Nanocomposite films consisting of carboxymethyl cellulose,polyethylene oxide(CmC/PEO),and anatase titanium diox-ide(TO)were produced by the use of sol-gel and solution casting ***2 nanocrystals were effectively incorporated into CmC/PEO polymers,as shown by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and attenuated total reflectance fourier transform infrared(ATR-FTIR)*** roughness growth is at high levels of TO nanocrystals(TO NCs),which means increasing active sites and defects in CmC/*** differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)thermograms,the change in glass transition temperature(Tg)val-ues verifies that the polymer blend interacts with TO *** increment proportions of TO NCs have a notable impact on the dielectric performances of the nanocomposites,as *** electrical properties of the CmC/PEO/TO nanocomposite undergo significant *** nanocomposite films exhibit a red alteration in the absorption edge as the concentration of TO NCs increases in the polymer *** decline in the energy gap is readily apparent as the weight percentage of TO NCs *** photoluminescence(PL)emission spectra indicate that the sites of the luminescence peak maximums show slight variation;peaks get wider,while their intensities decrease dramatically as the concentration of TO *** nanocomposite materials show potential for multifunctional applications including optoelectronics,antireflection coatings,pho-tocatalysis,light emitting diodes,and solid polymer electrolytes.

Assessment of plant diversity of endemic species of the Saharo-Arabian region in Egypt

Savanna, semi-deserts, and hot deserts characterize the Saharo-Arabian region, which includes morocco, mauretania, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Palestine, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, southern Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and northern India. Its neighboring regions, the Sudano-Zambezian region belonging to the Paleotropical Kingdom and the mediterranean and Irano-Turanian regions included in the Holarctic Kingdom, share a large portion of their flora with the Saharo-Arabian region. Despite the widespread acknowledgment of the region's global importance for plant diversity, an up to date list of the Saharo-Arabian endemics is still unavailable. The available data are frequently insufficient or out of date at both the whole global and the national scales. Therefore, the present study aims at screening and verifying the Saharo-Arabian endemic plants and determining the phytogeographical distribution of these taxa in the Egyptian flora. Hence, a preliminary list of 429 Saharo-Arabian endemic plants in Egypt was compiled from the available literature. Indeed, by excluding the species that were recorded in any countries or regions outside the Saharo-Arabian region based on different literature, database reviews, and websites, the present study has reduced this number to 126 taxa belonging to 87 genera and 37 families. Regarding the national geographic distribution, South Sinai is the richest region with 83 endemic species compared with other eight phytogeographic regions in Egypt, followed by the Isthmic Desert(the middle of Sinai Peninsula, 53 taxa). Sahara regional subzone(SS1) distributes all the 126 endemic species, Arabian regional subzone(SS2) owns 79 taxa, and Nubo-Sindian subzone(SS3) distributes only 14 endemics. Liver stiffness as a predictor of hepatocellular carcinoma behavior in patients with hepatitis C related liver cirrhosis

Background: Risk strati cation and prognostication of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) help to improve patient outcome. Herein we investigated the role of liver stiffness measurement (LSm) in the prediction of HCC behavior. methods: Totally 121 na ve patients with HCC were included. HCC radiological evaluation and staging were done. LSm was measured using virtual touch quanti cation. Patients were divided into early to intermediate HCC (BCLC-0, A and B) and late HCC (BCLCC and D). HCC was treated according to the BCLC stage. HCC recurrence-free interval was estimated. Results: The mean LSm inside the tumor was signi cantly lower than the peri-tumoral area and the cirrhotic non-cancerous liver parts (Pmean LSm inside the tumor and in the peri-tumoral tissue was lower than the corresponding values in the early to intermediate HCCs stage (Pm inside the tumor and in the peri-tumoral tissue negatively correlated with serum AFP, tumor vascular invasion, and stage (Pm inside the tumor and inversely to LSm in cirrhotic non tumorous liver part. Kaplan-meier analysis showed that the recurrence-free interval was signi cantly longer in patients with LSm inside the tumor of ≥1.25m/s compared to those with LSm inside the tumor ofm/s. Conclusions: LSm can serve as a potential non-invasive predictor for HCC clinical behavior and the recurrence-free interval following loco-regional treatments.

Water is the most essential natural resource for the future *** production is extensively water-dependent and a significant polluter of water ***,this work investigated the effect of two different preparation media[Bold’s Basal medium(BBm)and Domiati cheese whey(DCW)]for agricultural drainage water(ADW)*** treatments were incubated for 6 *** to the results of biomass productivity,specific growth rate,photosynthetic pigments,and biochemical composition,Desmodesmus *** grow in drainage water without *** two treatments significantly reduced the concentration of nitrate,phosphate,chemical oxygen demand,and sodium in ***,using cheese whey with BBm as inoculum preparation media enhanced the lipid accumulation in the algal biomass(25.4%w/w)and gave the best biodiesel properties among ***,combining remediation of drainage water with microalgae mass production can achieve the sustainability of agriculture.

This paper is dedicated to implementing and presenting numerical algorithms for solving some linear and nonlinear even-order two-point boundary value *** this purpose,we establish new explicit formulas for the high-order derivatives of certain two classes of Jacobi polynomials in terms of their corresponding Jacobi *** two classes generalize the two celebrated non-symmetric classes of polynomials,namely,Chebyshev polynomials of third-and *** idea of the derivation of such formulas is essentially based on making use of the power series representations and inversion formulas of these classes of *** derived formulas serve in converting the even-order linear differential equations with their boundary conditions into linear systems that can be efficiently ***,and based on the first-order derivatives formula of certain Jacobi polynomials,the operational matrix of derivatives is extracted and employed to present another algorithm to treat both linear and nonlinear two-point boundary value problems based on the application of the collocation *** analysis of the proposed expansions is *** numerical examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the proposed algorithms.
