Study on Epidemiological Profile, Clinical Profile, and Angiographic Patterns in Acute Coronary Syndrome Patients in a Tertiary Health Care Center in Haryana

Background: Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in India, with coronary artery disease (CAD) accounting for a majority of the deaths. There are few large registries on acute coronary syndrome (ACS) from India. Our aim is to study the clinical and epidemiological profile of ACS PATIENTS presenting to our institute, including their angiographic features. Methods: This hospital-based observational, single tertiary care center, prospective study was conducted on patients admitted in the Department of Cardiology at a tertiary care center in Haryana. The study included 400 patients aged greater than 18 years who were admitted with the diagnosis of ACS, and it was carried out for 1 year. The epidemiological profile, clinical history, risk factors, electrocardiogram findings, and angiographic pattern were studied and analyzed with appropriate statistical tools. Results: The mean age of the study population was 55.12 ± 11.78 years. Male and female ratio was 2.4:1. The majority of the patients came from rural background (80%);24% of the patients were illiterate. Smoking was the most common risk factor (51.5%) in our study population followed by hypertension (40%) and diabetes (28%). Unstable angina was the most common type of ACS, which was found in 68.25% of patients. Premature CAD was found in 27.8% of patients and obstructive CAD was found in 63% of patients. Coronary angiography revealed that 39% had single vessel disease (SVD), 23.5% had double vessel disease (DVD), and 27.5% had triple vessel disease (TVD). LAD was more commonly involved, followed by RCA and LCX. Within the first 24 hours, 67% of patients sought medical assistance and only 38.5% received definitive treatment, suggesting a delay in seeking definitive treatment in our study population. Estimation of composite load model with aggregate induction motor dynamic load for an isolated hybrid power system

It is well recognized that the voltage stability of a power system is affected by the load model and hence, to effectively analyze the reactive power compensation of an isolated hybrid wind-diesel based power system, the loads need to be considered along with the generators in a transient analysis. This paper gives a detailed mathematical modeling to compute the reactive power response with small voltage perturbation for composite load. The composite load is a combination of the static and dynamic load model. To develop this composite load model, the exponential load is used as a static load model and induction motors （IMs） are used as a dynamic load model. To analyze the dynamics of IM load, the fifth, third and first order model of IM are formulated and compared using differential equations solver in Matlab coding. Since the decentralized areas have many small consumers which may consist large numbers of IMs of small rating, it is not realistic to model either a single large rating unit or all small rating IMs together that are placed in the system. In place of using a single large rating IM, a group of motors are considered and then the aggregate model of IM is developed using the law of energy conservation. This aggregate model is used as a dynamic load model. For different simulation studies, especially in the area of voltage stability with reactive power compensation of an isolated hybrid power system, the transfer function AQ/AV of the composite load is required. The transfer function of the composite load is derived in this paper by successive derivation for the exponential model of static load and for the fifth and third order IM dynamic load model using state space model.

Greenhouse technology is a practical option for the production and drying of agricultural products in controlled environment. For the successful design of a greenhouse, the selection of a suitable shape and orientation is of great importance. Of various shapes of greenhouses, the even-span roof and the Quonset shape greenhouses are the most commonly used for crop cultivation and drying. The orientation of greenhouses is kept east-west for maximum utilization of solar radiations. Hybrid and modified greenhouse dryers have been proposed for drying of products. The agricultural products dried in greenhouses are found to be better in quality as compared to open sun drying because they are protected from dust, rain, insects, birds and animals. Moreover, various greenhouses shapes along with their applications have been reviewed.

Multiple splenic infarcts in acute Plasmodium vivax malaria:A rare case report

In tropical countries like India,malaria has been one of the most common parasitic illnesses leading to frequent hospitalization and causing major economic burden among the masses. Although Plasmodium vivax infection is considered to be benign,in contrast to Plasmodium, falciparum infection which is notorious for its severe splenic complications can occur frequently. Splenomegaly tends not to receive special attention,as it is not usually accompanied by any symptoms and can be gradually resolved via standard antimalarial *** infarction, although rarely attributable to malaria in an endemic region with high parasitemia,can be a rare presentation of this disease entity.

Cosmological Constant Dominated Transit Universe from the Early Deceleration Phase to the Current Acceleration Phase in Bianchi-V Spacetime

We present the transition of the universe from the early decelerating phase to the current accelerating phase with viscous fluid and time-dependent cosmological constant (A) as a source of matter in Bianchi- V *** study the transit behaviour of the universe,we assume the scale factor as an increasing function of time,which generates a time-dependent deceleration parameter (DP).The study revesls that the cosmological term does not change its fundamental nature for ε =const and ε =ε(t),where ε is the coefficient of bulk *** A(t)is found to be positive and is a decreasing function of *** same behavior was observed during recent supernovae *** physical behaviour of the universe is discussed in detail.

No-Reference Blur Assessment Based on Re-Blurring Using Markov Basis

Blur is produced in a digital image due to low passfiltering,moving objects or defocus of the camera lens during *** viewers are annoyed by blur artefact and the image's perceived quality suffers as a *** high-quality input is relevant to communication service providers and imaging product makers because it may help them improve their ***-based blur assessment is time-consuming,expensive and must adhere to subjective evaluation *** paper presents a revolutionary no-reference blur assessment algorithm based on reblurring blurred images using a special mask developed with a Markov basis and *** blur score of blurred images has been calculated from the local variation in horizontal and vertical pixel intensity of blurred and re-blurred *** objective scores are generated by applying proposed algorithm on the two image databases i.e.,Laboratory for image and video engineering(LIVE)database and Tampere image database(TID 2013).Finally,on the basis of objective and subjective scores performance analysis is done in terms of Pearson linear correlation coefficient(PLCC),Spearman rank-order correlation coefficient(SROCC),Mean absolute error(MAE),Root mean square error(RMSE)and Outliers ratio(OR).The existing no-reference blur assessment algorithms have been used various methods for the evaluation of blur from no-reference image such as Just noticeable blur(JNB),Cumulative Probability Distribution of Blur Detection(CPBD)and Edge Model based Blur Metric(EMBM).The results illustrate that the proposed method was successful in predicting high blur scores with high accuracy as compared to existing no-reference blur assessment algorithms such as JNB,CPBD and EMBM algorithms.

An easy, safe, solvent free and effective method for the synthesis of pyrazole-substituted chalcones has been achieved by grinding pyrazole aldehydes and acetophenones in the presence of activated barium hydroxide （C-200） in high yield within short span of time. All reactions were carried out just by grinding the two reactants in the presence of activated barium hydroxide （C-200）. Results are also compared with sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide.
