Delineation of groundwater potential zones using remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems(GIS)in Kadaladi region,Southern India

The primary objective of this research is to delineate potential groundwater recharge zones in the Kadaladi taluk of Ramanathapuram,Tamil Nadu,India,using a combination of remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems(GIS)with the Analytical Hierarchical Process(AHP).Various factors such as geology,geomorphology,soil,drainage,density,lineament density,slope,rainfall were analyzed at a specific *** layers were evaluated for quality and relevance using Saaty's scale,and then inte-grated using the weighted linear combination *** weights assigned to each layer and features were standardized using AHP and the Eigen vector technique,resulting in the final groundwater potential zone *** AHP method was used to normalize the scores following the assignment of weights to each criterion or factor based on Saaty's 9-point ***-wise matrix analysis was utilized to calculate the geometric mean and normalized weight for various *** groundwater recharge potential zone map was created by mathematically overlaying the normalized weighted *** layers indicating major elements influencing groundwater occurrence and recharge were derived from satellite images.2 Results indicate that approximately 21.8 km of the total area exhibits high potential for groundwater *** recharge is viable in areas with moderate slopes,particularly in the central and southeastern regions.

In this present study,hydrotalcite(HT) implanted Ce-BTC metal organic frameworks(MOFs) abbreviated as HT-CeMOFs were developed for rapid fluoride *** microscopic properties of the prepared HT-CeMOFs material were studied with different characterization *** identify the fluoride adsorption route,the batch experiments such as pH,dosage,adsorption time,interfering anions,initial ion concentration,selectivity,temperature and pHzpcstudies were portrayed towards fluoride removal by *** utmost defluoridation capacity(DC) of HT-CeMOFs is found to be 4662 mg/(F·kg).Fluoride adsorption route onto HT-CeMOFs is followed by Langmuir isotherm and pseudo-second-order with intraparticle diffusion *** removal by HT-CeMOFs is spontaneous with endothermic *** mechanism of HT-CeMOFs towards fluoride is followed by electrostatic interaction,ion-exchange and *** regeneration and field exploration of HT-CeMOFs towards fluoride adsorption were performed and their results reveal that the HT-CeMOFs are regenerable and more suitable at field conditions.

介绍了铁皮坑开挖中测斜仪监测和三维有限元反分析的结果。所研究的铁皮坑为深度27 m、总直径26 m的圆形深基坑,最终开挖面以上土层以砂土为主。每个开挖阶段采用腰梁加固的咬合桩作为挡土墙对基坑进行支护。采用硬化土模型作为土体本构模型,反分析结果表明,桩墙位移的趋势与测斜仪测量的结果接近,最大位移为5.1mm。案例中胶结土的有效黏聚力c′取决于胶结砂层的厚度,约为50~200kPa。NSPT为标准贯入试验中分离式取样器打入土体30cm的锤击数。模拟结果表明,砂土模量约为1 400NSPT~2 000NSPT(单位:k Pa),而对于胶结砂,其模量为7 000NSPT。还研究了腰梁和外部荷载对咬合桩变形和受力的影响。结果表明,外部荷载对桩墙位移具有主导作用;同时,腰梁对减少桩墙位移没有明显作用。

An facile and efficient protocol for the synthesis of 13‐aryl‐indeno[1,2‐b]naphtha[1,2‐e]pyran‐ 12(13H)‐ ones has been developed that proceeds via the one‐pot three‐component sequential reaction of an aromatic aldehyde with β‐naphthol and 2H‐indene‐1,3‐dione under solvent‐free conditions in the presence of a poly(4‐vinylpyridinium)hydrogen sulfate(P(4‐VPH)HSO4) catalyst. The catalyst can be reused several times, making this procedure facile, practical, and sustainable. The simple experimental procedure, solvent‐free reaction conditions, use of an inexpensive catalyst, short react time, and excellent yields are some of the major advantages of this methodology.

This article presents an innovative method of bio-mediated soil improvement for increasing the shear strength of loose *** improvement is realized by mixing the loose sand with the inoculum of Rhizopus oligosporus,a kind of fungus widely used in food industry for making Indonesian *** objective of this article is to investigate the performance and mechanism of mixing tempeh inoculum as a binding agent of loose sand *** inoculum dosage,water content of loose sand,and curing time were examined for identifying the increment of unconfined compressive strength(q_u)of the *** results showed that q_u of the treated samples increased when the inoculum dosage was *** shows that 5.24%inoculum could yield 68 kPa of q_u,and 5%water content and 3 d curing time produced the maximum q_***,the mechanism of hypha and mycelium in binding the soil particles was clearly observed using a digital microscope and scanning electron microscope.

Objective: To investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of the protein derived from the soluble factor of Heligmosomoides polygyrus(H. polygyrus) excretory-secretory in a colitis ***: Colitis was induced by providing drinking water containing 3% dextran sodium sulfate(DSS) for a week. DSS was administrated in a cycle protocol, each cycle consisted of 7 days of 3% DSS in the drinking water and followed by 7 days of regular water. This study consisted of five treatment groups, including Groups A(control)received untreated water, B(DSS only, without excretory-secretory), and C–E injected(i.p.) with excretory-secretory protein(H. polygyrus excretory-secretory total, excretorysecretory 28 k Da and excretory-secretory 55 k Da, respectively). Mice received injection every week. The injection of excretory-secretory was started from the 6th weeks and continued until 11 weeks. At the end of 11 weeks of the experiment, mice were sacrificed,colon tissue was removed and then subjected to sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, flow cytometry, real-time PCR and histology ***: Mice received H. polygyrus excretory-secretory 55 k Da reduced mono-nuclear cell infiltrations. H. polygyrus excretory-secretory 55 k Da induced the down-regulation of m RNA interferong expression. There were significant differences in the expression of m RNA interferon in the colon of mice after the administration of the excretory-secretory55 k Da protein fraction compared with other groups(P < 0.001), whereas m RNA transforming growth factorb expression up regulated in the colon of mice after the administration of the excretory-secretory 55 k Da protein fraction compared with total excretory-secretory group(P < 0.05). The treatment of colitis in mice with excretorysecretory 55 k Da protein fractions modulated interleukin-10(IL-10) expression,whereas excretory-secretory total and excretory-secretory 28 k Da protein fractions insufficient promoted IL-10 expression.

A series of pyrano[4,3‐b]pyran derivatives have been synthesized in excellent yields by the reaction of aromatic aldehydes with malononitrile or cyanoacetate and 4‐hydroxy‐6‐methylpyran‐2‐one in water at 80 °C, with the transformation being catalyzed by an aqueous solution of thiourea dioxide(TUD). Upon completion of the reaction, the product was isolated by filtration or extraction and the remaining aqueous TUD solution could be reused several times without any discernible impact on its catalytic activity. This procedure offers several advantages over existing procedures, including high yields, operational simplicity, the use of a non‐toxic catalyst and solvent, short reaction time and minimum pollution of the environment, making it a useful and attractive process for the preparation of pyrano[4,3‐b]pyran derivatives.

Dear editor,Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) is the commonestvasculitis in children, typically affecting children agedthree to ten years.[1] It is a multi-systemic vasculitismediated by type III hypersensitivity with deposition ofimmunoglobulin. An immune complex-mediated vasculitisaffects small vessels of the skin, joints, kidneys, andgastrointestinal (GI) tracts. HSP is usually a self-limitingcondition and resolves within six to eight weeks.[1]

Severe acute pancreatitis is commonly associated with pancreatic and extrapancreatic necrosis(EPN).Progressive EPN leading to necrotizing fasciitis of the retroperitoneum and abdominal wall has been ***,extension of retroperitoneal necrosis to the scrotum causing Fournier’s gangrene is *** present a case of 39-year-old male admitted with severe acute pancreatitis requiring prolonged mechanical *** was managed with percutaneous drainage and culture specific antibiotics during the 1st month of hospital *** the 3rd month of hospital stay,the patient started developing pain and ulceration over the *** was diagnosed with Fournier’s gangrene based on clinical examination and was planned for *** surgery,the track extending up to the deep inguinal ring was widened and drain was placed into the right lateral pelvic wall through the deep ring via a separate stab incision to reduce further scrotal wound *** case highlights a rare but potentially fatal complication of Fournier’s gangrene following severe acute necrotizing pancreatitis and the importance of measures to prevent further contamination of scrotum after surgical *** management of two potentially fatal conditions poses numerous challenges.
