Examining the Relationship of Organizational Intelligence with Innovation Management and Career Advancement in an Organization

The present study aimed to examine the relationship of organizational intelligence with innovation management and career advancement in an organization. Considering its objective, this was a descriptive-correlational study. The statistical population included all high school managers in Zahedan at the year 2015. The sample contained 52 male managers and 51 female managers whom were selected through applying stratified random sampling method. To collect data, Organizational Intelligence Questionnaire, Innovation Management Inventory and Questionnaire of Career Advancement were used, the validity of which was assessed through applying the standpoint of a number of university professors and their reliability was obtained 0.74, 0.76, 0.84, respectively, using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Results indicated that considering managers’ perspectives, the status of organizational intelligence and career advancement were desirable;however, the status of innovation management was moderate. Moreover, organizational intelligence and its components were significantly and positively correlated with innovation management (r = 0.512, P < 0.01), and there was a significant and positive relationship between organizational intelligence and career advancement (r = 0.334, P < 0.01). Findings demonstrated that components of desire to change, spirit, unity and agreement, application of knowledge, performance pressure were significantly correlated to career advancement. However, components of strategic perspective and common fate were not significantly correlated with career advancement. Additionally, among the components of organizational intelligence, in the first step, application of knowledge and in the second step, desire to change were the best predicators of innovation management (which together could predict 28%). Background: Placenta previa (P.P) is a rare pregnancy complication where a placenta particularly or completely covers the internal cervical os thereby preventing normal vaginal delivery. This study was conducted to evaluate the relationship between repeated cesarean deliveries and subsequent development of placenta previa. Methods & Materials: This cross-sectional study was held in Imam Reza Hospital Kermanshah-Iran during 2008-2011. This study included all pregnant women with repeated cesarean sections while nullipara and patients with placenta previa without previous surgery were excluded. Diagnosis was made on ultrasound and at surgery. Results: among 2696 Women, 98 cases had P.P (3.63%). The mean age was 30 years, 76.5% (75 cases) had gravidity 2 and 3 and 87.8% (86 cases) had parity 1 - 3. Anterior location of placenta was 44.9% while posterior was 55.1%. 48% were complete P.P, 32.7% low lying P.P, 13.3% marginal P.P, and 6% Partial P.P. 26.5% of patients had history of abortion. 55.1% of patients had male fetus. There was an increase in frequency of placenta previa with just one previous C-section (74.5%). Frequency of accreta P.P 32% (n = 7), increta (14.3%, n = 3) and percreta 28% (n = 6). Among those who underwent emergency hysterectomy (21 cases) 23.8% cases had no abnormal placentation. 30.6% of newborns had birth weight < 2500 g. Conclusion: we concluded that patients with history of one pervious cesarean delivery had more Placenta previa and need to hysterectomy were more than those with history of 2 and 3 previous cesarean delivery. The most common type of abnormal placentation was accreta, percreta and increta respectively.

Study the effect of exercise on systolic pulmonary artery pressure in healthy subjects

Introduction: As no data is available concerning the cut-off value defining abnormal pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) response in subjects of various ages, the aim of this study is to assess physiological PASP response to exercise in healthy individuals of various ages. Material and methods: One hundred and twenty three healthy volunteers, aged 30 to 70 years, underwent Doppler echocardiographic measurements at rest and after treadmill exercise test. Pulmonary artery systolic pressure was estimated at rest, and immediately after peak exercise using Bernoulli formula (four times tricuspid valve regurgitation velocity squared adding an estimated right atrial pressure). Results: Lower and upper limits of PASP during rest was 7 and 28 mmHg and after peak exercise was 14 and 48 mmHg respectively. After exercise, PASP increased from rest (14 ± 4 mmHg) to peak (25 ± 7 mmHg). Pulmonary artery systolic pressure during rest and peak exercise, increased with age, but has no correlation with body mass index or gender. Conclusion: Pulmonary artery systolic pressure at peak exercise can frequently reach values ≥ 30 mmHg in healthy individuals with good exercise capacity, especially in elderly individuals, which goes beyond pathologic definitions of pulmonary hypertension.

The leaves ofLaurus nobilis were collected in the middle of four seasons （spring, summer, autumn, and winter） to determine the best harvesting time for obtaining the highest oil yield, 1,8-cineole and polyphenol content and antioxidant activity. After drying the plant materials in shade, their EOs （essential oils） were obtained by hydro-distillation method. Analysis of variance showed harvesting time had significant effect on the oil yields of L. nobilis. Seventy one components were identified in the oils of L. nobilis with 1, 8-cineole （5.7%-42.6%）, ot-terpinyl acetate （3.2%-13.1%）, sabinene （2.3%-12.0%）, beta-elemene （0.2%-17.7%） and （E）-caryophyllene （0.2%-16.9%） as the main constituents in different seasons. The predominant phenolic constituents in L. nobilis were cinnamic acid, carvacrol, quercetin and coumarin, respectively. Gallic acid, catechin, caffeic acid, chloregenic acid, p-Comaric acid and rutin were not detected in any seasons. The best antioxidant activity was in spring （268.6μg/mL） and the lowest one was in winter （702.1μg/mL）.

Poincare plots are commonly used to study the non-linear behavior of physiological signals. In the time series analysis, the width of Poincare plots can be considered as a criterion of short-term variability in signals. The hypothesis that Poincare plot indexes of electroencephalogram (EEG) signals can detect dy-namic changes during meditation was examined in sixteen healthy women. Therefore, the aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of different lags on the width of the Poincare plots in EEG signals during meditation. Poincare plots with six different lag (1-6) were constructed for two sets of data and the width of the Poincare plot for each lag was calculated. The results show that during meditation the width of Poincare plots tended to increase as the lag increased. The Poincare plot is a quantitative visual tool which can be applied to the analysis of EEG data gathered over relatively short time periods. The simplicity of the width of Poincare plot calculation and its' adap-tation to the chaotic nature of the biological signals could be useful to evaluate EEG signals during me-ditation.
