The style of active tectonic on the deformation and characterization of fluvial landscape has been investigated on three typical skrike-slip fault zones of the Ajay-Damodar Interfluve（ADI） in Eastern India through field mapping,structural analysis and examination of digital topography（ASTER-30 m）,multispectral imageries,and Google Earth images,Channel morphology in Quaternary sediment is more deformed than Cenozoic lateritic tract and igneous rock system by the neotectonic activities,The structural and lithological controls on the river system in ADI region are reflected by distinct drainage patterns,abrupt change in flow direction,offset river channels,straight river lines,ponded river channel,marshy lands,sag ponds,palaeo-channels,alluvial fans,meander cutoffs,multi-terrace river valley,incised compressed meander,convexity of channel bed slope and knick points in longitudinal profile,Seven morphotectonic indices have been used to infer the role of neotectonic on the modification of channel morphology,A tectonic index map for the ADI region has been prepared by the integration of used morphotectonic indices,which is also calibrated by Bouguer gravity anomaly data and field investigation.

The mechanical performance of knitted fabric was significantly affected by loop density and geometries. Knitted fabric composites occupy a special position in the field of engineering materials because of their easy to form complex components and high impact energy absorption. But Knitted fabric composites have low in-plane tensile strength because the yarns are in a loop structure in the materials. Sound insulation requirements in automobiles, manufacturing environments, and equipment, generating higher sound pressure drive the need to develop more efficient and economical ways of producing sound absorption materials. The knitted fabric based acoustic materials were produced from cut wastes from different garment industries for their sound absorption property test as per the method described in ASTM E 1050. The acoustic performance of knitted fabrics was measured by independent tube methods for sound waves of 1000-6000 Hz. It is observed that the knitted fabrics acoustic materials prepared from waste materials showed high sound absorption than woven fabrics made from the same synthetic fibers. Moreover, the test revealed that blended knitted fabric had a better sound absorption property.

A partial wave scattering matrix for the total effective complex potential of nucleus nucleus collisions is proposed to easily analyze the angular variations of elastic scattering and fusion cross-sections simultaneously with a unique *** expectation value of the imaginary part of the potential calculated using the distorted waves from the full potential in the elastic channel accounts for σ_(r).This is equated to the sum of the cross-sections due to absorption in different regions of the potential where the imaginary part is actively *** potential is taken as energy independent and features a weakly absorbing nature,which supports the resonance states in various partial wave ***,these resonances show oscillatory behavior changes with respect to energy D(E_(c.m.))=d^(2)(E_(c.m.)σ_(fus))/dE_(c.m.)^(2).In this paper,we discuss elastic scattering and fusion cross-sections in conjunction with the results of D(E_(c.m.))for the^(16)+^(92)Zr system.

Prospects of utilization of waste dumped low-grade limestone for iron making: A case study

Low grade dumped limestone sample having high silica of 8.1%, 36.8% CaO, and 3% Al2O3 has been studied with the aim to reduce the silica level to below 3% for its utilization in iron making. Beneficiation study of the sample was initiated with desliming of the feed sample of -100 μm to remove the siliceous ultrafine particles and to improve the feed quality. Flotation study was carried out by column flotation technique varying the collector dosage, superficial air flow velocity and froth depth to assess their effect on silica reduction and CaO recovery. It was observed that increased collector dosage and superficial air velocity increases the recovery of CaO, and increase in the froth depth reduces the mass flow and silica content in the concentrate. The best result was found at 1.25 cm/sec superficial air velocity, 25 cm froth depth, 1.25 kgpt collector dosage and concentrate assayed 47.3% CaO, 2.8% silica with 72% CaO recovery.

A review of concurrent infections of malaria and dengue in Asia

Concurrent infections of malaria and dengue are when both of these mosquito-borne diseases occur simultaneously in an individual. In this review, reported cases with these co-infections in Asia are discussed. The focus is on the overlapping clinical presentations and the difficulties encountered in differential diagnosis. Also, cases reported in some special conditions, viz., pregnancy, foetal infections, and co-infections with one or more other infectious agents are highlighted. Due to similar clinical presentations of malaria and dengue, these co-infections may give rise to an incorrect diagnosis. Moreover, the treatment regimens for these co-infections are not the same as those for ***, a delay in implementing the appropriate treatment regimen for these concurrent infections due to poor diagnosis can be fatal. The present review is intended to increase awareness about the clinical significance and the importance of these co-infections among clinicians, public health workers and health authorities in the Asian region. Though malaria-dengue concurrent infections are seldom reported from the Asian region, it is probably increasing particularly in the countries known to be endemic for both of the above diseases. A compulsory reporting of the incidences of malaria-dengue concurrent infections is recommended.

Using the multipoles method,we formulate the problems of water wave radiation(both heave and surge)by a submerged circular cylinder in water with an ice-cover,the ice-cover being modelled as an elastic plate of very small *** leads to an infinite system of linear equations which are solved numerically by standard *** added-mass and damping coefficients for a heaving and surge problems are obtained and depicted graphically against the wave number for various values of flexural rigidity of the ice-cover to show the effect of the presence of ice-cover on these *** the flexural rigidity and surface density of ice-cover are taken to be zero,the ice-cover tends to free-surface then the curves for added-mass and damping coefficients exactly coincide with the curves for the case of water with free *** it is observed that the added-mass and damping coefficients for the two modes of motion are here also the same.

Platinum Difluoride: A Theoretical and Computational Based Study

Platinum on reaction with halogen forms three halides viz., platinum (II) chloride, platinum (II) bromide and platinum (II) iodide, except platinum (II) fluoride. In this research work, the not existence of PtF2 has been studied theoretically. For this thermodynamic, valence bond theory and molecular orbital theory based study have also been performed on this molecule. In order to obtain minimum energy structure we optimized the geometry of this halide by opting AM1 for thermodynamic work and EHT for population analysis. All the calculations were performed on CAChe software. The thermodynamic study supported the presumption of disproportion reaction: 2PtF2 →Pt + PtF4. V.B.T showed sd-hybridization rather than sp-hybridization. This was supported by our data as evaluated theoretically by adopting Landis concept, which showed negligible contribution of 5s-orbital of platinum. Mulliken’s population analysis based studies have pointed that the overlap is very poor due to the dis-similarity of energy of combining orbitals of Pt and F atom. The ΣΦ is very small that is 0.2. This also proved that PtF2 failed to match the criteria of overlapping and thus MOT too. Using eigenvalues and population analysis MO diagram has also been drawn, which clearly supported non-existence of PtF2 in nature but its existence in situ and thus also supported the presumption of disproportionation reaction.

Enrichment of carbon recovery of high ash coal fines using air fluidized vibratory deck separator

Coal is primarily beneficiated by wet gravity methods. The wet processing of coal is an efficient practice. However, it introduces the moisture in the range of 6%–15%, depending upon the size of coal which is as detrimental as ash content to the heating value of coal. Dry beneficiation of coal fines was carried out using an air fluidized vibrating table in which the coal particles get separated from the heavier mineral particles as a result of horizontal and vertical stratification. Two level factorial design matrix was used to optimize and assess the interactive effects of the operational parameters of a pneumatic table viz. deck eccentric, side tilt and air flow rate on the clean coal yield and its ash content. Double stage processing was found to be more effective for reducing the ash content of the clean coal. Initial stage of processing at a higher ash level generates a reject of high ash with low combustibles. Cleaning of the rougher concentrate at 34%–35% ash level shows significant improvement in the organic efficiency (88.6%) and useful heat value of clean coal (15690 kJ/kg). The performance of air fluidized vibrating deck was measured by E p value which is 0.18.
