Fermented chili products are popular traditional fermented foods around the world. However， differences in microbial communities in fermented chilies from different regions and how they affect the flavor compounds in chili fermentation have not been reported. In this study， the dynamics of flavor compounds and microbial communities in fermented chilies from Sichuan， Guizhou， and Hunan were systematically investigated by macro-genome sequencing， solid phase microextraction-gas chromatograph-mass spectrometry (SPME-GC-MS)， electronic nose， and electronic tongue techniques. Simultaneously， the microbial metabolic mechanisms and the relationship between flavor compounds and microbiome were unraveled through staged and simulated fermentation analysis. The results showed that 53 chemical odorants， including alcohols， esters， aldehydes， and acids， were identified as chemical markers to differentiate the regional samples. Twelve microbial species， including Staphylococcus xylosus， Unclassified staphylococcus species， Weissella confusus， Lactococcus cremoris， Lactococcus garvieae， Lactiplantibacillus sakei， Pediciococcus propionicigenes， Pediciococcus idahonensis， Pediciococcus aciditolerans， Nocardioides antri， Debaryomyces hansenii， and Colletotrichum scovillei， were identified as microbial markers to differentiate the regional samples. Correlation analysis showed that Lactobacillaceae was associated with fruity， floral， spicy， and fatty aromas. The electronic nose and tongue analysis results showed that 9 flavor and 8 taste indicators significantly differed between regional samples (P < 0.05). Additionally， flavor compounds and microbial diversity were robust under initial selection stress and showed higher diversity under metabolome-microbiome interactions. Importantly， simulated fermentation confirmed that metabolome-microbiome interactions drove the shift in microbial structure， metabolism， and flavor in regionally fermented chilies. The motion of mono-disperse spherical steel particles in a vibration driven quasi-two-dimensional （2D） square cell is studied. The cell is horizontally vibrated to eliminate the effect of gravity compaction. The velocity distributions at different particle number densities are studied and found to obey the form exp[-β（｜Vy｜/σy）α], in which Vy and （σy are velocity and its variance in the transverse direction, and α and β are fitting parameters. The value of α is found to decrease with the number density of particles increasing. To investigate the effect of the bottom plate, the molecular dynamics simulation without considering any bottom friction is performed. The accordance between the simulation result and the experimental result shows that the influence of bottom plate friction force on the high energy tail of the velocity distribution can be neglected.

Wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)exhibits a greater capacity for cadmium(Cd)absorption compared to other cereal crops,leading to elevated daily Cd intake,and posing a signiﬁcant threat to public *** the mitigation of Cd stress in sustainable and environmentally friendly way,a pot study was designed by using exogenous application of various biostimulants,i.e.,Nigella sativa and Ocimum sanctum extracts:0%,10%,and 20%in combination with the chelating agent ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(EDTA)using 0 and 5 mg kg^(-1) under various levels of Cd stress(i.e.,0,5,10,and 15 mg kg^(-1) soil).Results revealed that Cd stress signiﬁcantly reduced the seed emergence,growth,root,and allometric characters and yield-related parameters of wheat *** most observable reduc-tion was documented in wheat plants exposed to a higher Cd concentration(15 mg kg^(-1)),followed by the lower Cd level(control).The combined application of bio-stimulants and EDTA minimized the negative impacts of Cd *** highest increase in seedling emergence(5.44%),leaf area(50.60%),number of tillers(31.02%),grain yield per plant(24.28%),biological yield(13.97%),and decrease in Cd levels in grains(40%)was noticed where 20%foliar application of *** and 10%of *** biostimulants were done using 5 mg kg^(-1) of soil-applied *** intervention demonstrated a notable reduction in Cd-induced negative effects,highlighting the potential of these substances in promoting sustainable wheat cultivation in contaminated ***,it is an eco-friendly and approachable method at theﬁeld level able to ensure food safety.
