Extraction of protein from churpi of yak milk origin:Size reduction,nutraceutical potential and as a wall material for resveratrol

Resveratrol is a known anti-oxidant and anti-cancer *** low bioavailability and poor water solubility of resveratrol is a major barrier that restricts its usage in food *** overcome these problems,the study presents micro and nano encapsulation of resveratrol in casein micelles extracted from Himalayan cheese(Churpi).Resveratrol loaded casein microparticles(CS-rm)were obtained using emulsion-freeze ***,resveratrol loaded casein nanoparticles(CS-rn)were obtained using *** were characterized using dynamic light scattering(DLS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and attenuated total reflectance-fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR).DLS revealed hydrodynamic diameter of 71.24μm and 387.023 nm and zeta potential of-22.62 and-28.08 mV for CS-rm and *** confirmed the characteristic peaks of resveratrol at 965.4,1380.86,1586.66 and 1607 cm-1 confirmed successful micro and ***-rm displayed high encapsulation efficiency(52.32%)and swelling power(77.90 at pH 3 and 68.65 at pH 7.5)than *** micro and nanoencapsulation protected resveratrol in gastric conditions,however,CS-rn showed high release of resveratrol then CS-rm in simulated intestinal *** anti-oxidant and anti-cancer activity of resveratrol under simulated gastric and intestinal conditions(SGID)was significantly higher(p≤0.05)for CS-rn,showing that nanoencapsulation improved release and nutraceutical profile of *** loaded nano and micro casein particles can be used a source of fortified protein supplement in growing food and nutraceutical industry.

Geomorphological responses of rivers to active tectonics along the Siwalik Hills,Midwestern Nepalese Himalaya

The Nepalese Himalaya is well known for ongoing collisional tectonics,witnessed by major historical and recent *** Siwalik Hills in Midwestern Nepalese Himalaya are bounded by eastwest trending Main Frontal Thrust(MFT)to the south and the Main Boundary Thrust(MBT)to the *** area is dissected by numerous southwest to south-flowing bedrock *** study investigates geomorphic metrics of these rivers to unravel landscape evolution and active tectonics of the Siwalik *** Elevation Model(DEM)analysis was conducted to extract structural lineaments and longitudinal river profile and their metrics(knickpoints,Normalized Steepness Index(ksn),concavity index,and chi integral)using steam powerlaw *** of the lineaments trend eastwest like *** profiles exhibit convex to double-concave shapes with upstream-propagating tectonic knickpoints that separate upstream and downstream reaches,indicating different phases of river *** spatial distribution of ksn shows high values along with low concavity values at the eastern part of the study area,reflecting disequilibrium conditions that are likely responding to a high uplift *** integral distribution shows a variation in drainage divide migration between the eastern and western parts of the study *** study suggests that the rivers in the Siwalik Hills are undergoing active incision likely related to the ongoing uplift and active deformation associated with the Himalayan *** above findings can bring fresh perspectives to comprehend the neotectonic deformation and lateral variability along the Siwalik Hills landscapes within the Himalaya.

In this work,a techno-economic study for the solvent based extraction of methacrylic acid from an aqueous solution is *** involved phase equilibrium calculations in process design are verified by measured experimental ***,experiments are conducted with different solvent candidates to measure LLE(liquid–liquid equilibrium)data and to establish the effects of extraction temperature and dosage of ***,the binary interaction parameters for the UNIQUAC model to be used for equilibrium calculations are fine-tuned with measured ***,a process for the solvent based extraction of methacrylic acid recovery is designed and verified through simulation with the regressed UNIQUAC model *** optimal configuration of the process flowsheet is determined by minimizing the total annualized *** the three solvent candidates considered-cyclohexane,hexane and toluene-the highest efficiency and the lowest total annualized cost is found with toluene as the solvent.

Deep Learning Based Classification of Wrist Cracks from X-ray Imaging

Wrist cracks are the most common sort of cracks with an excessive occurrence *** the routine detection of wrist cracks,conventional radiography(X-ray medical imaging)is used but periodically issues are presented by crack *** cracks often appear in the human arbitrary bone due to accidental injuries such as ***,many hospitals lack experienced clinicians to diagnose wrist ***,an automated system is required to reduce the burden on clinicians and identify *** this study,we have designed a novel residual network-based convolutional neural network(CNN)for the crack detection of the *** the classification of wrist cracks medical imaging,the diagnostics accuracy of the RN-21CNN model is compared with four well-known transfer learning(TL)models such as Inception V3,Vgg16,ResNet-50,and Vgg19,to assist the medical imaging technologist in identifying the cracks that occur due to wrist *** RN-21CNN model achieved an accuracy of 0.97 which is much better than its competitor`s *** results reveal that implementing a correct generalization that a computer-aided recognition system precisely designed for the assistance of clinician would limit the number of incorrect diagnoses and also saves a lot of time.

The data center network(DCN), which is an important component of data centers, consists of a large number of hosted servers and switches connected with high speed communication links. A DCN enables the deployment of resources centralization and on-demand access of the information and services of data centers to users. In recent years, the scale of the DCN has constantly increased with the widespread use of cloud-based services and the unprecedented amount of data delivery in/between data centers, whereas the traditional DCN architecture lacks aggregate bandwidth, scalability, and cost effectiveness for coping with the increasing demands of tenants in accessing the services of cloud data centers. Therefore, the design of a novel DCN architecture with the features of scalability, low cost, robustness, and energy conservation is required. This paper reviews the recent research findings and technologies of DCN architectures to identify the issues in the existing DCN architectures for cloud computing. We develop a taxonomy for the classification of the current DCN architectures, and also qualitatively analyze the traditional and contemporary DCN architectures. Moreover, the DCN architectures are compared on the basis of the significant characteristics, such as bandwidth, fault tolerance, scalability, overhead, and deployment cost. Finally, we put forward open research issues in the deployment of scalable, low-cost, robust, and energy-efficient DCN architecture, for data centers in computational clouds.

Therapeutic interventional endoscopic ultrasound in pancreatobiliary disorders:Does it really replace the surgical/percutaneous approach?

Pancreato-biliary disorders are still incredibly challenging in the field of gastroenterology,as they would sometimes require multi-approach interventional ***,therapeutic interventional endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)has emerged as a potential alternative to surgical or percutaneous ***,considering the high cost of EUS,lack of facility and expertise,most gastroenterologists still often refer cases to undergo surgical interventions without contemplating the possibility of utilizing EUS ***-guided biliary drainage has become one of the best choices for establishing access to biliary system,given the clear visualization of pancreas,gallbladder,and common bile *** there are still only a few studies which directly compare EUSguided and surgical approaches for biliary drainage,current evidence demonstrated the superiority of EUS-guided approach in terms of adverse events and reintervention rates,with similarly high technical and clinical success rates compared to percutaneous and surgical approaches,especially in patients with history of failed endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography *** success rates with shorter length of hospital stay between endoscopic and surgical approaches have also been exhibited for pancreatic pseudocysts and walled-off *** findings about the progress of EUS approach in gastroenterostomy/jejunostomy also indicated a promising potential of EUS,as a less invasive approach,for managing gastric outlet obstruction.

There is a great thrust in industry toward the development of more feasible and viable tools for storing fast-growing volume, velocity, and diversity of data, termed ＇big data＇. The structural shift of the storage mechanism from traditional data management systems to NoSQL technology is due to the intention of fulfilling big data storage requirements. However, the available big data storage technologies are inefficient to provide consistent, scalable, and available solutions for continuously growing heterogeneous data. Storage is the preliminary process of big data analytics for real-world applications such as scientific experiments, healthcare, social networks, and e-business. So far, Amazon, Google, and Apache are some of the industry standards in providing big data storage solutions, yet the literature does not report an in-depth survey of storage technologies available for big data, investigating the performance and magnitude gains of these technologies. The primary objective of this paper is to conduct a comprehensive investigation of state-of-the-art storage technologies available for big data. A well-defined taxonomy of big data storage technologies is presented to assist data analysts and researchers in understanding and selecting a storage mecha- nism that better fits their needs. To evaluate the performance of different storage architectures, we compare and analyze the ex- isling approaches using Brewer＇s CAP theorem. The significance and applications of storage technologies and support to other categories are discussed. Several future research challenges are highlighted with the intention to expedite the deployment of a reliable and scalable storage system.

Detecting and Mitigating DDOS Attacks in SDNs Using Deep Neural Network

Distributed denial of service(DDoS)attack is the most common attack that obstructs a network and makes it unavailable for a legitimate *** proposed a deep neural network(DNN)model for the detection of DDoS attacks in the Software-Defined Networking(SDN)*** centralizes the control plane and separates it from the data *** simplifies a network and eliminates vendor specification of a *** of this open nature and centralized control,SDN can easily become a victim of DDoS *** proposed a supervised Developed Deep Neural Network(DDNN)model that can classify the DDoS attack traffic and legitimate *** Developed Deep Neural Network(DDNN)model takes a large number of feature values as compared to previously proposed Machine Learning(ML)*** proposed DNN model scans the data to find the correlated features and delivers high-quality *** model enhances the security of SDN and has better accuracy as compared to previously proposed *** choose the latest state-of-the-art dataset which consists of many novel attacks and overcomes all the shortcomings and limitations of the existing *** model results in a high accuracy rate of 99.76%with a low false-positive rate and 0.065%low loss *** accuracy increases to 99.80%as we increase the number of epochs to 100 *** proposed model classifies anomalous and normal traffic more accurately as compared to the previously proposed *** can handle a huge amount of structured and unstructured data and can easily solve complex problems.
