Increasing demand for energy due to the populous Eastern Australia has driven oil and gas industries to find new sources of hydrocarbons as they are the primary energy *** study has been done on the Volador Formation in the Gippsland Basin by means of core-based petrophysical,sedimentological,and petrographic analyses as well as well log-based interpretation and capillary pressure *** wells from Kipper,Basker and Tuna fields with available dataset were investigated in this study:Kipper-1,Basker-1,Basker-2,Basker-5 and ***,the formation has good reservoir quality based on the high porosity and permeability values obtained through core and well log petrophysical *** formation made up of mostly moderate to coarse quartz grains that has experienced strong anti-compaction and is poorly *** and illite clays are seen dispersed in the rock formation,with the minority being mixed *** clays and diagenetic features including kaolinite cement and quartz overgrowth that can lead to porosity reduction only have insignificant impact on the overall reservoir *** addition,capillary pressure data shows that most samples are found in the transition to good reservoir zones(<50%saturation).The results obtained from this study have shown that the Volador Formation in the Gippsland Basin is worth for hydrocarbon exploration.

The ability to automatically recognize sheep breeds holds significant value for the sheep *** farmers often require breed identification to assess the commercial worth of their ***,many farmers specifically the novice one encounter difficulties in accurately identifying sheep breeds without experts in the ***,there is a need for autonomous approaches that can effectively and precisely replicate the breed identification skills of a sheep breed expert while functioning within a farm environment,thus providing considerable benefits the industry-specific to the novice farmers in the *** achieve this objective,we suggest utilizing a model based on convolutional neural networks(CNNs)which can rapidly and efficiently identify the type of sheep based on their facial *** approach offers a cost-effective *** conduct our experiment,we utilized a dataset consisting of 1680 facial images which represented four distinct sheep *** paper proposes an ensemble method that combines Xception,VGG16,InceptionV3,InceptionResNetV2,and DenseNet121 *** the transfer learning using this pre-trained model,we applied several optimizers and loss functions and chose the best combinations out of *** classification model has the potential to aid sheep farmers in precisely and efficiently distinguishing between various breeds,enabling more precise assessments of sector-specific classification for different businesses。

Concrete is the most widely utilized material for construction purposes,second only to water,in the ever-increasing need for construction *** is a brittle material and possesses a high risk of crack formation and consequent ***,which allows chemicals to enter and can cause concrete structures to lose their physico-mechanical and durability *** and rehabilitating concrete structures involves high costs and leads to various repair methods including coating,adhesives,polymers,supplementary cementitious materials(SCMs),and *** of the latest technologies is the use of microorganisms in *** added microorganisms lead to calcite precipitation and thereby heal the cracks *** study presents a comprehensive literature survey on bacteria-included concrete,before which a bibliographic survey is performed using VOSViewer *** addition to regular bacterial concrete,this study focuses on also using SCMs and fibers in bacterial concrete.A detailed literature review with data representation for various mechanical properties including compressive strength(CS),split tensile strength(SS),and flexure strength(FS),along with durability properties including carbonation,water absorption,resistance against chloride ion penetration,gas permeation,and resistance against cyclic freeze-and-thaw is presented.A study on the use of X-ray computed tomography(XCT)in bacterial concrete is highlighted,and the scope for future research,along with identification of the research gap,is presented.

Effectiveness of hybrid ensemble machine learning models for landslide susceptibility analysis:Evidence from Shimla district of North-west Indian Himalayan region

The Indian Himalayan region is frequently experiencing climate change-induced ***,landslide susceptibility assessment assumes greater significance for lessening the impact of a landslide *** paper makes an attempt to assess landslide susceptibility in Shimla district of the northwest Indian Himalayan *** examined the effectiveness of random forest(RF),multilayer perceptron(MLP),sequential minimal optimization regression(SMOreg)and bagging ensemble(B-RF,BSMOreg,B-MLP)models.A landslide inventory map comprising 1052 locations of past landslide occurrences was classified into training(70%)and testing(30%)*** site-specific influencing factors were selected by employing a multicollinearity *** relationship between past landslide occurrences and influencing factors was established using the frequency ratio *** effectiveness of machine learning models was verified through performance *** landslide susceptibility maps were validated by the area under the receiver operating characteristic curves(ROC-AUC),accuracy,precision,recall and *** key performance metrics and map validation demonstrated that the BRF model(correlation coefficient:0.988,mean absolute error:0.010,root mean square error:0.058,relative absolute error:2.964,ROC-AUC:0.947,accuracy:0.778,precision:0.819,recall:0.917 and F-1 score:0.865)outperformed the single classifiers and other bagging ensemble models for landslide *** results show that the largest area was found under the very high susceptibility zone(33.87%),followed by the low(27.30%),high(20.68%)and moderate(18.16%)susceptibility *** factors,namely average annual rainfall,slope,lithology,soil texture and earthquake magnitude have been identified as the influencing factors for very high landslide *** texture,lineament density and elevation have been attributed to high and moderate ***,the study calls for devising suitable landslide mitig

The captivating surge of energy transitions in the major industrialized nations has elevated the global demand for critical *** demand pattern has enabled mineral-abundant emerging economies like Indonesia to enter the international market by exporting mineral ***,we investigate the Indonesian mineral export supply's response to the renewable energy production of the 18 clean energy-generating countries,considering crude oil and mineral prices,exchange rates,and economic growth of the resource and importer countries from 1990 to *** doing so,we apply the Poisson Pseudo-maximum Likelihood(PPML)approach to measuring the panel gravity model for mineral exports in *** a result,we observe a significant response of Indonesia's mineral export supply to the renewable energy generation of the 18 mineral importing ***,mineral and crude oil prices are insignificant,whereas the importer countries'exchange rates and income growth positively influence Indonesia's mineral export ***,Indonesia's income factor negatively affects its mineral export ***,we validate our results using an alternative estimator,the Driscoll-Kraay robust standard error estimation ***,our findings suggest implementing Indonesia's existing mineral policy to produce finished mineral goods to materialize the worldwide vision of energy transitions toward a crossroad of net-zero emissions by the middle of the current century.

As the world becomes ever more connected,the chance of pandemics increases as *** recent COVID-19 pandemic and the concurrent global mass vaccine roll-out provides an ideal setting to learn from and refine our understanding of infectious disease models for better future *** this review,we systematically analyze and categorize mathematical models that have been developed to design optimal vaccine prioritization strategies of an initially limited *** older individuals are disproportionately affected by COVID-19,the focus is on models that take age explicitly into *** lower mobility and activity level of older individuals gives rise to non-trivial *** research questions concern the optimal time interval between vaccine doses and spatial vaccine *** review showcases the effect of various modeling assumptions on model outcomes.A solid understanding of these relationships yields better infectious disease models and thus public health decisions during the next pandemic.

In this research,we introduce a comprehensive epidemiological model that accounts for multiple strains of an infectious disease and two distinct vaccination *** stands out as the most effective means to prevent and manage infectious ***,when there are various vaccines available,each with its costs and effectiveness,the decision-making process for individuals becomes ***,the factor of waning immunity following vaccination also plays a significant role in influencing these *** understand how individuals make decisions in the context of multiple strains and waning immunity,we employ a behavioral model,allowing an epidemiological model to be coupled with the dynamics of a decision-making *** base their choice of vaccination on factors such as the total number of infected individuals and the cost-effectiveness of the *** findings indicate that as waning immunity increases,people tend to prioritize vaccines with higher costs and greater ***,when more contagious strains are present,the equilibrium in vaccine adoption is reached more ***,we delve into the social dilemma inherent in our model by quantifying the social efficiency deficit(SED)under various parameter combinations.

Escalating cyber security threats and the increased use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices require utilisation of the latest technologies available to supply adequate protection. The aim of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) is to prevent malicious attacks that corrupt operations and interrupt data flow, which might have significant impact on critical industries and infrastructure. This research examines existing IDS, based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for IoT devices, methods, and techniques. The contribution of this study consists of identification of the most effective IDS systems in terms of accuracy, precision, recall and F1-score; this research also considers training time. Results demonstrate that Graph Neural Networks (GNN) have several benefits over other traditional AI frameworks through their ability to achieve in excess of 99% accuracy in a relatively short training time, while also capable of learning from network traffic the inherent characteristics of different cyber-attacks. These findings identify the GNN (a Deep Learning AI method) as the most efficient IDS system. The novelty of this research lies also in the linking between high yielding AI-based IDS algorithms and the AI-based learning approach for data privacy protection. This research recommends Federated Learning (FL) as the AI training model, which increases data privacy protection and reduces network data flow, resulting in a more secure and efficient IDS solution. © 2024 The Authors. We obtain an exact solution for spherically symmetric Letelier AdS black holes immersed in perfect fluid dark matter(PFDM).Considering the cosmological constant as the positive pressure of the system and volume as its conjugate variable,we analyze the thermodynamics of our black holes in the extended phase *** to the background clouds of strings parameter(a)and the parameter endowed with PFDM(β),we analyze the Hawking temperature,entropy,and specific ***,we investigate the relationship between the photon sphere radius and phase transition for the Letelier AdS black holes immersed in *** the analysis,with a particular condition,non-monotonic behaviors are found between the photon sphere radius,impact parameter,PFDM parameter,temperature,and *** can regard the changes in both the photon sphere radius and impact parameter before and after phase transition as the order parameter;their critical exponents near the critical point are equal to the same value,1/2,similar to that in ordinary thermal *** indicates that a universal relation of gravity may exist near the critical point for a black hole thermodynamic system.
