Objective To examine the resilience of parents of children with congenital heart disease and to investigate socio-demographic factors that may influence parents’*** This is a web-based survey study using a cross-sectional design.A purposive sampling method was utilized to recruit 515 parents who care for children with congenital heart *** was assessed using the Dispositional Resilience Scale-Ⅱ.Based on expert-interviews,a questionnaire was designed to collect socio-demographic *** statistics,factor analysis,and linear regressions were used to analyze *** A total of 413 parents completed the survey *** mean resilience score was 3.75(SD=0.61;range=1.89–4.89)with higher scores indicating higher *** linear regression models demonstrated that parents who had lower education levels and lower gross household income had lower resilience(Pconclusions Parents reported resilience that reflected their ability to cope with stressful events and mitigate stressors associated with having and caring for children with congenital heart *** education levels and lower gross household income are associated with lower *** increase parents’resilience,nursing practice and nurse-led interventions should target screening and providing support for parents at-risk for lower *** lower education level and financial hardship are factors that are difficult to modify through personal efforts,charitable foundations,federal and state governments should consider programs that would provide financial and health literacy support for parents at-risk for lower resilience.

Background: Scrotal trauma is a rare injury, and can compromise reproductive function. If in closed trauma, a morphological assessment of the lesion is usually necessary before treatment, in open trauma otherwise, namely in the case of testicular evisceration, surgical exploration is the rule. Objective: To present the management of open scrotal trauma. case Presentation: These were two adults aged 42 and 63, admitted for post-traumatic testicular evisceration. One of the patients presented with signs of infection due to a diagnosis delay. Management consisted on surgical exploration, with scrotal debridement and testicular reintegration. The evolution was favourable. conclusion: Open scrotal trauma is a rare lesion that can cause testicular evisceration. It requires surgical exploration, which should be systematic.

ceramic Properties of Three Specimens of Alluvial clays Used in Local constructions from Mbouda clay Deposit, West cameroon

The Mbouda alluvial deposit is located at the foot of the Bamboutos mountains (West cameroon) where three types of clayey materials are widespread. The populations collect these clays in their natural state in view of constructions using fired bricks or compressed blocks. Unfortunately, these buildings are not strong. This study investigates the causes of the strengthlessness of buildings and suggests solutions to overcome the difficulty. The research content includes field and laboratory studies. The methodology consists of sampling black (AN), white (AB) and red (AR) clays specimens identified in the study area and analysing them simultaneously at MIPROMALO (cameroon) and at AcME LAB in Vancouver (canada). The results obtained show a high sand content in the samples AN (64%), AB (55.2%), AR (30.9%). The compressive strength of the built specimens is low at 900˚c considered as the traditional firing temperature AN (0.94 MPa), AB (5.25 MPa), AR (2.18 MPa). The mineralogical series are identically made by kaolinite, chlorite, gibbsite, quartz, muscovite, biotite, goethite, magnetite and hematite. Silica (SiO2) presents higher contents AN (52.87%), AB (48.02%), AR (47.68%) followed by alumina (Al2O3) AN (29.96%), AB (28.13%), AR (24.72%). The other elements are poorly represented.

Use of sub-micron sized resin particles for removal of endocrine disrupting compounds and pharmaceuticals from water and wastewater

Endocrine disrupting compounds（EDcs） and pharmaceuticals pose a challenge for water and wastewater treatment because they exist at very low concentrations in the presence of substances at much higher concentrations competing for adsorption ***-micron sized resin particles（approximately 300 nm in diameter）（SMR） were tested to evaluate their potential as a treatment for EDcs including：17-β estradiol（E2）,17-α ethinylestradiol（EE2）,estrone（E1）,bisphenol A（BPA）,and diethylstilbestrol（DES） as well as 12 *** were able to remove 98%of spiked E2,80%of EE2,87%of BPA,and up to 97%of DES from *** a 0.5 ppm mixture of E2,EE2,E1,BPA and DES,the minimum removal was24%（E2） and the maximum was 49%（DES）.They were also able to remove the pharmaceuticals from deionized water and ***,SMR are a promising advanced treatment for removal of both EDcs and pharmaceuticals.

Background: Elbow dislocations in pediatric patients are rare injuries. This is a therapeutic emergency because a delay in treatment can have disastrous consequences on the functional level of the upper limb. Objective: To present the management of elbow dislocation in children in cases of limited resources. Presentation of the cases: These were 2 older male children aged 7 and 9 years old, admitted to the emergency room for painful functional impotence of the right elbow after a fall and landing on the right hand. clinical and radiological examinations were in favor of posterior elbow dislocations. The reductions were carried out under sedation and immobilization in Jersey. According to Robert’s criteria, the functional result was excellent in both patients. conclusion: Emergency reduction and immobilization whatever the means ensure an excellent functional prognosis even in cases of limited resources.

A land-use map at the regional scale is a heavy computation task yet is critical to most landowners,researchers,and decision-makers,enabling them to make informed decisions for varying *** are two major difficulties in generating land classification maps at the regional scale:the necessity of large data-sets of training points and the expensive computation cost in terms of both money and *** Geographic Information opens a new era in mapping and visualizing the physical world by providing an open-access database valuable georeferenced information collected by volunteer *** one of the most well-known VGI initiatives,OpenStreetMap(OSM),contributes not only to road network distribution information but also to the potential for using these data to justify and delineate land ***,most large-scale mapping approaches-including regional and national scales–confuse“land cover”and“land-use”,or build up the land-use database based on modeled land cover data-sets,in this study,we clearly distinguished and differentiated land-use from land *** focusing on our prime objective of mapping land-use and management practices,a robust regional land-use mapping approach was developed by integrating OSM data with the earth observation remote sensing *** novel approach incorporates a vital temporal component to large-scale land-use mapping while effectively eliminating the typically burdensome computation and time/money demands of such ***,our novel approach in regional scale land-use mapping produced robust results in our study area:the overall internal accuracy of the classifier was 95.2%and the external accuracy of the classifier was measured at 74.8%.

What do we know about parasitic plants and the leaf economic spectrum?

The leaf economic spectrum(LES)quantifes correlations between key leaf traits across vascular plants and distills much of the variation in these traits to a single *** LES,remarkable in its near universality,has been extensively researched across a variety of ***,parasitic plants relationship to the LES framework remains relatively *** the LES is,in part,driven by physiological tradeoffs in the acquisition of carbon(c),in theory heterotrophy in parasitic plants,which supplants some of the essential functions of leaves,could lead to departures from the *** global leaf trait data from the TRY database,this work assessed the overall representation of parasitic plants in the TRY database,then compared the LES suite of leaf traits in parasitic plants to their non-parasitic *** their unique physiology,parasitic plants did not deviate dramatically from the LES,although there were examples of differences in position on the LES and relationships among *** more importantly,parasitic plants are not well represented in the TRY database,making any conclusions here premature.

Sleep is a critical part of our daily *** impacts every organ and system of our body,from the brain to the heart and from cellular metabolism to immune function.A consistent daily schedule of quality of sleep makes a world of difference to our health and *** its importance,so many individuals have trouble sleeping *** quality sleep has such a detrimental impact on many aspects of our lives;it affects our thinking,learning,memory,and ***,and most poignantly,poor quality sleep over time increases the risk of developing a serious medical condition,including neurodegenerative *** this review,we focus on a potentially new non-pharmacological treatment that improves the quality of *** treatment,called photobiomodulation,involves the application of very specific wavelengths of light to body *** animal models,these wavelengths,when applied at night,have been reported to stimulate the removal of fluid and toxic waste-products from the brain;that is,they improve the brain’s inbuilt house-keeping *** suggest that transcranial nocturnal photobiomodulation,by improving brain function at night,will help improve the health and well-being of many individuals,by enhancing the quality of their sleep.
