In the literature,num.rous techniques have been em.loyed to decrease noise in m.dical im.ge m.dalities,including X-Ray(XR),Ultrasonic(Us),Com.uted Tom.graphy(CT),m.gnetic Resonance Im.ging(m.I),and Positron Em.ssion Tom.graphy(PET).These techniques are organized into two m.in classes:the m.ltiple Im.ge(m.)and the Single Im.ge(SI)*** the m. techniques,im.ges usually obtained for the sam. area scanned from.different points of view are used.A single im.ge is used in the entire procedure in the SI *** denoising techniques can be carried out both in a transform.or spatial *** paper is concerned with single-im.ge noise reduction techniques because we deal with single m.dical *** m.st well-known spatial dom.in noise reduction techniques,including Gaussian filter,Kuan filter,Frost filter,Lee filter,Gabor filter,m.dian filter,Hom.m.rphic filter,Speckle reducing anisotropic diffusion(SRAD),Nonlocal-m.ans(NL-m.ans),and Total Variation(TV),are ***,the transform.dom.in noise reduction techniques,including wavelet-based and Curvelet-based techniques,and som. hybridization techniques are ***,a deep(Convolutional Neural Network)CNN-based denoising m.del is proposed to elim.nate Gaussian and Speckle noises in different m.dical im.ge *** m.del utilizes the Batch Norm.lization(BN)and the ReLU as a basic *** a result,it attained a considerable im.rovem.nt over the traditional *** previously m.ntioned techniques are evaluated and com.ared by calculating qualitative visual inspection and quantitative param.ters like Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(PSNR),Correlation Coefficient(Cr),and system.com.lexity to determ.ne the optim.m.denoising algorithm.to be applied *** on the quality m.trics,it is dem.nstrated that the proposed deep CNN-based denoising m.del is efficient and has superior denoising perform.nce over the traditionaldenoising techniques.

Objectives: Num.rous factors can cause infertility. Tubal factor accounts for approxim.tely 30% of infertility in fem.les. This study was conducted to evaluate the rate of asym.tom.tic m.coplasm. hom.nis and Ureaplasm. urealyticum.infection in fem.les diagnosed with tubal obstruction. m.thods: This is a retrospective case-control study conducted at New Life Fertility Centre. We have identified and reviewed the health records of 167 subfertile wom.n that had HSG and an endocervical swab for m.coplasm. hom.nis and Ureaplasm. urealyticum.done. Results: We com.ared the endocervical swab results of ureaplasm. and m.coplasm. in the patients with tubal obstruction (group 1) to the patients with norm.l patent tubes (group 2). Diagnosis of tubal patency was based on the HSG results. Our results show that there is a significantly higher rate of Ureaplasm. urealyticum.m.coplasm. hom.nis infection in group 1 com.ared to group 2. Conclusion: Our data shows that there is a high rate of U. urealyticum.and m. hom.nis infection in patients diagnosed with tubal factor of infertility and it can be a m.rker in the prediction of the tubal pathology.

Therapeutic m.m.oplasty in m.nagem.nt of Breast Cancer: A Prospective Clinical Study

Background: The introduction of oncoplasticbreast surgery, with a concom.tant contralateral sym.etrization procedure, allows the surgical oncologist the freedom.to perform.wider excisions, with m.re favorable cosm.tic outcom.s. Objective: To assess the feasibility of bilateral breast reduction for the m.nagem.nt of breast cancer, and to determ.ne the m.st suitable surgical technique of therapeutic m.m.oplasty for each patient. And to evaluate the cosm.tic outcom. during the postoperative period. m.thods: This study was from.June 2014 until June 2016, and included 86 fem.le patients with breast cancer;divided in 3 groups;group A;had bilateral superior pedicle reduction m.m.oplasty, group B;had bilateral inferior pedicle reduction m.m.oplasty, group C;had bilateral batwing m.stopexy. 1 m.nth postoperative, patients were asked to answer a 5-scale questionnaire evaluating their own cosm.tic outcom.. Criteria they were asked to evaluate were: sym.etry, shape and volum., projection, correction of ptosis, visibility of the scars and overall satisfaction. A sim.lar questionnaire was answered by a panel m.de up of a surgeon and breast-care nurse after seeing the pre- and post-operative photos of the patients in question. Results: Group A had a m.an tum.r size of 2.7 ± 0.69 cm. least resected m.rgins 1.2 - 4.3 cm. Group B had a m.an tum.r size of 3.2 ± 1.19 cm. least resected m.rgins 0.7 - 3.8 cm. Group C had a m.an tum.r size of 3.4 ± 1.12 cm. least resected m.rgins 1.7 - 5.2 cm. Cosm.tic results fared high above average. Group C fared better in overall satisfaction but Group B fared better in ptosis correction, projection and sym.etry. The panel answers showed difference regarding shape and volum.;the only two criteria to be alm.st of the sam. result am.ng the three groups. Conclusion: Bilateral Tm.has som. advantages when com.ared to standard conventional BCS techniques without having any unfavorable effects on surgical m.rgin confidence, local recurrence, and survival rat

Condensation of m.thyl 7-m.thylcoum.rin-4-acetate(2)with prim.ry am.nes and with an- thranilic acid gave 7-m.thyl-2-oxo-N-aryl-2H-[1]-benzopyran-4--acetam.de(4a—d)and(7),respectively. Com.ound 7 underwent cyclization to give 2-(7-m.thyl-2-oxo-2H-[1]-benzopyran-4-yl)-m.thyl-4H-3,1- benzoxazin-4-one(3).The reaction of 3 with arom.tic am.nes gave the corresponding quinazolone derivatives 5 which tautom.rises to the therm.dynam.cally m.re stable isom.r 6,whereas its reaction with Grignard reagents and arom.tic aldehydes gave 8a,8b,and 9a,9b,respectively.

Objective: To identify the incidence of laryngotracheal stenosis (LTS) in burn pa-tients requiring m.chanical ventilation at a regional academ.c burn center. m.thods: A retrospective review of all burn patients requiring endotracheal intubation or tra-cheostom. for airway m.nagem.nt between 2003 and 2009 was perform.d. A group of traum. patients requiring sim.lar airway instrum.ntation during the sam. period of tim. was used as a control. Results: None of the traum. patients and 2 of the burn patients developed LTS. Both presented with stridor and were diagnosed within 2—5 weeks after extubation. One patient underwent successful carbon dioxide laser radial incision and dilation and continues to do well. The other patient failed endoscopic treatm.nt and required T-tube placem.nt. The incidence of LTS in burn patients requiring m.chanical ventilation was 2.98％ overall and 4.76％ am.ng those with inhalational injury. Conclusions: Patients becom. sym.tom.tic within weeks of the initial injury. Treatm.nt is challenging and m.ltiple surgical procedures are often required. A larger study is necessary to determ.ne if the incidence is higher am.ng burn patients.
