The single-phase high-entropy alloy film is difficult to meet severe friction conditions due to its low hardness and high friction ***-composite structure film is composed of at least two separated phases,showing the properties of strength and toughness integration and excellent wear *** design of nanocomposite structures can effectively improve the mechanical properties and tribological properties of high-entropy alloy *** this study,the(CuNiTiNbCr)C_(x) nanocomposite high-entropy films(HEFs)integrated with high hardness,high toughness,and self-lubrication were synthesized by the double-target co-sputtering *** effect of carbon content on microstructure,mechanical properties,and tribological properties of(CuNiTiNbCr)C_(x) films was *** the increase of carbon content in the HEFs,the carbon atoms preferentially react with Ti,Nb,and Cr to form a(TiNbCr)C ceramic-reinforced phase,and then the excess carbon atoms precipitate in the form of amorphous carbon(a-C)lubricating phase in the *** structure of the HEFs changes from an amorphous structure to a nanocomposite structure of amorphous(amorphous CuNiTiNbCr phase+a-C phase)/nanocrystalline(TiN-bCr)C *** the carbon content is about 21.2 at.%,the carbide phase in the film reaches saturation and the hardness and modulus of the films are highest,which are 18 GPa and 228 GPa,*** HEFs with a carbon content of 44.0 at.%show the best toughness and tribological properties with a friction coefficient of 0.16 and a wear rate of 2.4×10^(-6) mm^(3)/(N m),which is mainly attributed to the excellent resistance to fatigue crack growth and the interfacial lubricating layer formed in the friction *** nanocomposite(CuNiTiNbCr)C_(x) HEFs show very promising application prospect in the field of friction protection.

Polarized electron beam production via laser wakefield acceleration in pre-polarized plasma is investigated by particlein-cell *** evolution of the electron beam polarization is studied based on the Thomas±bargmann±Michel±Telegdi equation for the transverse and longitudinal self-injection,and the depolarization process is found to be influenced by the injection *** the case of transverse self-injection,as found typically in the bubble regime,the spin precession of the accelerated electrons is mainly influenced by the ***,in the case of longitudinal injection in the quasi-1D regime(for example,*** et al.,***.110,135002(2013)),the direction of electron spin oscillates in the laser *** the electrons move around the laser axis,the net influence of the laser field is nearly zero and the contribution of the wakefield can be ***,an ultra-short electron beam with polarization of 99%can be obtained using longitudinal self-injection.

Unique Genetic Features of Lean NAFLD: A Review of Mechanisms and Clinical Implications

Despite the engineering potential by the co-existence of inorganic and organic substances to protect vulnerable metallic materials from corrosive environments,both their interaction and in-situ formation mechanism to induce the nature-inspired composite remained less *** present work used three distinctive mercaptobenzazole(Mb)compounds working as corrosion inhibitors,such as 2-mercaptobenzoxazole(MbO),2-mercaptobenzothiazole(MbT),and 2-mercaptobenzimidazole(MbI)in a bid to understand how the geometrical structure arising from O,S,and N atoms affected the interaction toward inorganic *** compounds that were used here to control the corrosion kinetics would be interacted readily with the pre-existing MgO layer fabricated by plasma *** phenomenon triggered the nucleation of the root network since Mb compounds were seen to be adsorbed actively on the defective surface through the active sites in Mb ***,the molecule with twin donor atoms adjacent to the mercapto-sites affected the facile growth of the grass-like structures with‘uniform’distribution via molecular self-assembly,which showed better corrosion performance than those with having dissimilar donor atoms with the inhibition efficiency(η)of 97%*** formation mechanism underlying nucleation and growth behavior of Mb molecule was discussed concerning the theoretical calculation of density functional theory.

Gravity models given by higher-order scalar curvature corrections are believed to bear important consequences. Einstein-bel-Robinson (EbR) gravity with quartic curvature modification motivated Sajadi et al. to explore static spherically symmetric black hole solutions using perturbative methods. In this study, inspired by their work, we investigate AdS black hole shadows in EbR gravity and demonstrate how the gravity parameter alters the energy emission rate. Finally, we address the same problem in the presence of plasma, because the black holes are thought to be surrounded by a medium that changes the geodesic of photons.

Hierarchical Control Strategy for Load Regulation based on Stackelberg Game Theory Considering randomness

Demand response has been recognized as a valuable functionality of power systems for mitigating power *** paper proposes a hierarchical control strategy among the distribution system operator(DSO),load aggregators(LAs),and thermostatically controlled loads(TCLs);the strategy includes a scheduling layer and an executive layer to provide load *** the scheduling layer,the DSO(leader)offers compensation price(CP)strategies,and the LAs(followers)respond to CP strategies with available regulation power(ARP)*** of the DSO and LAs are modeled according to their behaviors during the load regulation *** game is adopted to capture interactions among the players and leader and to obtain the optimal strategy for each participant to achieve ***,considering inevitable random factors in practice,e.g.,renewable generation and behavior of users,two different stochastic models based on sample average approximation(SAA)and parameter modification are formulated with improved scheduling *** the executive layer,distributed TCLs are triggered based on strategies determined in the scheduling layer.A self-triggering method that does not violate user privacy is presented,where TCLs receive external signals from the LA and independently determine whether to alter their operation *** simulations are performed on the modified IEEE-24 bus system to verify effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

With deployment of measurement units,fitting static equivalent models of distribution networks(DNs)by linear regression has been recognized as an effective method in power flow analysis of a transmission *** volatility of measurements caused by variable distributed renewable energy sources makes it more difficult to accurately fit such equivalent *** tackle this challenge,this letter proposes a novel data-driven method to improve equivalency accuracy of DNs with distributed energy *** letter provides a new perspective that an equivalent model can be regarded as a mapping from internal conditions and border voltages to border power *** mapping can be established through 1)Koopman operator theory,and 2)physical features of power flow equations at the root node of a *** of the proposed method is demonstrated on the IEEE 33-bus and IEEE 136-bus test systems connected to a 661-bus utility system.
