Urban life has led to the creation of human-made environments that,from a microbiological perspective,provide extreme life *** non-ubiquitous microorganisms such as thermophilic members of the black yeast genus Exophiala are enriched within these habitats for which no counterpart is known in *** consistently accumulate a number of specific black,white and red yeasts on the rubber seals of doors and in stagnant water at the *** of these yeasts are primarily known as agents of human opportunistic *** this review,the literature data are supported by a screening study involving 937 households in 15 cities in *** were detected in 230 samples(24.5%).Using rDNA sequencing,the prevalent species were identified as Exophiala dermatitidis(n=116),Candida parapsilosis(n=44),***(n=35),Magnusiomyces capitatus(n=22),rhodotorula mucilaginosa(n=15),and ***(n=14).the possible role of dishwashers in transmitting disease is discussed.

Free vibration and transient response of double curved beams connected by intermediate straight beams

this paper investigates the free vibration and transient response of interconnected structures including double curved beams and intermediate straight beams,which are all constructed from functionally graded porous(FGP) materials. the strain potential and kinetic energies of each beam along with the work done by the external force are calculated. Additionally, a higher-order beam element is introduced to derive stiffness and mass matrices, along with the force vector. the curved and straight beams are discretized, and their assembled stiffness, mass matrices, and force vectors, are *** conditions at the joints are used to derive the total matrices of the entire structure. Subsequently, the natural frequencies and transient response of the system are determined. the accuracy of the mathematical model and the self-developed computer program is validated through the comparison of the obtained results with those of the existing literature and commercial software ANSYS, demonstrating excellent ***, a comprehensive study is conducted to investigate the effects of various parameters on the free vibration and transient response of the considered structure.

Cleidocranial dysplasia(CD) is an autosomal dominant syndrome which is characterized by several skeletal malformations such as non-closed fontanelles, skeletal abnormalities of the maxilla and mandible and absence of clavicles. Mid-facial hypoplasia and mandibular prognathism are mostly seen jaw abnormalities in CD. In this study, the combined orthodontic-surgical treatment of a patient with CD with class Ⅲ malocclusion and multiple unerupted primary and deciduous teeth is presented.

Structural performance of authentic architectural heritage designs:A masonry monument in Western Anatolia

the aim of the study is to present a multi-leveled comparative evaluation approach for structural characteristics of historic masonry monuments so that the consciousness in their authentic designs is comprehended,and the optimum structural performance is clarified.A case study approach is preferred by the examination of the Bedesten(15th‒16th centuries)located in Bergama,_Izmir,*** structure is documented through tacheometric *** construction techniques of structural elements are *** documented qualities are compared with similar period and/or function structures in order to rank the frequency of construction *** geometrical factor of safety state is defined theoretically for domes and *** element macro model of the Bedesten is generated in ANSYS software and overall structural analysis of the structure is made to evaluate the safety level of historic building by the limit states through self-weight *** presented study shows that the rare structural characteristics can both contribute to structural safety and cause ***,total consciousness in structural design cannot be stated for the studied Bedesten,but the structural designs that are often preferred in the monuments built at the same period in the proximity to each other have low vulnerability,yielding to conscious preferences.

the benefits of regular physical activity are well ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(PA)into curricula within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of PA into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(MSK)anatomy course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy *** fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anatomy instructor asked questions about relevant anatomical structures related to course material previously *** the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving MSK anatomy knowledge,PA levels,and mental *** participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of MSK concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).Many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social ***,medical students saw benefit in PA based interventions to supplement MSK course *** with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating PA into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.

A Galerkin-type Fractional Approach for Solutions of Bagley-torvik Equations

In this study,we present a numerical scheme similar to the Galerkin method in order to obtain numerical solutions of the Bagley torvik equation of fractional order 3/*** this approach,the approximate solution is assumed to have the form of a polynomial in the variable t=xα,whereαis a positive real parameter of our *** problem is firstly expressed in vectoral form via substituting the matrix counterparts of the terms present in the *** taking inner product of this vector with nonnegative integer powers of t up to a selected positive parameter N,a set of linear algebraic equations is *** incorporation of the boundary conditions,the approximate solution of the problem is then computed from the solution of this linear *** present method is illustrated with two examples.

thermal Decomposition and a Kinetic Study of Poly(Para-Substituted Styrene)s

the thermal decompositions of polystyrene (PS), poly(p-methyl styrene) (PMS), poly(p-bromo styrene) (PBrS), and poly(p-chloro styrene) (PClS) were investigated through thermogravimetric analysis (tGA). For this aim, Flynn-Wall-Ozawa method was applied to derivative thermogravimetric (DtG) curves. Continuous distribution kinetics was employed with a stoichiometric kernel to determine the rate coefficients for decomposition reactions. tGA data for the polymers were investigated by nonlinear fitting procedures that yielded activation energies and frequency factors for the combined chemical reactions. the reaction order values of PS derivatives are just about 1 in the nonisothermal decomposition process. Ea values for PS, PMS, and PClS increase with % conversion individually as they decrease in the order of PS/PMS/PClS which is consistent with the molecular weight increase. On the other hand, PBrS has the highest activation energy. Also its activation energy decreases with the % conversion. thus it is suggested that PBrS degrades with somehow different mechanism.

Association between the DNA repair Gene Polymorphisms and lung Cancer in turkish Population

Introduction: DNA repair enzymes continuously monitor DNA to correct damaged nucleotide residues generated by exposure to environmental mutagenic and cytotoxic compounds or carcinogens. Our objective was to investigate the association among XrCC1 (Arg399Gln and Arg194trp), XrCC3 (thr241Met), XPD-ErCC2 (lys751Gln), APE1 (Asp241Glu), PArP-ADPrt (Val762Ala) DNA repair gene polymorphisms and lung cancer in turkish population. Materials and Methods: Our patient group consists of 90 patients with lung cancer and the control group had 100 healthy individuals all of those smoking. DNA was extracted using the whole blood samples. PCr- rFlP technique was used to investigate the polymorphisms on target genes. results: there was no significant difference in the genotype distributions of XPD lys751Gln, XrCC1 Arg194trp, XrCC3 thr241Met, APE1 Asp241Glu between lung cancer patients and controls for each polymorphism (p > 0.05). However, there was a significant difference between the genotype distributions of XrCC1 Arg399Gln, and PArP Val762Ala in patients and the control group (p > 0.05). Discussion: Only the polymorphisms of XrCC1 codon 399 and PArP Val762Ala alleles are associated with the risk of lung cancer. Other genotypes were not related to lung cancer.

In engineering practice,it is often necessary to determine functional relationships between dependent and independent *** relationships can be highly nonlinear,and classical regression approaches cannot always provide sufficiently reliable ***,Machine learning(Ml)techniques,which offer advanced regression tools to address complicated engineering issues,have been developed and widely *** study investigates the selected Ml techniques to evaluate their suitability for application in the hot deformation behavior of metallic *** Ml-based regression methods of Artificial Neural Networks(ANNs),Support Vector Machine(SVM),Decision tree regression(Dtr),and Gaussian Process regression(GPr)are applied to mathematically describe hot flow stress curve datasets acquired experimentally for a medium-carbon *** the GPr method has not been used for such a regression task before,the results showed that its performance is the most favorable and practically unrivaled;neither the ANN method nor the other studied Ml techniques provide such precise results of the solved regression analysis.

Investigation of the effects of perceived stress on antenatal care behaviors and the labor process during the COVID-19 pandemic

Objective:the aim of this study was to examine of the effects of perceived stress on antenatal care behaviors and the labor process during the COVID-19 ***:this study was conducted with a descriptive *** data were collected using an“Introductory Information Form”and the“Antenatal Perceived Stress Inventory”.Descriptive statistics were analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis,Mann-Whitney U,and multinomial logistic regression ***:the sample of the study included 487 *** mean total Antenatal Perceived Stress Inventory score of the participants was found as 2.30±*** mean medical and obstetric risks/fetal health,psychosocial changes during pregnancy,and prospect of childbirth subscale scores of the participants were determined to be 2.29±1.08,2.26±0.87,and 2.34±0.86,*** was determined that as the antenatal perceived stress levels of the participants who frequently attended physical examinations increased,they became 1.535 times more likely to perceive the care they received to be adequate(Odds ratio(Or):1.535;1.045–2.254 Confidence interval(CI);P=0.029).It was found that as the antenatal perceived stress levels of the participants whose clinical tests were frequently analyzed increased,they were 1.518 times more likely to perceive the care they received to be adequate(Or:1.518;1.080–2.135 CI;P=0.016).Moreover,as the antenatal perceived stress levels of the participants who frequently underwent fetal health follow-ups increased,they were 1.573 more likely to perceive the care they received to be adequate(Or:1.573;1.042–2.375 CI;P=0.031).Conclusion:It was concluded that as the antenatal perceived stress levels of the women who frequently underwent physical examinations,clinical test analyses,and fetal health follow-ups increases,they were more likely to consider that they received adequate care.
