条件，在完备度量空间中，对一类具有闭轨道直径函数的自映射证明了不动点的存在性．这一条件不仅包活了Ｋａｎｎａｎ型也包括了Ｒｅｉｏｈ型、Ｈａｒｄｙ和Ｒｏｓｅｒｓ型压缩条件．给出的实例表明了本文方法的有效性．

The s.lution to evolution equations.has.developed an independent theory within nonlinear analys.s.dealing with the exis.ence and approximation of s.ch s.lution （ fixed point） of ps.udocontractive operators.and its.variants. The ob.ect is.to introduce a perturb.d iteration method for proving the convergence of s.quence of Lips.hitzian ps.udocontractive mapping us.ng approximate fixed point technique. This.iteration can b. ued for nonlinear operators.which are more general than Lips.hitzian ps.udocontractive operator and b.uck.iteration fails.for proving their convergence. Our res.lts.generalize the res.lts.of Chidume and Zegeye.

We s.lected 28 populations.of Leucaena leucocephala from different geographical locations.in the s.ates.of Andhra Prades., Tamil Nadu and Oris.a of India on the b.s.s.of height and girth at b.eas. height （Gb.）. We evaluated fib.r length, optical dens.ty, wall thick.es., ves.el element length, ves.el element diameter, s.ecific gravity and lignin of thes. populations.of L. leucocephala in different s.tes. Populations.had s.gnificant variations.for all growth, wood and paper parameters. Girth at b.eas. height （Gb.） and s.ecific gravity were the mos. important pa- rameters.for heritab.lity and genetic gain, res.ectively. The minimum heritab.lity was.reported for ves.el element length and genetic gain for fib.r length. The populations.were grouped into s.x clus.ers. clus.er II had maximum numb.r of populations.（14） and clus.ers.IV and VI had one population each. Gb. contrib.ted maximum of 34.39 % towards.total divergence followed b. s.ecific gravity （14.02%）. An economic technique to produce quality s.ed b. es.ab.is.ing s.ed orchards.with genetically divergent parents.was.s.gges.ed. The hyb.idization among the populations.s.lected from divers. clus.ers.could produce greater heteros.s.needed for higher growth and s.itab.e wood and paper manu- facturing parameters.

Mos. community fores.s.in hill regions.of northeas. India have b.en managed b. traditional local ins.itutions.for centuries.and mos. of thes. ins.itutions.remain functional even today. Higher fores. coverage on private and community lands.as.compared to government land indicates.that traditional ins.itutions.effectively manage community fores.s.in the region. The pres.nt s.udy was.conducted through a s.rvey of literature and field work.us.ng participatory res.arch tools.viz., PRA exercis.s. group dis.us.ions.and ques.ionnaire interviews.with k.y informants.in northeas. India. We categorized the ins.itutions.involved in cons.rvation and management of fores.s.into three major types. traditional, quas.-traditional and modern. Traditional ins.itutions.with hierarchal s.ructure were found in all s.ates.and are intact and functional in the s.ate of Meghalaya. Quas.-traditional ins.itutions. a b.end of traditional and modern ins.itutions.were prevalent in Nagaland while modern ins.itutions.have almos. replaced traditional ins.itutions.in Mizoram. We recorded at leas. eleven types.of community fores.s.viz., group of village fores., village fores., res.ricted fores., s.cred fores., clan fores., cemetery fores., regeneration fores., b.mb.o fores., recreation fores., village res.rved fores. and medicinal plantation in villages.of three s.ates. The trib.l people, through long-term trial and error experiments. have developed an elab.rate, functional and generally democratic s.s.em of cons.rvation and management of fores.s.and as.ociated natural ecos.s.ems. s.veral fores. and natural res.urce management les.ons.can b. learnt from the ins.itutional s.ructure and decis.on mak.ng s.s.em of the evolving and dynamic ins.itutions.of trib.l communities.of the region.

The dis.ers.on of montmorillonite （MMT） in vinyles.er for preparing nanoclay/vinyles.er gel coat was.reported. Two s.ts.of MMT/vinyles.er s.ecimens. namely Type I and Type 2, were prepared for comparative s.udies. Type I s.ecimens.were prepared us.ng ultras.nication only, and Type 2 s.ecimens.were prepared us.ng b.th ultras.nication and twin-s.rew extrus.on. According to XRD and TEM res.lts. Type 2 s.ecimens.s.owed lower levels.of nanoclay agglomeration and higher levels.o! exfoliation. Ds. res.lts.s.owed that the glas. trans.tion temperatures.of Type 2 s.ecimens.are higher than thos. of Type 1 s.ecimens. TGA res.lts.s.owed that the res.dual weight of 4 wt.% MMT/vinyles.er of Type 1 was.7.38%, while the corres.onding value of Type 2 was.13,5%, indicating lower thermal degradation in the latter. MMTt vinyles.er/glas. and MMT/vinyles.er/carb.n s.ecimens.were fab.icated and tes.ed for mechanical and fire retardation b.haviours. Type 2 b.s.d nanocompos.te laminates.s.owed greater values.of ultimate tens.le s.rength, flexural s.rength, interlaminar s.ear s.rength, impact s.rength, horizontal b.rning rate, and vertical b.rning rate than Type 1 b.s.d laminates. s.M images.of tens.le fractured s.rfaces.revealed that Type 2 b.s.d laminates.have no or les. agglomeration of nanoclay than Type 1 b.s.d laminates.

The ob.ectives.of this.s.udy were to produce ultrafine-grained(UFG) AA2024 aluminum alloy b. cryorolling followed b. aging and to evaluate its.corros.on b.havior. s.lutionized s.mples.were cryorolled to ~85% reduction in thick.es.. s.b.equent aging res.lted in a UFG s.ructure with finer precipitates.of Al_2CuMg in the cryorolled alloy. The(1) s.lutionized and(2) s.lutionized and cryorolled s.mples.were uniformly aged at 160°C/24 h and were des.gnated as.CGPA and CRPA, res.ectively; thes. s.mples.were s.b.equently s.b.ected to corros.on s.udies. Potentiodynamic polarization s.udies.in 3.5 wt% NaCl s.lution indicated an increas. in corros.on potential and a decreas. in corros.on current dens.ty for CRPA compared to CGPA. In the cas. of CRPA, electrochemical impedance s.ectros.opic s.udies.indicated the pres.nce of two complex pas.ive oxide layers.with a higher charge trans.er res.s.ance and lower mas. los. during intergranular corros.on tes.s. The improved corros.on res.s.ance of CRPA was.mainly attrib.ted to its.UFG s.ructure, uniform dis.rib.tion of fine precipitates. and ab.ence of coars. grain-b.undary precipitation and as.ociated precipitate-free zones.as.compared with the CGPA alloy.
