The term bezoar refers to an intraluminal mass in the gastrointestinal system caused by the accumulation of indigestible ingested materials, such as vegetables, fruits, and hair. Bezoars are responsible for 0.4%-4% of cases of mechanical intestinal obstruction. The clinical findings of bezoar-induced ileus do not differ from those of mechanical intestinal obstruction due to other causes. The appearance and localization of bezoars can be established with various imaging methods. Treatment of choice depends on the localization of the bezoar which makes the clinical findings.

Engine tests are both costly and time consuming in developing a new internal combustion ***,it is of great importance to predict engine characteristics with high accuracy using artificial ***,it is possible to reduce engine testing costs and speed up the engine development *** Learning is an effective artificial intelligence method that shows high performance in many research areas through its ability to learn high-level hidden features in data *** present paper describes a method to predict the cylinder pressure of a Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition(HCCI)engine for various excess air coefficients by using Deep Neural Network,which is one of the Deep Learning methods and is based on the Artificial Neural Network(ANN).The Deep Learning results were compared with the ANN and experimental *** results show that the difference between experimental and the Deep Neural Network(DNN)results were less than 1%.The best results were obtained by Deep Learning *** cylinder pressure was predicted with a maximum accuracy of 97.83%of the experimental value by using *** the other hand,the accuracy value was increased up to 99.84%using *** results show that the DNN method can be used effectively to predict cylinder pressures of internal combustion engines.

Soil quality determination and estimation is an important issue not only for terrestrial ecosystems but also for sustainable management of *** this study,soil quality was determined by linear and nonlinear standard scoring function methods integrated with a neutrosophic fuzzy analytic hierarchy process in the micro *** addition,soil quality values were estimated using a support vector machine(SVM)in machine learning *** order to generate spatial distribution maps of soil quality indice values,different interpolation methods were evaluated to detect the most suitable semivariogram *** the soil quality index values obtained by the linear method were determined between 0.458-0.717,the soil quality index with the nonlinear method showed variability at the levels of *** was no statistical difference between the two methods,and they were determined to be *** the estimation of soil quality with SVM,the normalized root means square error(NRMSE)values obtained in the linear and nonlinear method estimation were determined as 0.057 and 0.047,*** spherical model of simple kriging was determined as the interpolation method with the lowest RMSE value in the actual and predicted values of the linear method while,in the nonlinear method,the lowest error in the distribution maps was determined with exponential of the simple kriging.

BACKGROUND:Mechanical lithotripsy and/or stent insertion is the alternative therapeutic approach in difficult endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)*** study was designed to investigate the appropriate treatment for extraction of bile duct stones in difficult cases of ERCP. METHODS:Between 2000 and 2008,744 ERCP procedures were performed in 592 patients with choledocholithiasis in our endoscopy *** demographic features,and clinical and laboratory findings were collected from a prospectively held *** duct calculi were extracted by basket and/or balloon catheter following ERCP and *** with retained stones were regarded as difficult *** patients were treated with mechanical lithotripsy and those with incomplete clearance of stones underwent stent placement. RESULTS:Two hundred and forty-five patients(41%) were male and 347(59%)were female with a mean age of 58 years(range 19-95 years).Stones were impacted in 27 patients(5%).Stone extraction was performed by basket and/or balloon catheter in 610 ERCP procedures,and lithotripsy was performed in 70 ERCP ***- four patients underwent stent insertion,and 20 underwent stent *** occurred in 39 patients (5%),with no mortality associated with the *** occurred in 9 patients and basket impaction in *** pancreatitis and cholangitis developed in 12 and 11 patients,respectively. CONCLUSION:Difficult cases of bile duct stones can be treated successfully with lithotripsy,and a stent should be applied when the common bile duct cannot be cleared completely.

Changes in Calcareous Nannofossil Assemblages and Paleoenvironmental Interpretation of the Early Miocene Lice Formation, Kahramanmara? Basin, Turkey, East Mediterranean

This study investigated the calcareous nannofossil assemblages in detail from the early Miocene aged Lice Formation outcropping in the Kahramanmara? basin. The biostratigraphy of calcareous nannofossils was outlined and paleoenvironmental features determined. In 81 samples taken from three measured sections in the region, 17 calcareous nannofossil genus and 48 nannofossil species were identified. These calcareous nannofossil genus and species identified the Lice Formation as being in the CNM4 nannofossil biozone. The abundance and diversity of early Miocene calcareous nannofossil species varied in the measured sections, with the samples generally moderate-poor, apart from a few samples. The relative abundance of individuals of Cyclicargolithus floridanus, Coccolithus pelagicus, Reticulofenestra hagii and Sphenolithus moriformis species, with paleoecological importance identified in the study region, indicate that in early Miocene times, the basin in which the Lice Formation deposited was meso-eutrophic with excess nutrient input, temperate and generally stable shallow marine conditions.

Beneficiation of the gold bearing ore by gravity and flotation

Gold concentration usually consists of gravity separation, flotation, cyanidation, or the combination of these processes. The choice among these processes depends on the mineralogical characterization and gold content of the ore. Recently, the recovery of gold using gravity methods has gained attention because of low cost and environmentally friendly operations. In this study, gold pre-concentrates were produced by the stepwise gravity separation and flotation techniques. The Knelson concentrator and conventional flotation were employed for the recovery of gold. Gold bearing ore samples were taken from Gümüshane Region, northern east part of Turkey. As a result of stepwise Knelson concentration experiments, a gold concentrate assaying around 620 g/t is produced with 41.4wt% recovery. On the other hand, a gold concentrate about 82 g/t is obtained with 89.9wt% recovery from a gold ore assaying 6 g/t Au by direct flotation.

Frailty significantly impairs the short term prognosis in elderly patients with heart failure

Background Frailty is a condition of elderly characterized by increased vulnerability to stressful events with high risk of adverse outcomes. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the association between frailty and adverse outcomes including death and hospitalization due to heart failure in elderly patients. Methods We included patients aged ≥ 65 years with the diagnosis of heart failure. The clinical and laboratory data, echocardiography and ECGs were recorded. Additionally, the frailty scores of the patients were evaluated according to Canadian Study of Health and Aging. All the patients were divided as frail or non-frail. The groups were compared for their characteristics and the occurrence of clinical outcomes. Results We included 86 eligible patients. The median follow-up time was four months. The mean age was 75 ± 6.5 years. Of these 86 patients, 17 (19.7%) patients encountered an event (death and/or hospitalization). Nine patients (10.4%) died during follow-up. Thirty patients (34.9%) were considered frail. Among the demographic, clinical and laboratory data, only total protein and albumin levels were found to be lower in frail patients (total protein level: 6.8 ± 0.6 g/dL in non-frails, 6.5 ± 0.9 g/dL in frails, P = 0.05;albumin level: 3.8 ± 0.4 g/dL in non-frails, 3.4 ± 0.6 g/dL in frails, P = 0.001). In multivariate analysis, frailty was found to be strongly associated with clinical outcomes in short term. Conclusions Being frail in an elderly heart failure patient is associated with death and/or hospitalization due to heart failure in short term. Therefore, frailty score should be evaluated for all elderly heart failure patients as a prognostic marker.

In this study, effective atomic numbers(Zeff) of materials determined at different experimental conditions by measuring the elastic-to-inelastic γ-ray scattering ratios are compared to ZXCOM predictions. It also presents the experimental data obtained via the transmission technique The agreement and disagreement between ZXCOM and experimental values are investigated. The theoretical basics of determining Zeffby scattering mode are outlined. The study shows that choosing appropriate experimental conditions can provide a good compatibility between the experimental results and theoretical ZXCOM

Effect of intracorneal ring segment implantation on corneal asphericity

AIM： To evaluate the visual, refractive and corneal asphericity changes after intrastromal corneal ring segment（ICRS） implantation for visual rehabilitation of ***： A total of 42 eyes of 32 patients were included. After creation of intrastromal tunnels of 5.01±0.03 mm inner diameter, 5.71±0.03 mm outer diameter and at 384.21±34.12 μm depth, 1 or 2 ICRS of 150-300 μm thickness and 90°-210° arc length were implanted. Changes in uncorrected distance visual acuity（UDVA）, corrected distance visual acuity（CDVA）, refractive errors, mean simulated keratometry readings SimK_（avg）, anterior and posterior corneal asphericity values（Q_（ant） and Q_（post）, respectively） measured with Scheimpflug topography were evaluated retrospectively. RESULTS： There was a significant improvement in UDVA and CDVA, along with a significant decrease in refractive spherical equivalent（SE）, cylinder and SimK_（avg） postoperatively（P〈0.001 for all）. Mean Qant increased from-1.06±0.48 to-0.57±0.58 postoperatively（P〈0.001）. Change in mean Qpost was insignificant（P=0.92）. Postoperative changes in UDVA and CDVA were not correlated with the postoperative changes in SE and cylinder（P〉0.05 for all）; but were correlated with the preoperative SimK_（avg） and Q_（ant） values（P〈0.001 for all）. CONCLUSION： ICRS implantation seems to approximate the anterior corneal asphericity of ＂advanced prolate＂ shape to ＂optimal prolate＂ shape and an ＂ideal Q value＂ of-0.46; which may have a role in improved UDVA and CDVA postoperatively, besides decreased refractive cylinder values.
