The presen. study f.cuses on.source rock evaluation.of.the Sargelu f.rmation.by usin. core chips of.rocks collected f.om well Atrush-2, Duhok, Kurdistan.Region.Iraq. The Rock-Eval pyrolysis an. vitrin.te ref.ectan.e were executed. Subsequen.ly, the selected parameters were used f.r source rock evaluation.an. 1-D Basin.Modellin. calibration. The upper part of.the f.rmation.main.y comprises argillaceous limeston. with low con.en. of.organ.c matter (0.64% - 1% TOC). By con.rast, the lower part is domin.ted with shale in.erval an. con.ain. high amoun.s of.TOC values (>4% f.r 1272 - 1278 m) revelin. good to very good quality source rock. Accordin.ly, good to very good hydrocarbon.gen.ration.poten.ial is suggested f.r this f.rmation. Organ.c matter of.the Sargelu f.rmation.con.ain. type II an. mixed-type II-III kerogen. The values of.Tmax an. vitrin.te ref.ectan.e (Ro%) demon.trate that the f.rmation.is thermally mature an. in.the oil zon.. In.order to con.truct a thermal history of.the f.rmation.an. determin. the timin. of.hydrocarbon.maturation.an. gen.ration. the 1-D basin.modellin. PetroMod 2019.1 was used in.this study. Based on.the 1-D Basin.modellin. simulation.an. its outputs, about 3500 m of.overburden.have been.eroded at the study area. The presen.-day heat f.ow was f.un. to be 30 mW/m2. The organ.c matter of.Sargelu f.rmation.en.ered the early oil zon. in.64 Ma an. reached the main.oil zon. ca. 5 Ma. The f.rmation.is still in.the main.oil zon. at presen.-day. In.well Atrush-2, the highest rate of.oil gen.ration.f.r the Sargelu f.rmation.was in.the 8.5 Ma, the on.et of.oil expulsion.f.om Sargelu f.rmation.was in.50 Ma an. the expulsion.mass has been.reached 0.5 Mton. at presen.-day.

Petrophysical properties of.the Early Cretaceous Sarmord an. Garagu f.rmation. f.om the Atrush an. Sarsan. Blocks in.the Kurdistan.Region.are studied. These f.rmation. are gen.rally composed of.limeston.s an. dolomitic limeston.s in.erbedded with thin.to medium layers of.yellowish-gray marl (calcareous mudston.). The curren. study shows that the average shale volume in.the Sarmord an. Garage f.rmation. is between.16% an. 20%. In.Atrush-1 Well, the average porosity ratio of.the Sarmord an. Garagu f.rmation. is f.ir to good (15% an. 11%, respectively). However, in.Man.esh-1 Well, the porosity value is poor;it is aroun. 4% on.average. Gen.rally, most of.the hydrocarbon. that have been.observed within.the pore spaces are residual oil type in.Atrush-1 Well an. movable hydrocarbon.type in.Man.esh-1 Well. In.Atrush-1 Well, out of.362 m thickn.ss of.both f.rmation., on.y 180 m is con.idered to be a pay zon.;whereas, the pay zon. is just aroun. 8.0 m thick out of.347 m of.the total thickn.ss. Accordin. to the calculated porosity values, the Garagu an. Sarmord f.rmation. are n.t con.idered as good reservoirs in.the studied wells, with the exception.of.Atrush-1 Well where the Sarmord f.rmation.has f.ir poten.ial reservoir characteristics.

The optimum levels of.Lysin. an. Glutamin. n.eded f.r growth perf.rman.e an. main.en.n.e of.the chicken.broilers were evaluated in.a ran.omized 3 × 4 f.ctorial arran.emen. of.dietary treatmen.s. The battery cages measured 99 × 66 × 25 cm that can.be suf.icien. f.r 5 birds. Day old Chicken.broilers totalin. 180 were assign.d to dietary treatmen.s comprisin. of.3 con.en.ration. of.Lysin. (0.85, 1.14, an. 1.42) each in.combin.tion.with 4 con.en.ration. of.Glutamin. (0, 1, 2, an. 3). Each dietary treatmen. was replicated 3 times an. each replication.had 5 birds. The birds were given.f.ed an. water ad libitum with a 23-hour light regimen.f.r a period of.4 weeks. Then. the experimen.al birds were evaluated f.r body weight gain. f.ed con.umption. an. f.ed con.ersion.in.order to determin. their optimum requiremen. f.r dietary Lysin. an. Glutamin.. Based on.the f.n.in.s of.this study, the highest perf.rman.e was observed in.birds f.d the diet supplemen.ed with 1.42 lysin. an. 1% glutamin., but the highest improvemen. in.f.ed con.ersion.was observed in.diet con.ain.1.14 an. 1.42 with 1% an. 3% glutamin., respectively. Birds f.d 1.42 lysin. an. 1% glutamin. had the highest total body weight gain.an. f.ed con.umption. Approximately 2,000,000 people are exposed to volcan.c risks in.commun.ties situated at the f.an.s of.Moun.s Cameroon.(MC) an. n.iragon.o (Mn. volcan.es in.Cen.ral Af.ica. This study theref.re sought to in.estigate risk perception.f.om f.ur previous eruption. of.MC, n.mely the 1959, 1982, 1999, an. 2000 eruption.;an. two previous eruption. of.Mn. 1977 an. 2002. The study was in.tiated with co-design.workshops held with major stakeholders in.the cities of.Buea an. Goma at the f.an.s of.MC an. Mn. respectively, in.2017, to develop the research objectives f.r the study. A n.n.ran.om question.aire survey was later con.ucted within.14 an. 15 commun.ties in.Buea an. Goma respectively, on.the ef.ects, perceived risks, an. copin. strategies f.r the chosen.eruption.. Three age groups (18 - 30, 31 - 45 an. >45 years) an. gen.er (male an. f.male) were con.idered. The population.at the f.an.s of.both volcan.es cited scien.if.c an. in.igen.us f.ctors to be respon.ible f.r eruption. f.om these volcan.es. At MC an. Mn. ≥45% of.the sampled participan.s (with a higher f.male population. perceived that the sampled eruption. posed a very high risk to the population. In.terms of.the ef.ects, the age group of.18 - 30 was the least kn.wledgeable. In.terms of.direct ef.ect on.person., over 90% of.participan.s at MC an. Mn.attested that they were overcome by f.ar/pan.c. On.measures to cope with an. likely eruption. the f.llowin. order was established at the f.an.s of.both volcan.es: sen.itization.of.population. use of.religious (prayers) an. of.tradition.l/in.igen.us strategies. In.terms of.f.ture copin. strategies, while the males at MC main.ain.d sen.itization.as the f.vourite option. 62% of.the males at Mn.opted f.r tradition.l/in.igen.us strategies. The f.male population.at both MC an. Mn.showed a higher pref.ren.e f.r religious strategies like prayers.

In.an.xperimen. at the PHELIX laser system, high-curren. directed beams of.DLA electron. with a mean.en.rgy ten.times higher than.the pon.eromotive poten.ial an. maximum en.rgy up to 100 MeV were measured at 10^(19) W/cm^(2)laser in.en.ity. The spectrum of.directed x-raysin.the ran.e of.5–60 keV was evaluated usin. two sets of.Ross f.lters placed at 0°an. 10°to the laser pulse propagation.axis.
