Oxidative degradation of sunflower oil blended with roasted sesame oil during heating at frying temperature

The efficacy of roasted sesame oil(SO)on the oxidation deterioration of sunflower oil(SFO)during heating was *** concentrations of SO in the SFO were 0,10%,20%,and 30%by *** oxidation profile of oil samples was monitored by evaluating the generation of oxidation products and chemical alterations in the oils'composition during heating at frying temperature(180℃).The results showed that the oxidation parameters(free fatty acid,peroxide value,p-anisidine value,total oxidation status,thiobarbituric acid value,and color index)increased significantly in SFO compared to blends or SO during thermal *** heating,the concentration of polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA)was reduced with increased level of saturated fatty acids;these results were observed more in SFO than those of SO or blend ***,the presence of SO in SFO reduced the decomposition of *** Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy,the peak intensities were significantly altered in SFO compared to the blend oils during *** on the most analytical data,it may be agreed that the heating at frying temperature led to the generation of relatively higher contents of oxidative products in SFO compared to blend oils,showing a lower degree of oxidation occurred in *** best frying performance for the SFO was achieved by using 30%SO extracted from the roasted sesame *** study showed the proper blending of high polyunsaturated oil with SO can produce oil blends with high nutritional values and enhanced stability for daily cooking and deep-frying applications.

Age at first marriage and its relation to fertility in Bangladesh

The 2007 Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey(BDHS)data are exploited to examine the effects of socioeconomic and demographic factors on age at first marriage linkage to reproductive behavior of Bangladeshi *** mean age at first marriage of women is found to be 15.48 *** logistic regression technique shows that place of residence,religion,region,wealth index,education,and occupation are significantly important factors for determining age at first *** relationship between marriage and fertility suggests that women who marry at a younger age produce more children than women who marry *** of this study show that if the age at first marriage of adolescents is increased by 1 year,the age at first birth is postponed by 0.728 *** the increase in age at first marriage,the fecundability of women sharply rises,whereas the proportion of temporary sterility *** there is a positive association between age at first marriage and age-specific marital fertility rates,the total parity per woman at the end of the reproductive period is expected to reduce by 0.196 for each 1-year delayed marriage.

STUDY OF MORPHOLOGICAL CHANGE OF THE KUSHIYARA AND MONU RIVERS BY REMOTE SENSING

The Kushiyara and Monu rivers are two of the major river systems in the northeast region of Bangladesh. Analyzing satellite images of the Kushiyara and Monu rivers between 1990 and 1997, it was found that significant changes occurred at five distinct locations; i.e., Ahmadpur, Monumukh, Raysrr, Kaprangibari and Telibil. The amount of change was measured as 168.34 ha by using a plani-meter. Transportation of sediment was the major contributing factor of morphological change. The total average sediment concentration of Kushiyara and Monu rivers was found to be 16889.6 ppm per year during the study period by applying the Engelund and Hansen equation approach. Protection work has been suggested at the vulnerable locations.

Study of cyanide removal from contaminated water using zinc peroxide nanomaterial

The present study highlights the potential application of zinc peroxide （ZnO2） nanomaterial as an efficient material for the decontamination of cyanide from contaminated water. A process patent for ZnO2 synthesis has been granted in United States of America （US Patent number 8,715,612; May 2014）, South Africa, Bangladesh, and India. The ZnO2 nanomaterial was capped with polyvinylpyrrolidone （PVP） to control the particle size. The PVP capped ZnO2 nanomaterial （PVP-ZnO2） before and after adsorption of cyanide was characterized by scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, X-ray diffractorneter, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and time of flight-secondary ion mass spectrom- etry. The remaining concentration of cyanide after adsorption by PVP-ZnO2 was determined using ion chromatograph. The adsorption of cyanide over PVP-ZnO2 was also studied as a function of pH, adsorbent dose, time and concentration of cyanide. The maximum removal of cyanide was observed in pH range 5.8-7.8 within 15 rain. The adsorption data was fitted to Langmuir and Fruendlich isotherm and it has been observed that data follows both the isotherms and also follows second order kinetics.

InSAR Observation for the Surface Displacements at Mt. Etna between 2003 and 2007

This research is mainly devoted to InSAR observations using Poly-Interferogram Rate and Time-series Estimator (π-rate) software to investigate continuous surface displacement at Mt. Etna (Sicily), Italy between 2003 and 2007. Using ascending and descending SAR images produced by European Space Agency’s ENVISAT, we generate a set of interferograms which are used to determine?the deformation history of Etna from 2003 to 2007. Using (π-rate), we can generate the InSAR?time-series and ratemap while minimizing errors induced by the satellites orbit and atmospheric?phase delays. During the period of 2003-2007, three separate eruptions were observed. In order to explain the deformation, we solve three displacement rate for 2003-2005, 2006 and 2007. As expected, the result suggests that displacement rates are not constant with respect to time. During 2006 the volcano appeared to switch from a period of deflation to a period of inflation. These results highlight the importance of InSAR for generating deformation time-series around Mt.?Etna, and with the application of numerical models these results can be used to estimate the?amount of magma moving in the subsurface.

Rheumatic heart disease(RHD)is a major cause of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in developing nations like *** commonly affects the mitral valve which is lined by a single layer of endothelial cells(ECs).The role of ECs in mitral valve damage during RHD is not well *** here,anti-endothelial cell antibody from RHD patients has been used to stimulate the ECs(HUVECs and HMVECs).ECs proinflammatory phenotype with increased expression of TNFa,IL-6,IL-8,IFNg,IL-1b,ICAM1,VCAM1,E-selectin,laminin B,and vimentin was documented in both *** promoter hypomethylation of various key inflammatory cytokines(TNFa,IL-6,and IL-8),integrin(ICAM1)associated with leukocyte transendothelial migration,and extracellular matrix genes(vimentin,and laminin)were also ***,the in-vitro data was in accordance with ex-vivo observations which correlated significantly with the etiological factors such as smoking,socioeconomic status,and ***,the study sheds light on the role of ECs in RHD which is a step forward in the elucidation of disease pathogenesis.

Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells （ADSCs） are a treatment cell source for patients with chronic liver injury. ADSCs are characterized by being harvested from the patient’s own subcutaneous adipose tissue, a high cell yield （ i.e. , reduced immune rejection res-ponse）, accumulation at a disease nidus, suppression of excessive immune response, production of various growth factors and cytokines, angiogenic effects, anti-apoptotic effects, and control of immune cells via cell-cell interaction. We previously showed that conditioned medium of ADSCs promoted hepatocyte proliferation and improved the liver function in a mouse model of acute liver failure. Furthermore, as found by many other groups, the administration of ADSCs improved liver tissue fbrosis in a mouse model of liver cirrhosis. A comprehensive protein expression analysis by liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry show-ed that the various cytokines and chemokines produced by ADSCs promote the healing of liver disease. In this review, we examine the ability of expressed protein com-ponents of ADSCs to promote healing in cell therapy for liver disease. Previous studies demonstrated that ADSCs are a treatment cell source for patients with chronic liver injury. This review describes the various cytokines and chemokines produced by ADSCs that promote the healing of liver disease.

Analysis of Damaged Silicon Rubber Hose

Recently, there have been many reports of silicon rubber (SR) hoses becoming brittle in juice factory within one month of purchase. The damage is a new phenomenon, and its cause is unknown. We have collected the damaged hoses attached to UHT sterilizer (ultra-high-temperature) in juice factory and examined them for chemical changes. In addition, we have analyzed the hose-washing chemicals (NaOH and HNO333) and the exposure UTH temperature have direct effect on the brittleness of the silicon hose in juice factory.

The First Born Triple Differential Cross-Section for Ionization of H(3P) by Electron Impact in the Asymmetric Coplanar Geometry

First Born triple differential cross sections (TDCS) for ionization of metastable 3P-state hydrogen atoms by electrons are calculated for various kinematic conditions in the asymmetric coplanar geometry. A multiple scattering theory is used in this study. The present results are compared with other existing related theoretical results for ionizations of hydrogen atoms from metastable 2S-state and 2P-state, showing a good qualitative agreement. There is no available theoretical study for ionization of metastable 3P-state hydrogen atoms by electrons. We are expecting that the present results provide a wide scope for further study of such ionization problems.
