Analysing the combined effect of crystallographic orientation and grain refinement on mechanical properties and corrosion behaviour of ECAPed ZE41 Mg alloy

Two step equal channel angular pressing carried out on as cast ZE41 Mg alloy resulted in a remarkable grain *** compared to grain size of 46p.m in as cast sample,refinement upto 2.5^01 was achieved after 8th pass equal channel angular pressing(ECAP).The combined effect of crystallographic orientation and grain refinement was investigated by analysing the mechanical properties and corrosion behaviour of ZE41 Mg alloy using electron back scattered diffraction(EBsD).The first stage comprises of 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th passes at a processing temperature of 300℃while the 5th,6th,7th and 8th passes were ECAPed at 275℃in second *** mechanical properties of ZE41 Mg 158 yield tensile strength(YTs),230 ultimate tensile strength(UTs)and 7%elongation in as cast condition is enhanced to 236 YTs,295 UTs and 19.76%,respectively,after first stage *** yield tensile strength deteriorated due to the effect of texture predominating grain refinement during the second stage *** corrosion resistance of ZE41 Mg was significantly enhanced by ECAP and is inferred from electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIs)and potentiodynamic polarisation *** role of microstructure was minimal on corrosion behaviour of ZE41 Mg due to extra resistance when tested in 0M ***,the influence of grain refinement greatly influenced the improvement in corrosion resistance of ZE4I Mg rather than crystallographic orientation observed from *** contrast,the crystallographic orientation predominated the effect of grain refinement during ZE41 Mg corrosion in chloride containing(0.1 M and 1 M NaCl)*** the observation of results it is found that equal channel angular pressing has the dual advantage of improving mechanical properties and corrosion resista nee of ZE41 Mg alloy.

We assessed the global incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life years(DALYs) associated with various liver diseases, including alcohol-related liver disease(ALD), hepatitis B/C virus infections(HBV or HCV), liver cancer, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease(MAsLD), and other chronic liver diseases, from the 2019 Global Burden of Disease study. Additionally, we analyzed the global trends in hepatology research and drug development. From 2000 to 2019, prevalence rates increased for ALD, MAsLD and other liver diseases, while they decreased for HBV, HCV, and liver cancer. Countries with a high socio-demographic index(sDI) exhibited the lowest mortality rates and DALYs. The burden of liver diseases varied due to factors like sex and region. In nine representative countries, MAsLD,along with hepatobiliary cancer, showed highest increase in funding in hepatology research. Globally, the major research categories in hepatology papers from 2000 to 2019 were cancer, pathobiology, and MAsLD. The United states(U.s.) was at the forefront of hepatology research, with China gradually increasing its influence over time. Hepatologists worldwide are increasingly focusing on studying the communication between the liver and other organs, while underestimating the research on ALD. Cancer, HCV, and MAsLD were the primary diseases targeted for therapeutic development in clinical trials. However, the proportion of new drugs approved for the treatment of liver diseases was relatively low among all newly approved drugs in the U.s., China, Japan, and the European Union. Notably, there were no approved drug for the treatment of ALD in the world.

The demand for the exploration of ocean resources is increasing *** image data plays a significant role in many research *** this,the visual quality of underwater images is degraded because of two main factors namely,backscattering and ***,visual enhancement has become an essential process to recover the required data from the *** algorithms had been proposed in a decade for improving the quality of *** paper aims to propose a single image enhancement technique without the use of any external *** that,the degraded images are subjected to two main processes namely,color correction and image ***,veiling light and transmission light is estimated tofind the color required for *** light refers to unwanted light,whereas transmission light refers to the required light for color *** estimated outputs are applied in the scene recovery *** image obtained from color correction is subjected to a fusion process where the image is categorized into two versions and applied to white balance and contrast enhancement *** resultants are divided into three weight maps namely,luminance,saliency,chromaticity and fused using the Laplacian *** results obtained are graphically compared with their input data using RGB Histogram ***,image quality is measured and tabulated using underwater image quality measures.

Cooperative Localization and Tracking in Distributed Robot-sensor Networks

This paper addresses the problem of real-time position and orientation estimation of networked mobile robots in two-dimensional Euclidean space with simultaneous tracking of a rigid unknown object based on exteroceptive sensory information extracted from distributed vision systems. The sufficient and necessary conditions for team localization are proposed. A localization and object tracking approach based on statistical operators and graph searching algorithms is presented for a team of robots localized with het- erogeneous sensors. The approach was implemented in an experimental platform consisting of car-like mobile robots equipped with omnidirectional video cameras and IEEE 802.11b wireless networking. The experimental results validate the approach.

D2 analysis for estimating genetic divergence in different clones of Dalbergia sissoo

Genetic divergence was studied in selected 36 genotypes of Dalbergia sissoo Roxb. on the basis of seven morphological parameters. The divergence among genotypes was estimated by Mahalanobis method and genotypes were grouped into clusters by Tocher＇s method. All the genotypes were classified into seven distinct clusters on the basis of seven morphological traits. Cluster 1 was the largest with 25 genotypes followed by Cluster 2 （four genotypes）. Cluster 3, 5, 6 and 7 were the divergent clusters. The D2 analysis revealed that D2 value （39.42） between clone 5040 and clone 201 was recorded maximum. The intra-cluster distance ranged from 0.00 （Cluster 3, 5, 6 and 7） to 3.89 （Cluster 1）, the Cluster 3 （clone 33） was the most divergent cluster with maximum inter cluster distance （13.97） with the Cluster 7. By the divergence analysis, the parents for hybridization from diverse clusters could be selected for heterotic hybrids.

A novel reconfiguration of the solar array to enhance peak power and efficiency under partial shading conditions:experimental validation

Recent Progress in Deciphering the Biosynthesis of Aspartate-Derived Amino Acids in Plants

Plants are either directly or indirectly the source of most of the essential amino acids in animal diets. Four of these essential amino acids--methionine, threonine, isoleucine, and lysine--are all produced from aspartate via a well studied biosynthesis pathway. Given the nutritional interest in essential amino acids, the aspartate-derived amino acid pathway has been the subject of extensive research. Additionally, several pathway enzymes serve as targets for econom- ically important herbicides, and some of the downstream products are biosynthetic precursors for other essential plant metabolites such as ethylene and s-adenosylmethionine. Recent and ongoing research on the aspartate-derived family of amino acids has identified new enzyme activities, regulatory mechanisms, and in vivo metabolic functions. Together, these discoveries will open up new possibilities for plant metabolic engineering.

Estimation and Correction of Model Bias in the NAsA/GMAO GEOs5 Data Assimilation system:sequential Implementation

This study presents a simplified multivariate bias correction scheme that is sequentially implemented in the GEOs5 data assimilation system and compared against a control experiment without model bias correction. The results show considerable improvement in terms of the mean biases of rawinsonde observation-minus-background （OmB） residuals for observed water vapor, wind and temperature variables. The time series spectral analysis shows whitening of bias-corrected OmB residuals, and mean biases for rawinsonde observation-minus-analysis （OmA） are also improved. some wind and temperature biases in the control experiment near the equatorial tropopause nearly vanish from the bias-corrected experiment. Despite the analysis improvement, the bias correction scheme has only a moderate impact on forecast skill. significant interaction is also found among quality-control, satellite observation bias correction, and background bias correction, and the latter positively impacts satellite bias correction.

VLsI scaling methods and low power CMOs buffer circuit

Device scaling is an important part of the very large scale integration （VLsI） design to boost up the success path of VLsI industry, which results in denser and faster integration of the devices. As technology node moves towards the very deep submicron region, leakage current and circuit reliability become the key issues. Both are increasing with the new technology generation and affecting the performance of the overall logic circuit. The VLsI designers must keep the balance in power dissipation and the circuit＇s performance with scaling of the devices. In this paper, different scaling methods are studied first. These scaling methods are used to identify the effects of those scaling methods on the power dissipation and propagation delay of the CMOs buffer circuit. For mitigating the power dissipation in scaled devices, we have proposed a reliable leakage reduction low power transmission gate （LPTG） approach and tested it on complementary metal oxide semiconductor （CMOs） buffer circuit. All simulation results are taken on HsPICE tool with Berkeley predictive technology model （BPTM） BsIM4 bulk CMOs files. The LPTG CMOs buffer reduces 95.16% power dissipation with 84.20% improvement in figure of merit at 32 nm technology node. Various process, voltage and temperature variations are analyzed for proving the robustness of the proposed approach. Leakage current uncertainty decreases from 0.91 to 0.43 in the CMOs buffer circuit that causes large circuit reliability.
