Micro-encapsulated phase-change materials(micro PCMs) with Na_2 HPO_4·12 H_2 O encapsulated in poly(lactic acid)(PLA) shell were prepared by a solvent evaporation–precipitation method that involves the use of a coaxial needle. The effects of PLA concentration, stirring speed, injection rate of core and shell solutions, and polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) concentration on phase change properties were investigated. The thermal properties of microP CMs were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). The capsules prepared under the optimal conditions are about 2 mm in diameter and show a latent heat of up to 122.2 J·g^(-1).

BACkGROUND Little is known about the safety and efficacy of using two or more biologics for the treatment of immune-mediated diseases,including Crohn’s disease(CD).CASE SUMMARY This case report and narrative review demonstrate the potential safety of dual biologic therapy(DBT)in a 45-year-old female with two separate immunemediated *** had a history of multiple sclerosis for which she was receiving treatment with ocrelizumab,and she had been recently diagnosed with CD after presenting with *** CD diagnosis was confirmed radiologically,endoscopically,histologically,and *** patient received treatment with vedolizumab,a gut-specific inhibitor of theα4β7 integrin on *** adverse reactions were observed for the duration of *** safety of ocrelizumab and vedolizumab for the treatment of different immune-mediated diseases was *** DBT may be a safe and effective option for the treatment of refractory disease or multiple immunemediated *** biologics,which have improved safety profiles and gut specificity,may provide promising avenues for ***,caution must be exercised in the appropriate selection of biologics given their inherent immunosuppressive properties,side effects,and efficacy *** evidence suggests that biologic therapy is not associated with a worse prognosis in patients with coronavirus disease 2019,but treatment decisions should be made in a multidisciplinary *** research from controlled trials is needed to better understand the safety profile of DBT in *** immunopathological mechanisms underlying DBT also remain to be clarified.

Liver transplantation and hepatic resection are effective surgical strategies for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).In the current issue of Annals of Surgery,Professor Pinna and colleagues applied a cure model to compare both treatments(1).Comparison was made in terms of cure ***,curation has never been concisely defined in clinical *** the standard survival model,patients are considered disease-free after R0 resection but are always at risk of *** is arguable,particularly for HCC,whether disease clearance equates curation,as more than half of patients recur in 5 years after radical resection(2).In epidemiology,statistical cure is achieved when the mortality of the patients treated for a specific disease return to that in the general population(3).However,statistical cure is neither practical in clinical sense,as patients surviving with disease are also considered cured.

In this article,we present our research results on chemical fixation of CO_(2) using organobismuth *** fabricated bismuth biphenoate complex,Zn-Mg-Al composite oxides,and SBA-15 or Al-SBA-15 immobilized hydroxyl ionic liquid for CO_(2) cycloaddition onto *** hypervalent bismuth compounds show good ability for association and dissociation with CO_(2).The bismuth biphenolate complexes are catalytically effective for the cycloaddition *** heterogeneous catalysts,***-Mg-Al oxides and SBA-15 or Al-SBA-15 immobilized ionic liquid,are efficient for the synthesis of cyclic carbonate from CO_(2) and *** is found that the presence of a trace amount of water can improve the catalytic activity of the immobilized ionic liquid.

Monoclinic BiVO4 with multiple morphologies and/or porous structures were fabricated using the hydrothermal strategy. The materials were characterized by means of the XRD, Raman, TGA/DSC, SEM, XPS, and UV-Vis techniques. The photocatalytic activities of the BiVO4 materials were evaluated for the degradation of Methyl Orange under visible-light irradiation. It is observed that pH value and surfactant exerted a great effect on the morphology and pore structure of the BiVO4 product. Spherical BiVO4 with porous structures, flower-cluster-like BiVO4, and flower-bundle-like BiVO4 were generated hydrothermally at 100°C with poly（vinyl pyrrolidone）（PVP） and urea （pH = 2） and at 160°C with NaHCO3 （pH = 7 and 8）, respectively. The PVP-derived BiVO4 showed much higher surface areas （5.0-8.4 m2/g） and narrower bandgap energies （2.45-2.49 eV）. The best photocatalytic performance of the spherical BiVO4 material with a surface area of 8.4 m2/g was associated with its higher surface area, narrower bandgap energy, higher surface oxygen vacancy density, and unique porous architecture.

A number of platinum coordination compounds exhibit antitumour *** on an “East-meets-West” drug design philosophy,our group recently reported the development of a novel series of Platinum anticancer agents[Pt(CHO)(NHR)]by integrating a Pt-moiety with demethylcantharidin(norcantharidin),a modified structural component of a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)[1,2].The platinum complex containing 1,2-diaminocyclohexane,abbreviated as DACH,has three isomeric structure,RR;SS and Cis as the non-leaving *** a starting point for the investigations of DACH containing group,a NMR structure of RR-DACH-Pt bound DNA (PDB code:1PG9)was used to create a binding site by replacing RR-DACH-Pt with other DACH-Platinum moieties described ***-type force field was successfully constructed for modeling small square planar DACH-Platinum(Ⅱ)complexes and Platinum-Guanine *** then the free energies of binding between Pt-DACH and DNA were computed using MM-PBSA,averaged over structures from molecular dynamics *** has been used as one possible factor in the activity of these *** binding free energy,RR＜SS＜Cis, is in good agreement with the observed activity reported before.

The integration of surface normals for the purpose of computing the shape of a surface in 3D space is a classic problem in computer vision. However,even nowadays it is still a challenging task to devise a method that is flexible enough to work on non-trivial computational domains with high accuracy, robustness,and computational efficiency. By uniting a classic approach for surface normal integration with modern computational techniques, we construct a solver that fulfils these requirements. Building upon the Poisson integration model, we use an iterative krylov subspace solver as a core step in tackling the task. While such a method can be very efficient, it may only show its full potential when combined with suitable numerical preconditioning and problem-specific initialisation. We perform a thorough numerical study in order to identify an appropriate preconditioner for this *** provide suitable initialisation, we compute this initial state using a recently developed fast marching integrator. Detailed numerical experiments illustrate the benefits of this novel combination. In addition, we show on real-world photometric stereo datasets that the developed numerical framework is flexible enough to tackle modern computer vision applications.
