tandem solar cells are a key technology for exceeding the theoretical efficiency limit of single-junction *** of the most promising combinations is the silicon–perovskite tandem cells,considering their potential for high efficiency,fabrication on a large scale,and low *** most research focuses on improving each subcell,another key challenge lies in the tunnel junction that connects these subcells,significantly impacting the overall cell ***,we demonstrate the first use of tunnel junctions using a stack of p+/n+polysilicon passivating contacts deposited directly on the tunnel oxide to overcome the drawbacks of conventional metal oxide-based tunnel junctions,including low tunneling efficiency and sputter *** Random Forest analysis,we achieved high implied open circuit voltages over 700 mV and low contact resistivities of 500 mΩcm 2,suggesting fill factor losses of less than 1%abs for the operating conditions of a tandem cell.

Using robotic devices might improve recovery post-stroke, but the optimal way to apply robotic assistance has yet to be determined. the current study aimed to investigate whether training under the robotic active-assisted mode improves bimanual motor skill learning(biMSkL) more than training under the active mode in stroke patients. twenty-six healthy individuals(HI) and 23 chronic hemiparetic stroke patients with a detectable lesion on MRI or Ct scan, who demonstrated motor deficits in the upper limb, were randomly allocated to two parallel groups. the protocol included a two-day training on a new bimanual cooperative task, LIFt-tHE-tRAY, under either the active or activeassisted modes(where assistance decreased in a pre-determined stepwise fashion) with the bimanual version of the REAplan? robotic device. the hypothesis was that the active-assisted mode would result in greater biMSkL than the active mode. the biMSkL was quantified by a speed-accuracy trade-off(SAt) before(t1) and immediately after(t2) training on days 1 and 2(t3 and t4). the change in SAt after 2 days of training(t4/t1) indicated that both HI and stroke patients learned and retained the bimanual cooperative task. After 2 days of training, the active-assisted mode did not improve biMSkL more than the active mode(t4/t1) in HI nor stroke patients. Whereas HI generalized the learned bimanual skill to different execution speeds in both the active and active-assisted subgroups, the stroke patients generalized the learned skill only in the active subgroup. taken together, the active-assisted mode, applied in a pre-determined stepwise decreasing fashion, did not improve biMSkL more than the active mode in HI and stroke subjects. Background： Expression levels for genes of interest must be normalized with an appropriate reference, or housekeeping gene, to make accurate comparisons of quantitative real-time PCR results. the purpose of this study was to identify the most stable housekeeping genes in porcine articular cartilage subjected to a mechanical injury from a panel of 10 candidate genes. Results： ten candidate housekeeping genes were evaluated in three different treatment groups of mechanically impacted porcine articular cartilage. the genes evaluated were： beta actin, beta-2-microglobulin, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, hydroxymethylbilane synthase, hypoxanthine phosphoribosyl transferase, peptidylprolyl isomerase A （cyclophilin A）, ribosomal protein L4, succinate dehydrogenase flavoprotein subunit A, tAtA box binding protein, and tyrosine 3-monooxygenase/tryptophan 5-monooxygenase activation protein--zeta polypeptide the stability of the genes was measured using geNorm, BestKeeper, and NormFinder software. the four most stable genes measured via geNorm were （most to least stable） succinate dehydrogenase flavoprotein, subunit A, peptidylprolyl isomerase A, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, beta actin; the four most stable genes measured via BestKeeper were glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, peptidylprolyl isomerase A, beta actin, succinate dehydrogenase flavoprotein, subunit A; and the four most stable genes measured via NormFinder were peptidylprolyl isomerase A, sucdnate dehydrogenase flavoprotein, subunit A, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, beta actin. Conclusions： BestKeeper, geNorm, and NormFinder all generated similar results for the most stable genes in porcine articular cartilage. the use of these appropriate reference genes will facilitate accurate gene expression studies of porcine articular cartilage and suggest appropriate housekeeping genes for articular cartilage studies in other species.

this paper investigates the appropriate range of values for the transcutaneous blood oxygen saturation(StO2)of granulating tissues and the surrounding tissue that can ensure timely wound *** work has used a multispectral imaging system to collect wound images at wave-lengths ranging between 520 nm and 600 nm with a resolution of 10 *** part of this research,a pilot study was conducted on three injured individuals with superfcial wounds of different wound ages at different skin *** S_(t)O_(2)value predicted for the examined wounds using the Extended Modified Lambert-Beer model revealed a mean S_(t)O_(2)of 61±10.3%compared to 41.6±6.2%at the surrounding tissues,and 50.1±1.53%for control *** preliminary results contribute to the existing knowledge on the possible range and variation of wound bed S_(t)O_(2)that are to be used as indicators of the functioning of the vasomotion system and wound *** study has concluded that a high S_(t)O_(2)of approximately 60%and a large fuctuation in this value should precede a good progression in wound healing.

Animals have evolved foraging strategies to acquire blends of nutrients that maximize fitness traits. In social insects, nu trie nt regulation is complicated by the fact that few in dividuals, the foragers, must address the diverge nt nutritional n eeds of all colony members simulta neously, includi ng other workers, the reproductives, and the brood. Here we used 3D nutritional geometry design to examine how bumblebee workers regulate their collection of 3 major macronutrients in the presence and absenee of brood. We provided small colonies artificial nectars (liquid diets) and pollens (solid diets) varying in their compositions of proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates during 2 weeks. Colo nies give n a choice betwee n nutrition ally complementary diets self-selected foods to reach a target ratio of 71% proteins, 6% carbohydrates, and 23% lipids, irrespective of the presenee of brood. Whe n con fined to a single nutrition ally imbalanced solid diet, colonies without brood regulated lipid collection and over-collected protein relative to this target ratio, whereas colonies with brood regulated both lipid and protein collection. this brood effect on the regulation of nutrient collection by workers suggests that protein levels are critical for larval development. Our results highlight the importa nee of con sidering bee nu trition as a multidimensi onal phe no men on to better assess the effects of environmental impoverishment and malnutrition on population declines.
