Chemical vapor deposition has been the most-promising approach for growing large-area high-quality graphene films on planar substrates. Beyond the lateral growth, the synthesis of three-dimensional （3D） graphene has also been demon- strated recently on metal foams and insulating nanoparticles for exploring their applications in electrochemical electrodes. However, the existing approaches need either to prefabricate abundant starting substrates, or to construct porous frameworks for graphene growth. Herein, we report a straightforward, bioinspired strategy for growing large-quantity graphene flakes on cuttlebone substrates using the chemical vapor deposition （CVD） method. The separated graphene flakes from growth substrates are highly crystalline and layer-thickness controllable, outperforming the traditional chemically exfoliated graphene with few surface groups. Due to their inheriting the biomineral-derived morphology, the 3D graphene microstructures show a highly exposed and curved surface, which can load more MoSx（x ≥ 2） catalysts than other planar supports for highly efficient hydrogen generation. Briefly, the bioinspired approach is expected to achieve a reasonable balance between quality and quantity for graphene production, thus propelling its wide applications in energy storage and conversion devices.

Simultaneous pharmacokinetic assessment of cefadroxil and clavulanic acid in human plasma by LC-MS and its application to bioequivalence studies

A simple, rapid and selective liquid chromatography-atmospheric pressure chemical ionization-mass spectrometry （LC-APCI-MS） assay method has been developed and fully validated for the simultaneous quantification of cefadroxil （CF） and clavulanic acid （CA） in human plasma. Analytes and internal standard （IS） were extracted from human plasma by solid- phase extraction （SPE） technique using Sam prep （3 mL, 100 mg） extraction cartridge. The extracted samples were chromatographed on a reverse phase Cls column using a mixture of methanol： acetonitrile： 2 mM ammonium acetate （pH 3.5）（25：25：50, v/v/v） as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 0.8 mL/min. Quantification of the analytes and IS were carried out using single quadrupole LC-APCI-MS through selected-ion monitoring （SIM） at m/z 362 and m/z 198, for CF and CA, respectively. Method validation was performed as per the FDA guidelines and the results met the acceptance criteria. Plasma concentration of CF and CA followed by the oral administration of CF/CA （500/125 mg） pill to healthy male volunteers （n= 12） was measured. Area under plasma concentration-time curve from 0 to 12 h （AUC0-12 h） and 0 h extrapolated to infinity （AUC0-∞） were calculated. The ratio of AUC0-12 h/AUC0-∞ was found to be 〉 85% for all the subjects, as recommended by the FDA guidelines.

Classification and Review of Security Schemes in Mobile Computing

In this paper, we present the classification and review of security schemes in mobile computing system. We classify these schemes based on types the infrastructure used in the mobile computing system-Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET) and Mobile Agent model. Mobile Ad Hoc Networks are pervasive, ubiquitous and without any centralized authority. These unique characteristics, combined with ever-increasing security threats, demand solutions in securing ad hoc networks prior to their deployment in commercial and military applications. This paper reviews the prevailing mobile ad hoc network security threats, the existing solution schemes, their limitations and open research issues. We also explain the Intrusion detection and response technique as an alternate method to protect the MANET based mobile computing systems and their approaches. A literature review of important existing Intrusion Detection approaches and Intrusion Response Approaches for MANET is also presented. This paper also presents the limitations of existing Intrusion Detection and Response Approaches for MANET and open research issues in providing MANET security. With respect to Mobile Agent based mobile computing system, we have presented the classification of various types of security attacks in Mobile Agent based model and presented the security solutions for those type of attacks proposed by the various schemes and the open research issues in providing security for Mobile Agent based mobile computing system. Such classification enhances the understanding of the proposed security schemes in the mobile computing system, assists in the development and enhancement of schemes in the future and helps in choosing an appropriate scheme while implementing a mobile computing system.

An ordered set W of vertices of a graph G is called a resolving set, if all the vertices of G are uniquely determined by the vector of distances to the vertices in W. The metric dimension of G is the minimum cardinality of a resolving set of G. A resolving set W for G is fault-tolerant if W\{v} is also a resolving set, for each v in W, and the fault-tolerant metric dimension of G is the minimum cardinality of such a set. In this paper we determine the metric dimension and fault-tolerant metric dimension problems for the graphs of certain crystal structures.

FogQSYM: An Industry 4.0 Analytical Model for Fog Applications

Industry 4.0 refers to the fourth evolution of technology development,which strives to connect people to various industries in terms of achieving their expected outcomes ***,resource management in an Industry 4.0 network is very complex and *** manage and provide suitable resources to each service,we propose a FogQSYM(Fog—Queuing system)model;it is an analytical model for Fog Applications that helps divide the application into several layers,then enables the sharing of the resources in an effective way according to the availability of memory,bandwidth,and network *** follows theMarkovian queuing model that helps identify the service rates of the devices,the availability of the system,and the number of jobs in the Industry 4.0 systems,which helps applications process data with a reasonable response *** experiment is conducted using a Cloud Analyst simulator with multiple segments of datacenters in a fog application,which shows that the model helps efficiently provide the arrival resources to the appropriate services with a low response *** implementing the proposed model with different sizes of fog services in Industry 4.0 applications,FogQSYM provides a lower response time than the existing optimized response time *** should also be noted that the average response time increases when the arrival rate increases.

Isolation and characterization of tyrosinase produced by marine actinobacteria and its application in the removal of phenol from aqueous environment

The present study was focused on screening and characterization of tyrosinase enzyme produced by marine actinobacteria and its application in phenolic compounds removal from aqueous solution. A total of 20 strains were isolated from marine sediment sample and screened for tyrosinase production by using skimmed milk agar medium. Among 20 isolates, two isolates LK-4 and LK-20 showed zone of hydrolysis and these were taken for secondary screening by using tyrosiue agar medium. Based on the result of secondary screening LK-4 was selected for further analysis, such as tyrosinase assay, protein content and specific activity of the enzyme. The tyrosinase enzyme was produced in a SS medium and was partially purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation, dialysis and SDS PAGE. The isolate （LK-4） was identified as Streptomyces espinosus using 16S rRNA gene sequencing and named as ＂Streptomyces espinosus strain LK4 （KF806735）＂. The tyrosinase enzyme was immobilized in sodium alginate which was applied to remove phenolic compounds from water. The enzyme efficiently removed the phenolic compounds from aqueous solution within few hours which indicated that tyrosinasc enzyme produced by Streptomyces espinosus strain LK-4 can be potently used for the removal of phenol and phenolic compounds from wastewater in industries.

Cloud computing is touted as the next big thing in the Information Technology (IT) industry, which is going to impact the businesses of any size and yet the security issue continues to pose a big threat on it. The security and privacy issues persisting in cloud computing have proved to be an obstacle for its widespread adoption. In this paper, we look at these issues from a business perspective and how they are damaging the reputation of big companies. There is a literature review on the existing issues in cloud computing and how they are being tackled by the Cloud Service Providers (CSP). We propose a governing body framework which aims at solving these issues by establishing relationship amongst the CSPs in which the data about possible threats can be generated based on the previous attacks on other CSPs. The Governing Body will be responsible for Data Center control, Policy control, legal control, user awareness, performance evaluation, solution architecture and providing motivation for the entities involved.
