Assessment of phytochemicals, antioxidant, anti-hemolytic, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer potential of flowers, leaves and stem extracts of Rosa arvensis

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate phytochemicals and in vitro biological potential of flowers, leaves and stem extracts of Rosa arvensis. METHODS: Presence of twenty secondary metabolites was confirmed and then phenolic and flavonoid contents were quantified spectrophotometrically. Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy was conducted to ascertain functional groups and antioxidant potential was examined using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl scavenging activity, total antioxidant capacity and total reducing power *** erythrocytes were used to assess anti-hemolytic activity and five bacterial strains were examined to determine antibacterial potential of plant extracts. Radish seeds were used to perform phytotoxic activity and cytotoxic potential was evaluated via brine shrimps and PC3 cell lines. RESULTS: Highest phenolic contents were detected in the methanolic extract of Rosa arvensis flower（RAFM） [（151.635 ± 0.005） gallic acid equivalent mg/g] and highest flavonoid contents in the chloroform leaf extract（RALC） [（108.228 ± 0.004） quercetin equivalent mg/g]. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy analysis showed the presence of wide range of functional groups. The antioxidant assays indicated highest DPPH scavenging activity [IC50（23.5 ± 0.6） μg/mL] in the methanolic stem extract（RASM）, highest total antioxidant capacity [（265.1 ± 0.9） μg/mL] in RAFM and highest reducing potential [（209.9 ± 0.6） μg/mL] in leaf extract（RALM）. Highest antihemolytic activity [（90.0 ± 0.5） μg/mL] was recorded in RAFM and brine shrimp cytotoxicity potential [（52.3 ± 0.3） μg/mL] in RASM. The antimicrobial activity was detected highest [（21.1 ± 0.5） mm inhibition zones] in RALM against Streptococcus aureus. In the end, antiinflammatory and anti-cancer activity results depicted less than 50 % inhibition in the methanolic extracts. Comprehensive analysis of glacier recession(2000-2020)in the Nun-Kun Group of Glaciers,Northwestern Himalaya

Himalayan glaciers are shrinking rapidly,especially after *** shrinkage,however,shows a differential pattern in space and time,emphasizing the need to monitor and assess glacier changes at a larger *** this study,changes of 48 glaciers situated around the twin peaks of the Nun and Kun mountains in the northwestern Himalaya,hereafter referred to as Nun-Kun Group of Glaciers(NKGG),were investigated using Landsat satellite data during *** in glacier area,snout position,Equilibrium Line Altitude(ELA),surface thickness and glacier velocity were assessed using remote sensing data supplemented by field *** study revealed that the NKGG glaciers have experienced a recession of 4.5%±3.4%and their snouts have retreated at the rate of 6.4±1.6 m·a^(-1).Additionally,there was a 41%increase observed in the debris cover area during the observation *** the geodetic approach,an average glacier elevation change of-1.4±0.4 m·a^(-1)was observed between 2000 and *** observed mass loss of the NKGG has resulted in the deceleration of glacier velocity from 27.0±3.7 m·a^(-1)in 2000 to 21.2±2.2 m·a^(-1)in *** ELA has shifted upwards by 83.0±22 m during the *** morphological and topographic factors showed a strong influence on glacier ***,a higher recession of 12.9%±3.2%was observed in small glaciers,compared to 2.7%±3.1%in larger *** debris-covered glaciers showed lower shrinkage(2.8%±1.1%)compared to the clean glaciers(9.3%±5%).The glacier depletion recorded in the NKGG during the last two decades,if continued,would severely diminish glacial volume and capacity to store water,thus jeopardizing the sustainability of water resources in the basin.

An efficient permutation approach for SbPN-based symmetric block ciphers

Electrochemical CO_(2)reduction is a sustainable approach in green chemistry that enables the production of valuable chemicals and fuels while mitigating the environmental impact associated with CO_(2)*** its several advantages,this technology suffers from an intrinsically low CO_(2)solubility in aqueous solutions,resulting in a lower local CO_(2)concentration near the electrode,which yields lower current densities and restricts product *** diffusion electrodes(GDEs),particularly those with tubular architectures,can solve these issues by increasing the local CO_(2)concentration and triple-phase interface,providing abundant electroactive sites to achieve superior reaction *** this study,robust and self-supported Cu flow-through gas diffusion electrodes(FTGDEs)were synthesized for efficient formate production via electrochemical CO_(2)*** were further compared with traditional Cu electrodes,and it was found that higher local CO_(2)concentration due to improved mass transfer,the abundant surface area available for the generation of the triple-phase interface,and the porous structure of Cu FTGDEs enabled high formate Faradaic efficiency(76%)and current density(265 mA¸cm^(−2))at–0.9 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE)in 0.5 mol·L^(−1)*** combined phase inversion and calcination process of the Cu FTGDEs helped maintain a stable operation for several *** catalytic performance of the Cu FTGDEs was further investigated in a non-gas diffusion configuration to demonstrate the impact of local gas concentration on the activity and performance of electrochemical CO_(2)*** study demonstrates the potential of flow-through gas-diffusion electrodes to enhance reaction kinetics for the highly efficient and selective reduction of CO_(2),offering promising applications in sustainable electrochemical processes.

Room and cryogenic deformation behavior of AZ61 and AZ61-xCaO(x=0.5,1 wt.%)alloy

This study investigates the influence of CaO(0.5,1(wt.%))alloying on the microstructural evolution,texture development and deformation behavior of AZ61 magnesium *** uniaxial tension tests at room(RT)and cryogenic(CT,-150℃)temperature were performed to investigate the twinability and dislocation behavior and its consequent effect on flow stress,ductility and strain hardening *** results showed that the AZ61-1CaO exhibited superior strength/ductility synergy at RT with a yield strength(YS)of 223 MPa and a ductility of 23% as compared to AZ61(178 MPa,18.5%)and AZ61-0.5CaO(198 MPa,21%).Similar trend was witnessed for all the samples during CT deformation,where increase in the YS and decrease in ductility were *** Mtex tools based in-grain misorientation axis(IGMA)analysis of RT deformed samples revealed the higher activities of prismatic slip in AZ61-CaO,which led to superior ***,subsequent EBSD analysis of CT deformed samples showed the increased fraction of fine{10-12}tension twins and nucleation of multiple{10-12}twin variants caused by higher local stress concentration at the grain boundaries,which imposed the strengthening by twin-twin ***,the detailed investigations on strengthening contributors showed that the dislocation strengthening has the highest contribution towards strength in all samples.

The nonlinear Schr?dinger equation equation is one of the most important physical models used in optical fiber theory to explain the transmission of an optical soliton. The field of chiral soliton propagation in nuclear physics is very interesting because of its numerous applications in communications and ultra-fast signal routing systems. The (1+1)-dimensional chiral dynamical structure that describes the soliton behaviour in data transmission is dealt with in this work using a variety of in-depth analytical techniques. This work has applications in particle physics, ionised science, nuclear physics, optics, and other applied mathematical sciences. We are able to develop a variety of solutions to demonstrate the behaviour of solitary wave structures, periodic soliton solutions, chiral soliton solutions, and bell-shaped soliton solutions with the use of applied techniques. Moreover, in order to verify the scientific calculations, the stability analysis for the observed solutions of the governing model is taken into consideration. In addition, the3-dimensional, contour, and 2-dimensional visuals are supplied for a better understanding of the behaviour of the solutions. The employed strategies are dependable, uncomplicated, and effective; yet have not been utilised with the governing model in the literature that is now accessible. The resulting outcomes have impressive applications across a large number of study areas and computational physics phenomena representing real-world scenarios. The methods applied in this model are not utilized on the given models in previous literature so we can say that these describe the novelty of the work.
