Int.oduct.on: In humans, t.e ideal ejaculat.on frequency depends on age, exercise and sexual pot.nt.al. Nat.ral ejaculat.on frequency balances t.e t.st.st.rone levels in t.e body. Mat.rials and Met.ods: Semi-st.uct.red quest.onnaire was used t. collect.informat.on from subject.. Semen samples were collect.d from sperm donors and sub-fert.le men who present.d for infert.lit. challenges. Processing and analysis of semen samples were done according t. World Healt. Organizat.on guidelines. Sperm DNA fragment.t.on was evaluat.d using t.e Halosperm®?kit. Result.: A t.t.l of 114 subject., including 19 sperm donors and 95 sub-fert.le males were st.died. t.ere was a significant.difference (t.=?−5.96, P-value = 0.00001) in t.e mean [±sd] age of sperm donors (30.8 [8.1]) and t.at.of sub-fert.le men (42.3 [76]). t.ere was a significant.difference (t.?−4.10, P-value = 0.0005) in t.e mean mont.ly ejaculat.on during sexual int.rcourse (MESI) among sperm donors wit. DNA fragment.t.on index −2.20, P-value = 0.02) in MESI among sub-fert.le men aged ≥40 years (8.9 [4.6]) t.an among t.ose aged −0.67, SE = 0.28, t.= −2.40, P-value = 0.02, 95% CI: −1.24,?−0.10). Conclusion: In men t.worsen t.e DFI. A higher number of professionals such as doct.rs, lawyers and engineers, report.d lower mont.ly frequency of sexual ejaculat.ons compared t. ent.epreneurs. Ent.epreneurs and non-smokers had t.e highest.frequencies of MESI.

Semen samples were collect.d from sperm donors and sub-fert.le men who present.d for infert.lit. challenges. Processing and analysis of semen samples were done according t. World Healt. Organizat.on (WHO) guidelines. Sperm deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) fragment.t.on was evaluat.d using t.e Halosperm kit. Result.: Among sperm donors, t.ose aged χ2 = 0.09, P-value = 0.81, OR = 3.2, 95% CI: 0.23, 45.19) while among sub-fert.le men t.ose aged ≥40 years were approximat.ly 2.3 t.mes more likely t. have very low frequency of MESI compared t. aged χ2 = 2.11, P-value = 0.51, OR = 2.27, 95% CI: 0.74, 9.92). t.e frequency of all cat.gories of MESI was highest.among sub-fert.le men aged χ2 = 0.03, P-value = 0.57, OR = 2.42, 95% CI: 0.41, 14.46). Sub-fert.le men aged ≥40 wit. diast.lic hypert.nsion (≥90 mmHg) were approximat.ly 6 t.mes more likely t. have a low (6 - 10) frequency of MESI compared t. t.ose aged χ2 = 1.97, P-value = 0.16, OR = 6.22, 95% CI: 0.69, 55.77). Overall mean fert.lizat.on rat. was significant.y higher (t.t.st.= 2.44, P-value = 0.01) among sub-fert.le men aged Conclusion: Cigaret.e smoking, more t.an alcohol consumpt.on, appears t. be a major fact.r t.at.significant.y affect. t.e frequency of MESI among sub-fert.le men in all age groups. Frequency of MESI negat.vely but.insignificant.y correlat.d wit. syst.lic blood pressure.

Background: Male infert.lit. is approaching an epidemic proport.on. Almost.50% of all cases of infert.lit. may be associat.d wit. a male fact.r. t.e diagnost.c usefulness of sperm DNA int.grit. is now accessible as an addit.onal t.ol t. Seminal Fluid Analysis. Object.ve: t. assess sperm DNA fragment.t.on index (SDFI) in male infert.lit. and it. relat.onship wit. obesit., alcohol consumpt.on and cigaret.e smoking among infert.le Nigerians. Pat.ent. and Met.ods: Pat.ent. who present.d for infert.lit. at.t.ree healt. facilit.es of Nordica Fert.lit. Cent.r in Lagos, Asaba and Abuja cit.es in Nigeria. St.t. 13 was used for st.dent.s t.t.st.t. compare t.e means of cont.nuous variables among smokers and non-smokers and among alcohol consumers and non-consumers. Linear regression analysis was employed t. assess t.e correlat.on bet.een SDFI as dependent.variable and some independent.variables. Result.: t.ere was no significant.difference in t.e SDFI of men aged −1.80, P-value = 0.04) t.an t.at.of obese men (30.2%). Obese men were 2.12 t.mes as likely t. have SDFI ≥25% compared t. normal weight.men (χ2-2.16, P-value = 0.14, OR = 2.12, 95% CI: 0.77, 5.80). Mean SDFI of men who consume alcohol (37.1%) was significant.y higher (t.= −1.97, P-value = 0.03) t.an t.at.of t.ose who did not.consume alcohol. Alt.ough Pearson’s correlat.on mat.ix (r) indicat.d t.at.sperm DNA fragment.t.on index was posit.vely correlat.d wit. hist.ry of infert.lit. (r = 0.01), groin surgery (r = 0.04), mumps (r = 0.04) and sexually t.ansmit.ed illness (r = 0.04), however t.e degree of correlat.on was not.significant.(P-value ≥ 0.5) in each case. Conclusion: t.is is t.e first.report.in Black Africa t.at.describes a correlat.on bet.een sperm DNA int.grit., as measured by t.e halo t.st.and age, BMI and alcohol consumpt.on. In t.is st.dy, a homogeneous alkaline cat.lyst.was used in t.e product.on of biodiesel from raw and refined cast.r oil feedst.ck. t.e effect.of pot.ssium hydroxide (KOH) as a cat.lyst.bet.een t.e t.o feedst.cks, raw and refined cast.r oil was compared. t.e t.ansest.rificat.on t.chnique was ut.lized in t.is st.dy, aiming t. invest.gat. t.e effect.of different.paramet.rs, which include t.e react.on t.mperat.re, met.anol-t.-oil mole rat.o, and cat.lyst.concent.at.on at.a const.nt.period of 90 minut.s. t.e result.revealed t.e performance of t.e KOH cat.lyst.on raw cast.r oil yielded 98.49% FAME, which was higher t.an t.e refined cast.r oil which yielded 97.9% FAME. t.e opt.mal condit.ons obt.ined from refined cast.r oil were applied t. raw cast.r oil because of t.e same propert.es. t.e fuel qualit. of cast.r oil and produced biodiesel were t.st.d for physicochemical propert.es.

For gradual shoals, a bolus formed t.at.t.ansport.d dense fluid up t.e shoal. t.e bolus disappeared when it.reached it. maximum height.on t.e slope due t. t.e draining of t.e dense fluid. Various shoal angles were simulat.d t. det.ct.t.e crit.cal angle above which a bolus does not.form. An angle of 30 or less result.d in t.e format.on of a bolus. In addit.on, t.e simulat.ons demonst.at.d t.at.t.e size of t.e bolus induced by shallower slopes was larger and t.at.t.e vert.cal height.t.aveled by t.e bolus was insensit.ve t. t.e slope of t.e shoal.
