Non-invasive potato defects detection has been demanded for sorting and grading *** on the classification of the defects has been available,however,investigation on the severity level calculation is *** the detection of the common scab,it has been found that imaging in the infrared region provide an interesting characteristic that could distinguish defected area to normal ***,investigations on this wavelength range is interesting to add more knowledge and for *** this research,the multispectral image has been obtained and investigated especially at three wavelengths(950,1150,1600 nm).Image pre-processing and pseudo-color conversion techniques were explored to enhance the contrast between defects,normal background skin area and soil *** show that external defects,such as common scab and some mechanical damage types,appear brighter in the near infrared region,especially at 1600 nm against the normal skin *** has been found that pseudo-color images conversion provides more information regarding type if surface characteristics compared to grayscale single *** segmentation using pseudo-color images after multiplication operation pre-processing could be used for common scab and mechanical damage detection excluding soil deposits with a Dice Sorensen coefficient of *** addition,image segmentation using single image at 1600 nm shown relatively better results with Dice Sorensen coefficient of 0.72 with note that thick soil deposits will also be *** severity level evaluation had an R2 correlation of 0.84 against standard measurements of severity.

BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(***)eradication treatment for primary gastric mucosaassociated lymphoid tissue(MALT)lymphoma has already been ***,t(11;18)(q21;q21)/API2-MALT1 translocation-positive lesions are a type of primary gastric MALT lymphoma in which a response to eradication treatment is difficult to *** addition,trisomy 18 may be associated with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)transformation of gastric MALT *** SUMMARY A 66-year-old man was diagnosed with MALT lymphoma in the ascending colon by colonoscopy and *** years later,esophagogastroduodenoscopy revealed chronic atrophic gastritis that was positive for ***,and eradication treatment was *** years and nine months later(at the age of 70),a new ulcerative lesion suggestive of MALT lymphoma appeared in the gastric body,and six months later,a similar lesion was also found in the *** year later(4 years and 3 months after *** eradication),at the age of 72,the lesion in the gastric body had become deeper and had propagated.A biopsy revealed a pathological diagnosis of *** MALT lymphoma lesions in the ascending colon and DLBCL lesions in the stomach were positive for the t(11;18)(q21;q21)/API2-MALT1 translocation,and trisomy 18q21 was also *** 6 courses of R-CHOP(rituximab,cyclophosphamide,doxorubicin,vincristine and prednisone)chemotherapy,all of the above lesions disappeared[complete remission(CR)],and CR has been maintained for more than 3 *** addition,both the colonic and gastric lesions were proven to have the same *** Because the patient had a MALT1 translocation with trisomy 18q21,it was thought that this gastric MALT lymphoma developed independently of *** infection and progressed.

Background: Ectopic pregnancy is a major cause of maternal morbidity and mortality, estimated to occur in 1% - 2% of pregnancies worldwide. This condition also has an adverse effect on the fertility prospects of women who experience it. Objective: To determine the outcomes of subsequent spontaneous fertility after medical treatment of patients with methotrexate (MTX) in patients with ectopic pregnancy at two university teaching hospitals of Yaounde. Methodology: We carried out a cross-sectional study with retrospective data collection in two university teaching hospitals of Yaounde during a six years period from 1st January 2015 to 31st May 2021. Seventy records of patients who had medical treatment for ectopic pregnancy were included in this study. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS. 23. The Chi-2 statistical test was used to compare qualitative variables. Binary logistic regression method was performed to identify independent risk factors associated with infertility after medical treatment of tubal ectopic pregnancy (TEP). The significance level was set at 0.05. Results: The mean age in our study population was 27.8 ± 3.8 years. According to the past medical history, 52.9% had a pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and the most frequently germ found was C. trachomatis (47.1%). Almost 15% of our study population had previous surgery for EP. The median Fernandez score was 11 with a minimum score of 4 and a maximum score of 13. The route of administration of methotrexate was intramuscular in all our patients, and the single-dose protocol was used most frequently (58.6%). After medical treatment of the EP, we found a spontaneous conception rate of 58.6%. After multivariate analysis, we were unable to confirm that there was an association between a history of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and fertility prognosis. Viral hepatitis represents a major danger to public health,and is a globally leading cause of *** five liver-specific viruses:Hepatitis A virus,hepatitis B virus,hepatitis C virus,hepatitis D virus,and hepatitis E virus,each have their own unique epidemiology,structural biology,transmission,endemic patterns,risk of liver complications,and response to antiviral *** remain few options for treatment,in spite of the increasing prevalence of viral-hepatitiscaused liver ***,chronic viral hepatitis is a leading worldwide cause of both liver-related morbidity and mortality,even though effective treatments are available that could reduce or prevent most patients’*** 2016,the World Health Organization released its plan to eliminate viral hepatitis as a public health threat by the year 2030,along with a discussion of current gaps and prospects for both regional and global eradication of viral ***,treatment is sufficiently able to prevent the disease from reaching advanced ***,future therapies must be extremely safe,and should ideally limit the period of treatment necessary.A better understanding of pathogenesis will prove beneficial in the development of potential treatment strategies targeting infections by viral *** review aims to summarize the current state of knowledge on each type of viral hepatitis,together with major innovations.

The accumulation of growth-promoting antibiotic residues in animal products and the resistance developed by bacteria in poultry farms has led to a search for natural compounds derived from plants. This study was designed to promote the production performance of broiler chickens using fresh Cupressus sempervirens leaves infusion. Fresh Cupressus sempervirens leaves were harvested, washed, chopped and ground to a paste using a blender and fermented for three days in a closed container at a rate of 500 g/L of water. The solution obtained was filtered and added at the rate of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 ml/L of drinking water. The chickens fed on the graded level of the solution were compared to a control ration without an additive and positive control group supplemented with 1 g antibiotic/kg feed. At the finisher phase and throughout the study period, water intake increased significantly (P 0.05) affected by the inclusion of Cupressus sempervirens infusion. Haematological parameters significantly (P < 0.05) increase independently of the rate of incorporation of the infusion into the drinking water, with the exception of RBCs, MCHT and PCT. Serum content in total protein, globulins, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides were significantly (P < 0.05) high with 8 and 10 ml Cupressus sempervirens infusion/litre drinking water as compared to all other treatments. AST, ALT, urea, creatine, albumin, total cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol were not significantly affected. The lactic acid bacteria load increased significantly (P E. coli and salmonella counts decreased significantly (P < 0.05)

Tight focusing with very small f-numbers is necessary to achieve the highest at-focus ***,tight focusing imposes strong demands on precise target positioning in-focus to achieve the highest on-target irradiance We describe several near-infrared,visible,ultraviolet and soft and hard X-ray diagnostics employed in a~10^(22)W/cm^(2)laser±plasma *** used nearly 10 J total energy femtosecond laser pulses focused into an approximately1.3-μm focal spot on 5±20μm thick stainless-steel *** discuss the applicability of these diagnostics to determine the best in-focus target position with approximately 5μm accuracy(i.e.,around half of the short Rayleigh length)and show that several diagnostics(in particular,3ωreflection and on-axis hard X-rays)can ensure this *** demonstrated target positioning within several micrometers from the focus,ensuring over 80%of the ideal peak laser intensity *** approach is relatively fast(it requires 10±20 laser shots)and does not rely on the coincidence of low-power and high-power focal planes.

Multiple sclerosis(MS) is a chronic inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system.A certain population of patients with MS present with a relapse-remitting disease course(RRMS) during the early phase and eventually advance to a progressive course(PMS).While immune modulation therapies have recently seen tremendous success in RRMS,our limited knowledge of pathogenesis hampers the development of effective treatments for PMS.

It has been reported that the serum level of vitamin D3(Vit D3) could affect the natural course of chronic hepatitis C(CH-C) and the response to treatment with pegylated interferon(Peg-IFN) and ribavirin. Although several mechanisms for the favorable effects of Vit D3 supplementation were reported, the total effect of Vit D3 supplementation remains unclear. Previously, we reported that supplementation with 1(OH)Vit D3 could enhance the Th1 response inducing not only a favorable immune response for viral eradication but also HCC control. Recently, the main treatment of CH-C should be direct acting antivirals(DAAs) without PegIFN. Peg-IFN is a strong immune-modulator. Therefore, an immunological analysis should be carried out to understand the effect of Vit D3 after treatment of DAAs without Peg-IFN. The induction of a favorable immune response by adding Vit D3 might be able to suppress the hepatocarcinogenesis after achieving SVR, especially in children and elderly patients with severe fibrosis lacking sufficient amounts of VitD 3.
