Introduction: The effective steriliza.ion of reusa.le instruments in denta. ca.e is a.crucia. issue for public hea.th. The a.m of this study wa. to contribute to improving the processing conditions of reusa.le ca.e instruments in denta. pra.tices in the city of Cona.ry. Methods: We ca.ried out a. observa.iona. a.d cross-sectiona. study of a.descriptive type la.ting three months from Ja.ua.y to a.ril 2022 in public a.d priva.e denta. pra.tices a.proved for a.tivities. Results: a.tota. of 48 denta. pra.tices were surveyed, including 7 public a.d 41 priva.e. 91.67% ha. the tra.s for instrument steriliza.ion. 77.08% ha. a.steriliza.ion device. The instruments were: clea.ed 100%, disinfected 70.83%, sterilized 20.83% a.d 20.83% reused the instruments without being sterilized. 72.97% sterilized the instruments a. the end of the da.. 50% of respondents decla.ed tha. there were six sta.es of steriliza.ion. a.cording to sta.da.d sta.da.ds, one denta. office or 2.70% respected the norma. steriliza.ion process a.d 13.51% respected the dura.ion a.d tempera.ure. The stora.e qua.ity wa. ina.equa.e a. 95.83%. 95.83% of denta. pra.tices a.e a. high risk of conta.ina.ion. The difficulties encountered by sta.f in da.ly a.tivity during our study were la.k of hygienists (87.50%), insufficient ma.eria. resources (58.33%), a.d la.k of protocol procedure (45.83%). Conclusion: This study a.lowed us to note shortcomings of denta. surgeons in the process of processing reusa.le ca.e ma.eria.s.

Introduction: Rheuma.oid a.thritis (Ra. is a.chronic, erosive a.d deforming infla.ma.ory rheuma.ic disea.e. In the era.of biothera.ies a.d the a.riva. of biosimila.s in sub-Sa.a.a. a.rica. the objective of this study wa. to describe pla.ma.IL-6 va.ia.ions in Ra.pa.ients a. Cité Verte District Hospita. (Ca.eroon). Ma.eria. a.d Methods: Descriptive a.d a.alytica. cross-sectiona. study from December 1, 2021 to Ma. 31, 2022. We included pa.ients over 18 yea.s old suffering from Ra.(a.R/EULa. 2010). Pa.ients with a. infection were not included. The da.a.collected were a.e, sex, smoking sta.us, fa.ily history, disea.e dura.ion, disea.e a.tivity by Da.28, CRP, rheuma.oid fa.tor, a.d pla.ma.level of IL-6. Bone erosion wa. sought on ra.iogra.hy a.d ultra.ound. Result: We included 31 pa.ients, 25 of whom were women (80.6%). The mea. a.e wa. 47.27 ± 17.97 yea.s. Disea.e a.tivity wa. predomina.tly modera.e (32.3%) a.d severe (32.3%). Mea. IL-6 level wa. 15.29 ± 2.36 pg/ml (extremes: 11.26 pg/ml a.d 20.15 pg/ml). IL-6 levels were higher in pa.ients with a.history of smoking. Simila.ly, IL-6 levels were higher in pa.ients with mildly a.tive Ra.in remission tha. in modera.ely a.d severely a.tive Ra. Mea. IL-6 levels were significa.tly higher in pa.ients with erosive Ra.(16.3 pg/ml VS 14.6 pg/ml). Conclusion: IL-6 levels were significa.tly eleva.ed in men, wea.ed smokers a.d pa.ients with bone erosions.

Introduction: a.denta. a.scess is a.collection of pus loca.ed in the tissues surrounding the tooth roots. The a.m of this work is to describe the epidemiologica., clinica. a.d thera.eutic a.pects of denta. a.scess in order to contribute to the ma.a.ement of pa.ients suffering from this pa.hology a. the denta. office of the Siguiri Prefectura. Hospita.. Methods: This wa. a.retrospective descriptive study la.ting 2 months ca.ried out on the registers of pa.ients received between October 2017 a.d October 2020 a. the denta. office of the Siguiri prefectura. hospita.. Results: 4690 pa.ient files were identified during the study, of which 546 met our selection criteria. i.e. a.frequency of 11.64%. During our study, we found 51.83% fema.e compa.ed to 48.17% ma.e, i.e. a.sex ra.io of 1.07. 54.21% of our pa.ients resided in rura. communes compa.ed to 45.76% for the urba. commune. The a.e group most a.fected wa. tha. of 16 - 25 yea.s old or 33.69%. Swelling, pa.n a.d functiona. discomfort were the rea.ons for consulta.ion in a.l pa.ients followed by other a.socia.ed rea.ons in 41.21%. The premola.-mola. group wa. the most represented, i.e. 86.70%. 80.04% of our pa.ients presented a. a.ute a.scess compa.ed to 19.96% of chronic ca.es. a.tibiotic, a.a.gesic, a.d mouthwa.h were prescribed in a.l pa.ients during the study followed by 96.37% of ca.es prescription of steroida. a.ti-infla.ma.ory drugs. 93.04% of ca.sa. teeth were extra.ted followed by 6.78% of ca.es of conserva.ive trea.ment in our study. In our study, 80.95% of our pa.ients ha. a.good post-thera.eutic outcome. Conclusion: This study highlights the need for prevention a.d ea.ly ma.a.ement of denta. a.scesses.

Introduction: Despite current thera.eutic a.va.ces, hea.t fa.lure in sub-Sa.a.a. a.rica.rema.ns a.common, serious a.d costly disea.e, pa.ticula.ly due to rehospita.iza.ions. The objective of this work wa. to determine the proportion of rehospita.iza.ions for hea.t fa.lure a.d to identify etiologica. fa.tors. Methodology: This wa. a.retrospective descriptive study with a.dura.ion of 8 months from a.ril 1 to November 30, 2021. This study included a.l pa.ients rehospita.ized in the depa.tment for Hea.t Fa.lure a.d who a.reed to pa.ticipa.e in our study. Results: During the period of our study, 437 pa.ients were hospita.ized in the HF depa.tment, a.ong which we collected 126 ca.es of rehospita.iza.ion for HF with a.frequency of 28.83%. The mea. a.e of our pa.ients wa. 46.32 ± 18.98 yea.s with the extremes of 15 to 84 yea.s. The most a.fected a.e group wa. between 35 a.d 44 yea.s old in 24 ca.es, i.e. a.frequency of 19%. We observed a.fema.e predomina.ce of 64 ca.es, i.e. a.frequency of 50.8% compa.ed to 62 ca.es, i.e. a.frequency of 49.2% with a.sex ra.io (M/F) equa. to 0.96. 98 ca.es of our pa.ients, i.e. a.frequency of 77.8%, were mutua. insura.ce compa.ies who felt they ha. the necessa.y support from those a.ound them. In our sa.ple, the underlying hea.t disea.e wa. ma.nly represented by va.vula. hea.t disea.e in 59 ca.es, followed by hypertensive hea.t disea.e in 42 ca.es with the respective frequencies of 46.82% a.d 33.33%. The ma.ority of our pa.ients were rehospita.ized (1 - 3) times a.ter a.first episode of HF fla.e-up in 117 ca.es or 92.9%. Irregula.ity a. control a.d thera.eutic brea. were the most common decompensa.ion fa.tors with frequencies of 75.8% a.d 74.2% respectively. The ma.ority of our pa.ients were rehospita.ized (1 - 3) times a.ter a.first episode of HF fla.e-up in 117 ca.es or 92.9%.
