In this paper, three intelligent approaches were proposed, applied to direct torque control （DTC） of induction motor drive to replace conventional hysteresis comparators and selection table, namely fuzzy logic, artificial neural network and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system （ANFIS）. The simulated results obtained demonstrate the feasibility of the adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system based direct torque control （ANFIS-DTC）. Compared with the classical direct torque control, fuzzy logic based direct torque control （FL-DTC）, and neural networks based direct torque control （NN- DTC）, the proposed ANFIS-based scheme optimizes the electromagnetic torque and stator flux ripples, and incurs much shorter execution times and hence the errors caused by control time delays are minimized. The validity of the proposed methods is confirmed by simulation results.

This paper mainly studies the comparison of the global vehicle models and the effects of the inertial parameters due to the center of gravity(CG)positions when we consider that the vehicle has only one *** paper proposes a new nonlinear model vehicle model which considers both unsprung mass and sprung mass *** CG positions and inertial parameters effects are analyzed in terms of the published vehicle dynamics *** this end,two 14 degree-of-freedom(DOF)vehicle models are developed and compared to investigate the vehicle dynamics responses due to the different CG height and inertial parameters *** proposed models describe simultaneously the vehicle motion in longitudinal,lateral and vertical directions as well as roll,pitch and yaw of the vehicle about corresponding *** passive and active moments and the forces acting on the vehicle are also described and they are considered as a direct consequence of acceleration,braking and steering *** proposed model M1 takes both the CG of sprung mass,unsprung mass and total vehicle mass into *** second model M2 assumes that the vehicle is one solid body which has a single CG as reported in majority of *** two vehicle models are compared and analyzed to evaluate vehicle ride and handling dynamic responses under braking/acceleration and cornering *** results show that the proposed model M1 could offer analytically some abilities and driving performances,as well as improved roll and pitch in a very flexible manner compared to the second model M2.

Effects of bimetallic catalysts on synthesis of nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes as nanoscale energetic materials

Well aligned nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes （CNx-NTs）, as energetic materials, are synthesized on a silicon substrate by aerosol-assisted chemical vapor deposition, Tungsten （W） and molybdenum （Mo） metals are respectively introduced to combine with iron （Fe） to act as a bimetallic co-catalyst layer. Cor- relations between the composition and shape of the co-catalyst and morphology, size, growth rate and nitrogen doping amount of the synthesized CNx-NTs are investigated by secondary and backscattered electron imaging in a field emission scanning electron microscope （FESEM） and X-ray photoelectron spectrometer （XPS）. Compared to pure iron catalyst, W-Fe co-catalyst can result in lower growth rate, larger diameter and wider size distribution of the CNx-NTs; while incorporation of molybdenum into the iron catalyst layer can reduce the diameter and size distribution of the nanotubes. Compared to the sole iron catalyst, Fe-W catalyst impedes nitrogen doping while Fe-Mo catalyst promotes the incorporation of nitrogen into the nanotubes. The present work indicates that CNx-NTs with modulated size, growth rate and nitrogen doping concentration are expected to be synthesized by tuning the size and composition of co-catalysts, which may find great potential in producing CNx-NTs with controlled structure and properties,

Vibrational spectroscopy analysis of full-ripened fig fruits(Ficus carica L.)was acquired using Fourier-transformed infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy by attenuated total reflectance(ATR).The objective of this study was to investigate accurate discrimination of 25 fig cultivars using chemometric analysis of both ATR-FTIR fingerprinting and in-vitro antioxidant activity along with chromatic coordinates ***-vitro antioxidant activity was assessed through three methods and displayed statistically significant differences across cultivars and between the fruit parts,with promising antioxidant *** spectra were measured separately on both peels and pulp to better know which fruit part provides high discrimination throughput between *** results showed vibration intensities of five fingerprint regions displaying statically significant *** highest vibration intensity occurred in the region of 1175-940 cm^(-1)including the phenols *** components analysis based on integrated intensities corresponding to fingerprint regions,revealed two main groups in pulp samples,while five groups in peels *** pulp extracts of’Nabout’showed a typical vibration in 3000-2800 cm^(-1)and 1775-1725 cm^(-1)regions and,therefore was classified as single subset in cultivars *** cultivar had a lightcolored fig and exhibited the highest antioxidant potency for all essays particularly in peel *** biochemical assessment and FTIR fingerprinting data were involved in PCA analysis,and that displayed some dissimilarities in the classification patterns,given the fact that antioxidant activities and chromaticity together could not totally explain the classification based on FTIR fingerprinting between peel and *** of FTIR-ATR spectroscopy to discriminate fig cultivars seems to be a rapid,accurate and cost-effective alternative to laborious measurement techniques,in fig quality screening and preselection,such as chromatog

In the paper,a novel self-learning energy management strategy(EMS)is proposed for fuel cell hybrid electric vehicles(FCHEV)to achieve the hydrogen saving and maintain the battery *** the EMS,it is proposed to approximate the EMS policy function with fuzzy inference system(FIS)and learn the policy parameters through policy gradient reinforcement learning(PGRL).Thus,a so-called Fuzzy REINFORCE algorithm is first proposed and studied for EMS problem in the *** REINFORCE is a model-free method that the EMS agent can learn itself through interactions with environment,which makes it independent of model accuracy,prior knowledge,and expert ***,to stabilize the training process,a fuzzy baseline function is adopted to approximate the value function based on FIS without affecting the policy gradient ***-over,the drawbacks of traditional reinforcement learning such as high computation burden,long convergence time,can also be *** effectiveness of the proposed methods were verified by Hardware-in-Loop *** adaptability of the proposed method to the changes of driving conditions and system states is also verified.

Malaria infection continues to be a major problem in many parts of the world including *** variables are known to significantly affect the population dynamics and abundance of insects,major catalysts of vector-borne diseases,but the exact extent and consequences of this sensitivity are not yet well *** assess the impact of the variability in temperature and rainfall on the transmission dynamics of malaria in a population,we propose a model consisting of a system of non-autonomous deterministic equations that incorporate the effect of both temperature and rainfall to the dispersion and mortality rate of adult *** model has been validated using epidemiological data collected from the western region of Ethiopia by considering the trends for the cases of malaria and the climate variation in the ***,a mathematical analysis is performed to assess the impact of temperature and rainfall change on the transmission dynamics of the *** periodic variation of seasonal variables as well as the non-periodic variation due to the long-term climate variation have been incorporated and *** both periodic and non-periodic cases,it has been shown that the disease-free solution of the model is globally asymptotically stable when the basic reproduction ratio is less than unity in the periodic system and when the threshold function is less than unity in the non-periodic *** disease is uniformly persistent when the basic reproduction ratio is greater than unity in the periodic system and when the threshold function is greater than unity in the non-periodic system.

The present investigation targets minimum cost of reactors in series for the case of one single chemical reaction, considering plug flow and stirred tank reactor(s) in the sequence of flow reactors. Using Guthrie's cost correlations three typical cases were considered based on the profile of the reaction rate reciprocal versus conversion. Significant differences were found compared to the classical approach targeting minimum total reactor volume.

At present,air handling units are usually used indoors to improve the indoor environment ***,while introducing fresh air to improve air quality,air velocity has a certain impact on the occupants’thermal ***,it is necessary to explore the optimization of air-fluid-body interaction *** this study,the indoor air flow was changed by changing the opening and closing degree of the blower,and the thermal manikin is introduced to objectively evaluate the human thermal comfort under different air *** main experimental results show that the air change rate increases with the increase of the opening and closing degree of the blower considering an ACH(air changes per hour)range between 3.8 and *** a better prediction,a linear correlation with a coefficient of 0.995 is *** the blower’s opening is adjusted to 20%,25%,30%,35%,and 40%,the air velocity sensor positioned directly beneath the air inlet records average velocities of 0.19,0.20,0.21,0.28,and 0.34 m/s over four hours,*** on thermal comfort and the average sensation experienced by individuals indicate an initial increase followed by a decline when the blower’s operation begins,with optimal conditions achieved at a 35%*** findings offer valuable insights for future indoor air ventilation and heat transfer design strategies.
