The effect of hardaliye on reducing the formation of malondialdehyde during in vitro gastrointestinal digestion of meat products

Hardaliye is a non-alcoholic beverage produced from red/black grapes by adding mustard seeds and lactic acid *** this study,it was aimed to determine the total phenolic content(TPC)and total antioxidant capacity(TAC)of hardaliye samples produced with three different grape varieties(Shiraz,Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon)before and after in vitro digestion,to determine their bioaccessibility,and to investigate their effects on reducing malondialdehyde(MDA)formation in meat *** decreased after in vitro digestion in all three hardaliye samples and their bioaccessibility values were 57.64%,41.54%,and 52.78%(for Shiraz,Merlot,and Cabernet Sauvignon hardaliye,respectively).After in vitro digestion TAC value according to the DPPH method increased in all samples and according to the CUPRAC method decreased in Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon hardaliye samples,while it increased in the Shiraz *** in vitro digestion,MDA value increased in control meat samples and decreased in the samples treated with hardaliye *** treatment with other beverages was effective in reducing the post-digestion MDA value of some meat samples,the hardaliye samples were more effective in reducing this value and the lowest MDA bioaccessibility(%)values were determined in those treated with hardaliye *** samples with the lowest values were meat doner 1 treated with Shiraz hardaliye(10.27%);burger patties 2 treated with Shiraz hardaliye(22.40%);and meatball 2 treated with Cabernet Sauvignon hardaliye(7.12%).These findings indicate that hardaliye has potential beneficial health effects and can be used for the design of healthy eating patterns due to its lipid oxidation reducing potential in the gastrointestinal tract.

Purpose: Low back pain (LBP), Gonarthrosis, knee, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome have been regarded as affecting more than three-quarters’ of individuals in their lifetime. The aim of this study was conducted to determine and compare the effects of topical patients with sand compared with control related to Gonarthrosis, LBP, knee, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome pain. Methods: This is a prospective case and control designed study based on 101 pain case with Sand and 101 control subjects. The interventional groups in addition either topical sand or without sand 2 months after the intervention were assessed. We assessed tolerability of an established pain perception scale by the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Categorical variables were compared using the chi-square (χ2) test. The paired t-test was used to compare the two groups before and after the intervention. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was employed for comparison of several group means. Results: The study was based on 202 patients, 41 males (20.3%) and 161 females (79.7%). There were statistically significant differences between subjects with and without Sand in term of Gonarthrosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis LBP, knee, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome pain (p = 0.033). Majority of patients were over age 55 years old (55%) and females 78 (77.2%). The mean score of total pain experience before and after the intervention was 7.41 ± 1.1 for black sand, and 4.24 ± 2.38 for without sand as control group. Is it sufficient to evaluate only preoperative systemic inflammatory biomarkers to predict postoperative complications after pancreaticoduodenectomy?

Postoperative morbidity and mortality rates are still very high among patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD).However,mortality rates secondary to morbidities that are detected early and well-managed postoperatively are lower among patients undergoing *** early detection of complications plays a very important role in the management of these patients,many ongoing studies are being conducted on this *** endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and biliary drainage history of the patient study group is important for comparison of C-reactive protein(CRP),an inflammatory parameter evaluated in the retrospective study by Coppola et al published in the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery and titled“Utility of preoperative systemic inflammatory biomarkers in predicting postoperative complications after pancreaticoduodenectomy:Literature review and single center experience”.Therefore,it may be more appropriate to compare CRP values in randomized patients.

Background and aims:In this study,the relationship between perceived stress and psychological well-being was analyzed in liver transplant recipients having immunosuppressive ***:This study was performed as descriptive research with 134 patients who had liver transplantation at the organ transplantation institute of a training and research hospital(n?134).The Perceived Stress Scale and the Psychological Well-Being Scale were used for the data *** research data were analyzed by using the Statistical Package for Social Science ***:Of all participant liver transplant recipients,22.4%were aged 18–27 years and 48–57 years and 80.6%were ***,the participant liver transplant recipients used immunosuppressive drugs such as prednisolone(92.53%),tacrolimus(61.9%),and mycophenolate mofetil(52.98%).It was found that there was a statistically significant relationship between psychological well-being and perceived ***:In this study,it was discerned that perceived stress affected psychological well-being *** is of importance to realize the stress experienced by liver transplant recipients and enhance their psychological *** the process following transplant surgery,the liver transplant recipients should be carefully followed and efforts to improve patient outcomes should be made.

A study on the effects of diffusion of information on epidemic spread

In this work,the spread of a contagious disease on a society where the individuals may take precautions is *** primary assumption is that the infected individuals transmit the infection to the susceptible members of the community through direct contact *** the meantime,the susceptibles gather information from the adjacent sites which may lead to taking *** SIR model is used for the diffusion of infection while the Bass equation models the information *** sociological classification of the individuals indicates that a small percentage of the population takes action immediately after being informed,while the majority expects to see some real advantage of taking *** individuals are assumed to take two different *** precursory measures are getting vaccinated or trying to avoid direct contact with the neighbors.A weighted average of states of the neighbors leads to the choice of *** fully connected and scale-free Networks are employed as the underlying network of *** comparison between the simple contagion diffusion and the diffusion of infection in a responsive society showed that a very limited precaution makes a considerable difference in the speed and the size of the spread of ***,highly connected hub nodes play an essential role in the reduction of the spread of disease.

In this work,dynamics of diffusion of innovation in the smartphone markets is modeled by using an agent-based simulation in a period of 28 quarters starting from *** changes in smartphone technology affected the consumer preferences and two operating systems,namely Android and iOS,out of over 10 operating systems,and dominated the smartphone markets in a period of 6 *** model aims to study the conditions of competition and adoption among similar high technology *** roles of the essential parameters,namely affordability and social effects have been the main interest points in these *** this end,a simple,Cobb–Douglas production relation-based model on simple square lattice is *** model parameters are adjusted to match the simulation results with the actual market shares data obtained from Statista.A clear relation between the model parameter values and global sales of different operating systems is observed.

Many industrial processes may quickly proceed with biotechnological and enzymatic *** and production facilitator properties of enzymes have provided variable advantages for ***,enzyme utilization has become inevitable for industry and supplied financial advantages in case of the high energy requirement *** the study,the amylase enzymes were isolated from thermal spring sources,and the effect on bread quality was ***,fungal amylases were isolated from thermal spring sources(29-98◦C)in various places around *** determining the functional properties of amylase enzymes,the most active enzyme was used in bread production to examine their effect on bread *** maximum alpha-amylase activity(38.6 U/mg)has been detected in Aspergillus niger G 2-1 *** compared with the commercially available one,native alpha-amylase increased the bread volume.A significant difference(pe color properties and size of the bread between microbial produced in this study and commercially produced *** ppm alpha-amylase addition showed the optimum bread properties for dough processing.
