background Intestinal perforation and sometimes obstruction in neonates demand diverting stomas which are associated with fluid,electrolytes and nutrient *** establishment of gut continuity is the key to the best outcome,though primary anastomosis is not always *** aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Bishop Koop stoma in establishing early continuity of gut and confirming the function of distal *** Data of patients who underwent Bishop Koop conversion of diverting stoma from July 2016 to June 2018 were reviewed *** and outcome data were recorded and analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Science(SPSS)V.22 *** permission was taken from hospital ethical *** 29 patients were included(16 male and 13 female).Mean age of conversion was 5.8±2.5 months and mean weight was 4.9±*** bowel movement was established in 26 *** patient died of sepsis on sixth postoperative day and one had anastomotic *** was no significant difference with respect to outcome between perforation and obstruction *** Koop stomas were closed after 6 weeks of *** Bishop Koop conversion of temporary stoma was turned out as a good choice for these patients.

A suitable statistical model has been explored for the investors as well as the researchers to resolve the future estimation of share volume by using daily stock volume data from Dhaka Stock Exchange （DSE）. The daily volume data from the June 1, 2004 to April 19, 2010 were retrieved from DSE website as a secondary data source. The Maximum Likelihood---Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity （ARCH）（Marquardt） method has been applied to construct the models for the stock volume data of DSE by using statistical package software E-Views of verson-5. First of all, an ＂Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average （ARIMA） model＂ was fitted and observed that heteroscedastic volatilities were still present there. To eliminate this dilemma, ARCH class of volatility models has been used and finally the ARIMA with EGARCH model has been explored. Findings of this study have recognized that ARIMA with EGARCH model implies low mean square error, low mean absolute error, low bias proportion, and low variance proportion for share volume data with comparing to other models. Hence, the modelling concept established in this study would be a decisive study for the investors as well as the researchers.

In this paper, vector autoregressive （VAR） models have been recognized for the selected indicators of Dhaka stock exchange （DSE）. Bangladesh uses the micro economic variables, such as stock trade, invested stock capital, stock volume, current market value, and DSE general indexes which have the direct impact on DSE prices. The data were collected for the period from June 2004 to July 2013 as the basis on daily scale. But to get the maximum explorative information and reduction of volatility, the data have been transformed to the monthly scale. The outliers and extreme values of the study variables are detected through box and whisker plot. To detect the unit root property of the study variables, various unit root tests have been applied. The forecast performance of the different VAR models is compared to have the minimum residual. Moreover, the dynamics of this financial market is analyzed through Granger causality and impulse response analysis.

This paper examines the impact of the portfolios of Dhaka Stock Exchange （DSE） with corresponding to the selective macro and micro economic indicators of Bangladesh. The microeconomic indicators are Invested Market Capital （1MC）（US$） and the number of Total Enlisted Company （TEC） which have direct and immediate impact on the Stock Turnover Ratio （STR） of DSE and the macroeconomic indicators are Gross Domestic Product （GDP）, Gross National Income （GNI）, Gross Saving （GS）, Gross Inflation （GI）, Deposit Interest Rate （DIR）, and Gross Foreign Investment （GFI） which have indirect and long run impact on DSE portfolios. To investigate the direct impact on DSE＇s turnover ratio, the Cobb-Douglas production function is applied and to investigate the indirect and long run impact, multiple linear regression models are also applied. The estimated results are diagnosed using magnitudes of derivatives, gradient and Wald＇s coefficient restriction with respect to the macro and micro economic indicators.

This work reports the successful outcomes to process the polyester, acrylic and wool fiber along with jute fiber exclusively using existing jute processing machineries for manufacturing the 241 tex jute blended yarn. The blending was performed at feeding stage of breaker carding machine and blending ratio of jute and polyester/acrylic/wool fibers is 80:20. Manufacturing of jute blended yarns will create a new opportunity for extending the uses of jute fibers in value added jute products. The present work is concerned with the investigation of physical properties such as tenacity, elongation % at break, quality ratio, unevenness, imperfections (thick, thin & neps) and hairiness of manufactured jute blended yarns. The jute-polyester (80/20) blended yarn shows the higher strength and more evenness compared to jute-acrylic (80/20), jute-wool (80/20) blended and 100% jute yarn.

Background: Clinical presentation of intestinal tuberculosis is varied. It is also essential to know the clinical and demographic characteristics of incidentally detected intestinal tuberculosis patient. Objective: The purpose of the present study was to find out the clinic-demographic characteristics of intestinal tuberculosis in clinically and preoperatively unsuspected laparotomies. Methodology: This cross-sectional study was carried out in the Department of Surgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Dhaka from March 2002 to March 2004 for a period of two (2) years. All the patients underwent laparotomy presented without any suspicion of pulmonary or intestinal tuberculosis were included as study population. Patients who were without the history of cough, haemoptysis, antitubercular drug therapy were included. Per operative suspicion was raised due to enlarged lymph nodes in mesentery, omental masses, ileocaecal masses, suspicious growth in ileum, omental thickening, perforation suspected by tuberculosis. Biopsy was taken from suspicious lesions. Histopathology was confirmed the tubercular lesion. Results: A total number of 300 patients under laparotomy were recruited for this study of which 38 positive cases were found in the study with a percentage of 12.7%. Maximum affected age group was 21 to 30 years which was 16 (42%) cases. Male was predominant to female which was 28 (73.7%) cases and 10 (26.3%) cases respectively. Low socioeconomic people are affected more (76.3%). Most common presentation in positive cases was acute and sub-acute intestinal obstruction 20 (52.6%) followed by intestinal perforation (26.31%). Conclusion: In conclusion young age male patient is the most commonly affected intestinal tuberculosis which is frequently presented with sub-acute intestinal obstruction among the preoperatively unsuspected laparotomy patients.

Vagus nerve stimulation(VNS)and stroke:Stroke is the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability worldwide(Baig et al.,2023).There have been significant paradigm shifts in the management of acute ischemic stroke through mechanical *** chronic ischemic stroke,invasive VNS paired with rehabilitation is associated with a significant increase in upper limb motor recovery and is FDA-approved(Baig et al.,2023).There are no treatments of similar efficacy in acute intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH)where several promising trials,e.g.,TICH-2,STOP-AUST,and TRAIGE did not show improvements in functional outcomes(Puy et al.,2023).

Separator modification is an effective approach to suppress dendrite growth to realize high-energy sodium metal batteries（SMBs） in practical applications,however,its success is mainly subject to surface ***,a separator with multifunctional layers composed of N-doped mesoporous hollow carbon spheres（HCS） as the inner layer and sodium fluoride（NaF） as the outer layer on commercial polypropylene separator（PP） is proposed（PP@HCS-NaF） to achieve stable cycling in *** the molecular level,the inner HCS layer with a high content of pyrrolic-N induces the uniform Na+flux as a potential Na+redistributor for homogenous deposition,whereas its hollow mesoporous structure offers nanoporous buffers and ion channels to regulate Na+ion distribution and uniform *** outer layer（NaF） constructs the NaF-enriched robust solid electrolyte interphase layer,significantly lowering the Na+ions diffusion *** from these merits,higher electrochemical performances are achieved with multifunctional double-layered PP@HCS-NaF separators compared with single-layered separators（***@HCS or PP@NaF） in *** Na‖Cu half-cell with PP@HCS-NaF offers stable cycling（280 cycles）with a high CE（99.6%）,and Na‖Na symmetric cells demonstrate extended lifespans for over 6000 h at 1 mA cm-2with a progressively stable overpotential of 9 ***,in Na‖NVP full-cells,the PP@HCS-NaF separator grants a stable capacity of ～81 mA h g-1after 3500 cycles at 1 C and an impressive rate capability performance(～70 mA h g-1at 15 C).

Security and safety remain paramount concerns for both governments and individuals *** today’s context,the frequency of crimes and terrorist attacks is alarmingly increasing,becoming increasingly intolerable to ***,there is a pressing need for swift identification of potential threats to preemptively alert law enforcement and security forces,thereby preventing potential attacks or violent *** advancements in big data analytics and deep learning have significantly enhanced the capabilities of computer vision in object detection,particularly in identifying *** paper introduces a novel automatic firearm detection surveillance system,utilizing a one-stage detection approach named MARIE(Mechanism for Realtime Identification of Firearms).MARIE incorporates the Single Shot Multibox Detector(SSD)model,which has been specifically optimized to balance the speed-accuracy trade-off critical in firearm detection *** SSD model was further refined by integrating MobileNetV2 and InceptionV2 architectures for superior feature extraction *** experimental results demonstrate that this modified SSD configuration provides highly satisfactory performance,surpassing existing methods trained on the same dataset in terms of the critical speedaccuracy *** these innovations,MARIE sets a new standard in surveillance technology,offering a robust solution to enhance public safety effectively.
