Background: Arrhythmias after acute myocardial infarction are common. Bradyarrhythmias need specific insight into when and how to treat them. Objectives: To delineate the incidence, course, and management of different types of bradyarrhythmias after acute myocardial infarction, the study period was five years. Methods: 453 patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) were admitted to intensive care in five years. ECGs were analyzed for the presence of bradyarrhythmias and details of management. The problem of state feedback controllers for a class of Takagi-Sugeno （T-S） Lipschitz nonlinear systems is investigated. A simple systematic and useful synthesis method is proposed based on the use of the differential mean value theorem （DMVT） and convex theory. The proposed design approach is based on the mean value theorem （MVT） to express the nonlinear error dynamics as a convex combination of known matrices with time varying coefficients as linear parameter varying （LPV） systems. Using the Lyapunov theory, stability conditions are obtained and expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities （LMIs）. The controller gains are then obtained by solving linear matrix inequalities. The effectiveness of the proposed approach for closed loop-field oriented control （CL-FOC） of permanent magnet synchronous machine （PMSM） drives is demonstrated through an illustrative simulation for the proof of these approaches. Furthermore, an extension for controller design with parameter uncertainties and perturbation performance is discussed.

Objective:To determine the in-vitro effect of the total alkaloid extract of Peganum(P.)harmala seeds on ram epididymal ***:Semen was divided into six groups according to the following concentrations of the *** total alkaloids:1,5,10,50,and 100μg/mL,and the control *** samples were incubated at ambient temperature(21℃-24℃)for 24 h,and analyzed in terms of motility,membrane integrity,and oxidative ***:The sperm kinematic parameters,***-line velocity,curvilinear velocity,average path velocity,were significantly higher when treated with *** at concentrations ranging from 1 to 10μg/mL compared to the control group(P0.05).Conclusions:Low concentrations(1-10μg/mL)of *** extracts stimulate sperm motility,preserve membrane integrity and protect ram spermatozoa from lipid peroxidation.

Three hundred and eleven honeybee samples from 12 countries in the Middle East and North Africa （MENA）（Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Yemen, Palestine, and Sudan） were analyzed for the presence of deformed wing virus （DWV）. The prevalence of DWV throughout the MENA region was pervasive, but variable. The highest prevalence was found in Lebanon and Syria, with prevalence dropping in Palestine, Jordan, and Egypt before increasing slightly moving westwards to Algeria and Morocco Phylogenetic analysis of a 194 nucleotide section of the DWV Lp gene did not identify any significant phylogenetic resolution among the samples, although the sequences did show consistent regional clustering, including an interesting geographic gradient from Morocco through North Africa to Jordan and Syria. The sequences revealed several clear variability hotspots in the deduced amino acid sequence, which furthermore showed some patterns of regional identity. Furthermore, the sequence variants from the Middle East and North Africa appear more numerous and diverse than those from Europe.

Characterization of Upper Air Way Tract in Snoring and Non-Snoring Patients: A CT Based Study

Snoring is part of the spectrum of sleep disordered breathing. The patients with snoring should be evaluated for nasal airway obstruction. In this study, the upper air way tract was characterized in snoring patients and compared with none snoring using a quantify method for the corresponding anatomic upper air way (UA) parameters examined by Computerized Tomography (CT). Two hundred Asian patients undergoing CT scanning for head and neck were included and were divided into two groups (snoring group [n = 127] and non-snoring group [n = 73]) (mean age: 44.8 ± 15.9 years and 26.2 ± 7.0). Total 8 parameters were measured on sagital reconstructed CT images for each subject. The differences in neck circumference (NC), linear distance between mandibular plane and hyoid bone (Mp-H), upper airway length (UAL), the maximum thickness of the soft palate (SP max), soft palate length (PNS-U), linear distance between anterior and posterior nasal spine (ANS-PNS), retroglosal width (RS), retroplatal width (RP) between the snoring and non-snoring groups were compared statistically using independent sample t-test. Results showed that the NC, UAL, and SP max were significantly higher in snoring group;however RP was found to be significantly lower. Inferior positioning of hyoid bone gives longer measurement for MP-H. In snoring group UAL was found to be significantly different at p ≤ 0.000 between the two genders. All the measured variables showed no significant differences in respect to age. UA CT quantitative features play an important role in the characterization of the anatomy and are compared between snoring patients and non-snoring subjects.

Mandibular Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma Confused with a Vascular Malformation: About a Case

Malignant mesenchymal tumors (MTM) in children represent 5% to 10% of malignant tumors in children. They constitute a heterogeneous group of tumors of various differentiations depending on their supposed tissue of origin. They mainly include tumors of muscular origin, those derived from connective, vascular, nervous, or adipose tissue. Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is the most common mesenchymal tumor in children and adolescents (60% to 70% of them). And it accounts for 5.8% of all malignant solid tumors in children. Almost half of rhabdomyosarcomas occur in the head and neck. The prognosis for this type of tumor is particularly poor. A case of rhabdomyosarcoma in the mandible with extension to the abdominal wall and unilateral testis in a 6-month-old infant is reported with evolution since birth. It is a purplish lesion at the level under the right chin which was initially taken for vascular malformation, evolving very quickly towards a mandibular mass deforming the painful face with inflammatory signs, followed by the appearance of a hard swelling under the skin on the left flank taking on the same aspect of the mandibular mass. This observation illustrates the need to know how to systematically think about tumor causes in the face of atypical aspects and to carry out an anatomopathological examination.

The objective of this study is to assess commonly used formulae (Sheppard, Campbell, Hadlock I, II, III, and IV) for estimation of fetal weight in Sudanese population. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted at Saudi Hospital-Khartoum-Sudan;from December 2015 to April 2016. The study included 225 singleton pregnancies. The fetal biometry—Biparietal diameter (BPD), head circumference (HC), abdominal circumference (AC), femur length (FL) and actual birth weights (ABW) were taken. Statistical analysis showed significant results at p ≤ 0.005. Results showed that the significant highest positive correlation between the ABW and the EFW/Kg was seen in the Hadlock I, III and IV equations having an equal values (0.951) followed by Hadlock II (0.946), Sheppard (0.872) and lastly Campbell (-0.925) with significant high degree of negative correlation. The new established equation EFWFLHCAC is the best formula identified in our study to predict Sudanese babies weight ranged between 1.86 Kg to 3.987 Kg.

Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is a rare but serious ulcerating skin disease that occurs either idiopathically or associated with various systemic diseases and malignant tumors. Although the association of PG with myeloid malignant tumors is well known, their association with lymphoid malignant tumors, especially in children is extremely rare. We present here a case of PG in a 4-year and 4 months female child, diagnosed in the Pediatrics department, which had initially evolved well with oral corticosteroid therapy and a local dermocorticoid. Lipids oxidation, histamine production and quality loss were studied according to storage time and temperature (ambient temperature (Tamb) 26 °C, 4 °C and –18 °C) in Atlantic mackerel (Scomber scombrus). Muscle pH, hydrolysis of phospholipids, content of primary (hydroperoxides), secondary lipid oxidation products (TBARS) and histamine were determined and compared with a sensory assessment. Atlantic mackerel is sensory acceptable, less than 24 hours at Tamb, for up to 3 days at 4 °C and 3 months at –18 °C. Evolution of biochemical parameters with storage time and temperature showed significant differences (P < 0.05). Muscle pH increased from 5.99 to 6.13 at Tamb, to 6.23 at 4 °C and to 6.04 at –18 °C. The highest content of TBARS is associated with a decrease in phospholipids and hydroperoxides contents and highest levels of sensory alteration. Histamine content exceeded the limit recommended by the Trade Algerian Ministry (10 mg/100g), after 24 hours at Tamb, 5 days of storage at 4 °C only. Therefore, freezing storage has a preserving effect on lipid damage and histamine production and seems the best means of storage; if these species are not consumed during the two days following capture. Moreover, monitoring histamine production is more useful as sanitary index rather than spoilage parameter and the strategy used for measuring kinetic of lipid oxidation appear pertinent for determining the degree of oxidation.
