Fog Computing(FC)provides processing and storage resources at the edge of the Internet of Things(IoT).By doing so,FC can help reduce latency and improve reliability of IoT *** energy consumption of servers and computing resources is one of the factors that directly affect conservation costs in fog *** consumption can be reduced by efficacious scheduling methods so that tasks are offloaded on the best possible *** deal with this problem,a binary model based on the combination of the Krill Herd Algorithm(KHA)and the Artificial Hummingbird Algorithm(AHA)is introduced as Binary KHA-AHA(BAHA-KHA).KHA is used to improve ***,the BAHA-KHA local optimal problem for task scheduling in FC environments is solved using the dynamic voltage and frequency scaling(DVFS)*** Heterogeneous Earliest Finish Time(HEFT)method is used to discover the order of task flow *** goal of the BAHA-KHA model is to minimize the number of resources,the communication between dependent tasks,and reduce energy *** this paper,the FC environment is considered to address the workflow scheduling issue to reduce energy consumption and minimize makespan on fog *** results were tested on five different workflows(Montage,CyberShake,LIGO,SIPHT,and Epigenomics).The evaluations show that the BAHA-KHA model has the best performance in comparison with the AHA,KHA,PSO and GA *** BAHA-KHA model has reduced the makespan rate by about 18%and the energy consumption by about 24%in comparison with *** is a preview of subscription content,log in via an institution to check access.

党参是一种多年生草本植物,主要分布于东亚、东南亚和中亚,最常见的种有柳叶党参、毛党参等。据记载,它们作为传统中药有着悠久的历史,常被用作健脾补肺、养血生液等。在中国的南部和东南亚地区,有些种类是被当作食材,例如茶、酒、汤、膏和粥。党参具有广泛的生物学活性,因此在中草药中具有重要的地位。党参是我国一种重要的中草药,其主要活性成分之一是多糖。本研究采用热水浸提法从党参根中提取粗多糖,并对其提取条件、理化性质、结构特征、分子量、单糖组成等进行了研究,测定了其抗氧化活性,以期能够发现其作用机理,提高其功能特性。采用Box-Behnken设计(BBD)和响应面法(RSM),依据单因素实验和专业设计软件确定了等高线图、曲面图等RSM的最佳提取条件。主要内容如下:采用热水法提取党参多糖,采用3500Da截流的透析袋透析48h进行纯化。根据单因素实验,采用Box-Behnken设计和响应面法对提取工艺进行优化。采用苯酚-硫酸法测定多糖含量,采用排阻色谱结合多角度光散射分析(SEC-MALS)计算HW-CPPs的分子量。分别使用荧光光谱、动态光散射(DLS)、刚果红(CR)、圆二色性(CD)、x-射线衍射分析(XRD)和扫描电子显微镜观察(SEM),对提取的HW-CPPs进行了进一步的表征,包括其在水溶液中的自缔合行为、链的构象、尺寸分布结构以及成分信息的确定。研究结果表明,在最佳提取工艺(固-液比为1:12.6 g/mL、颗粒大小为72目、温度为60℃、提取时间为60 min时),粗多糖的产率最高可达13.606%。采用排阻色谱结合多角度光散射分析(SEC-MALS)计算得出HW-CPPs分子量为3.69×10。单糖组成分析表明:HW-CPPs是酸性杂多糖,主要含有甘露糖、鼠李糖、葡萄糖醛酸、半乳糖醛酸、葡萄糖、半乳糖、木糖和阿拉伯糖。此外,采用刚果红(CR)结合试验、圆二色谱(CD)法、X射线衍射(XRD)和紫外-可见分光光度法研究证实:HW-CPPs具有三重螺旋空间构象和半晶态结构,且存在一定的杂质。其粒度分布采用动态光散射(DLS)和扫描电镜(SEM)进行分析,结果显示多糖呈中等程度的多分散团聚体。扫描电镜观察显示HW-CPPs具有光滑的纤维结构。此外,本研究还探讨了HW-CPPs的抗氧化活性,测定了它对DPPH、ABTS+、羟基自由基的清除作用和对铁还原力的影响。结果表明,党参多糖具有一定的体外抗氧化活性。综上所述,本研究获得了一整套关于党参多糖的提取、优化、表征及生物活性评价的结果,对党参多糖的综合开发具有重要的应用价值。

研究的目的是制备一种烘焙用W/O型脱模油乳状液产品，通过向该乳状液中添加复合非离子型乳化剂来研究乳状液的稳定性。用水、大豆油、乳化剂组成的W/O型乳状液制备一种低粘度的烘焙用脱模油，具备可喷雾干燥、高物理学稳定性、好的释放性能、可以淡化焙烤食品表面颜色以及在焙烤温度范围内具有低的烟点等性能。复合乳化剂聚甘油蓖麻油脂肪酸酯（PGPR）/蔗糖酯和PGPR/span40在油水比例为40：50时，均可形成W/O型乳状液。复合乳化剂PGPR/吐温80在油水比例为50：45时，可以形成W/O型乳状液。此外，复合乳化剂聚甘油/蔗糖酯在任一油水比例均不能形成W/O型乳状液，形成的是O/W型乳状液。复合乳化剂聚甘油/蔗糖酯形成的O/W型乳状液具有最好的稳定性，其次是PGPR/span40、PGPR/吐温80，PGPR/蔗糖酯形成的乳状液具有最差的稳定性。复合乳化剂聚甘油/蔗糖酯形成的O/W型乳状液比W/O型乳状液具有低的粘度和烟点。复合乳化剂PGPR/span40因为可以在较高的水分比例下形成W/O型乳状液以及形成的乳状液具有相对较高的稳定性，所以被选出做进一步研究分析。将PGPR (HLB=3)、span40(HLB=6.7)两种亲水和亲油的非离子型乳化剂组合在一起来稳定W/O型乳状液体系，并向体系中分别添加乙醇和硬脂酸钠做进一步的研究。当复合乳化剂的HLB值从3增加到4.48时，W/O型乳状液稳定性随之提高。继续增加HLB值（4.85-5.59），W/O型乳状液的稳定性显著下降。当乙醇的添加量为10wt%时，乳状液的稳定性提高，但是当乙醇含量增加到10wt%以上时，乳状液稳定性下降，相比于没有添加乙醇的乳状液，具有小的粒径和粒径分布。添加少量的乙醇(5-15wt%)对乳状液的烟点无明显影响，高比例的乙醇含量使W/O型乳状液的烟点略微增加。通常，乙醇可以帮助减小W/O型乳状液的粘度。添加硬脂酸钠(0.05-0.2wt%)可以提高W/O型乳状液的稳定性、粘度，降低烟点。当水分含量增加时，乳状液具有高粘度、高烟点和低稳定性。将制备的脱模油与大豆油进行物理性质和粘弹性的比较，发现在没有太大差别。将脱模油涂在模具表面，做出的蛋糕相对于在模具上涂了大豆油后做出的蛋糕更容易从模具中分离，而且表面几乎没有灼烧的颜色。

Uniphyline-Induced Hypophosphatemia: A Rare Etiology of Severe Respiratory Failure

Hypophosphataemia is defined as low level of phosphate in the blood (normal range 0.8 - 1.4 mmol/l), which can be drug-induced such as uniphyline. We present a case of elderly female patient with known chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, admitted with acute respiratory failure and low serum phosphate level, her clinical signs and serum phosphate level did not improve with conventional therapy and intravenous phosphate replacement, until her recently commenced uniphyline was discontinued. This highlights the importance of awareness amongst the clinicians about this rare but potential side effect of uniphyline. We suggest monitoring phosphate levels in patients admitted with acute respiratory failure especially those on extended bronchodilator therapy.

Challenges in differential diagnosis between obstructive and non-obstructive azoospermia

Background:Some cases of non-obstructive azoospermia(NOA)are characterized by normal clinical parameters,including testicular volume and levels of reproductive hormones,mimicking obstructive azoospermia(OA).Methods:We performed a retrospective review of a consecutive series of 1417 patients undergoing primary surgical sperm retrieval between 2014 and ***-stimulating hormone(FSH)level below 7.6 IU/l and normal testicular size with a long axis measurement>4.6 cm were used as criteria to suspect ***:Four hundred and eighteen patients with normal testicular volume and FSH levels had an initial diagnosis of *** them,243(58.1%)had histological signs of spermatogenic dysfunction,and 175(41.9%)had true *** hundred eleven patients had long-standing obstruction(median:16.5 years)with a median Bergmann-Kliesch score(BKS)of 5(interquartile range[IQR]:4-6)and 100%sperm retrieval rate(SRR),though some required microdissection testicular sperm extraction(microTESE).Fifty-eight patients with a history of epididymo-orchitis had a median BKS of 4(IQR:2-6)and 100%*** patients with a history of unjustified medical treatment for male infertility had a median BKS of 3(IQR:1-4)and 80%***-four patients had uniform maturation arrest with a 5.5%SRR on ***:Men with normal testicular volume and FSH level may have evidence of spermatogenic failure on *** with complicated seminal tract obstruction commonly have hypospermatogenesis,but true NOA caused by uniform maturation arrest may also be *** counseling for suspected OA should not be overly optimistic,and couples should be warned about possibility of conversion to microTESE and risks of negative sperm retrieval.

Gastrointestinal Symptoms—A Rare Complication of Untreated CPA Tumor

Cerebellopontine angle (CPA) lesions account for up to 10% of all intracranial tumors. Most CPA tumors are benign, but can cause nerve damage or compress the surrounding structures if left untreated. The typical presentation is with adult-onset sensorineural hearing loss or non-pulsatile tinnitus. In some patients, this goes unnoticed, and presentation is delayed until the lesion is much larger and presents with symptoms related to mass effect. We present the case study of 63 years old gentleman, who had suspected left CPA lesion on CT head done few years ago for dizziness and left-sided facial numbness. MRI could not be done at that time due to his MRI incompatible pacemaker leading to delay in his management eventually causing loss of patient to the follow up. He later developed progressive difficulty in walking which was initially attributed to as secondary to vasovagal syncope and postural hypotension. He eventually presented to us with intractable nausea and vomiting, worsening headache and ataxia. He had an urgent CT head which showed significant growth in the lesion with compression of the surrounding structures and obstructive hydrocephalus. He was given steroids which improved his nausea and vomiting, followed by undergoing surgery in regional center leading to significant improvement in his gait within few days of surgery. He unfortunately continued to have a degree of ataxia and facial numbness. This case illustrates a rare presentation of CPA tumor with symptoms of nausea and vomiting as a result of mass effect of the growing tumor. In addition, this review also shows the importance of regularly following up the patients with suspected CPA lesions on initial scans which will help with identifying the increase in size of lesion promptly and potentially preventing advanced complications of CPA tumors. We suggest regular monitoring of these patients to timely manage the lesion and avoid the potential life-threatening complications.
