A study was conducted to characterize the land use,biomass and carbon status of dry tropical forest in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh,India using satellite remote sensing data and GIS techniques in the year of *** main forest types observed in the area are Teak forest,mixed forest,degraded forest and Sal mixed *** aspect and slope of the sites influenced the forest vegetation types,biomass and carbon storage in the different *** standing volume,above ground biomass and carbon storage varied from 35.59 to 64.31 m^3·ha^-1,45.94 to 78.31 Mg·ha^-1,and 22.97 to 33.27 Mg·ha^-1,respectively among different forest *** highest volumes,above ground biomass and carbon storage per hectare were found in the mixed forest and lowest in the degraded *** total standing carbon present in the entire study area was 78170.72 Mg in mixed forest,81656.91 Mg in Teak forest,7833.23 Mg in degraded forest and 7470.45 Mg in Sal mixed forest,*** study shows that dry tropical forests of the studied area in Chhattisgarh are in growing stage and have strong potential for carbon sequestration.

A wireless ad-hoc network is a self-organized wireless network without fixed or backbone infrastructure. All nodes have routing capability and use peer-to-peer packet transmission or forward packets to other node using multi hop communication. Now days mobile ad-hoc networks are being used for different applications and traffics, so it require quality of service (QoS) support in routing protocol. In this paper, a modified QoS routing protocol using directional antenna has been proposed. High and normal priority can be assigned based on type of traffic. All the nodes in the path used by high priority flow are reserved as high priority flow for that flow and normal priority flow will avoid the paths used by high priority flows. If no disjoint paths are available, there may be two possibilities: Normal priority flows are blocked and other is, normal priority flows are allow using the coupled path with high priority flow. Blocking the normal priority flow, QoS routing protocol improves the performance of high priority flow. This concept may be use in emergency communication. Simulation results show that by assigning the priorities to flows, performance of high priority flows are improved and it will further improved by blocking the normal priority flow.

Telomere, the nucleoprotein structure at the end of eukaryotic linear chromosomes is indispensable for maintaining the genome stability. Telomeric DNA loss is apparent with each cell division, which marks an endpoint to the indefinite replication of the cell by causing replicative senescence that may lead to the programmed cell death. The loss of telomere is normal in cell division and as such after 20 - 40 divisions, telomere becomes too short to facilitate the capping function. Telomere uncapping or chromosomal free end causes a potential threat to the genomic stability and thus leads to the accumulation of chromosomal abnormalities that have been known to play a role in aging and cancer. Telomerase, the ribonucleoprotein complex, and its accessory proteins are required to maintain the telomere sequence. Telomerase plays a key role in maintaining the length of telomere by adding G-rich repeat sequences. Its activity has been found to be quite high in the gametes, stem cells and most importantly tumor cells. Almost 85% of tumor cells compensate for telomere loss aided by telomerase-associated protein complex and shelter in complex or telosome. However, 5% - 10% of the cells undergo telomerase-independent mechanism. This review presents the molecular view of the telomere and telomerase along with its associated complex structures. It also discusses its contrasting role in causing cellular senescence and promoting tumorigenesis.

BACKGROUND Diabetic foot ulcer(DFU) is a serious health issue of diabetes mellitus that affects innumerable people worldwide. Management and treatment of this complication are challenging, especially for those whose immune system is *** To discuss the plants and their parts used to heal DFU, along with the mode of their administration in diabetic *** The original articles on “the plants for the treatment of DFU” studied in clinical cases only were obtained from various bibliographic databases using different *** The search resulted in 22 clinical cases records with 20 medicinal plants belonging to 17 families on 1553 subjects. The fruits and leaves were the most preferentially used parts for DFU treatment, regardless of whether they were being administered orally or applied topically. Of the 20 medicinal plants, 19 reported their effectiveness in increasing angiogenesis, epithelialization, and granulation, thus hastening the wound-healing process. The efficacy of these botanicals might be attributed to their major bioactive compounds, such as actinidin and ascorbic acid(in Actinidia deliciosa), 7-O-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)-galactin(in Ageratina pichinchensis), omega-3-fatty acid(in Linum usitatissimum), isoquercetin(in Melilotus officinalis), anthocyanins(in Myrtus communis), and plantamajoside(in Plantago major).CONCLUSION The validation of mechanisms of action underlying these phytocompounds contributing to the management of DFU can aid in our better understanding of creating efficient treatment options for DFU and its associated problems.

Actinorhizal plants contain numerous antioxidants that may play a crucial role in preventing the formation of tumors.H-Ras p21,a member of the Ras-GTPase family,is a promising target to treat various kinds of *** in silico docking study was carried out to identify the inhibitory potential of compounds of these plants against H-Ras by using Discovery Studio 3.5 and by using Autodock *** studies revealed that four compounds,isorhamnetin-7-rhamnoside,quercetin-3-glucoside-7-rhamnoside（present in ***）,zeaxanthin,and translutein（present in ***） significantly bind with binding energies-17.1534,-14.7936,-10.2105 and-17.2217 Kcal/mol,respectively,even though they slightly deviate from Lipinski＇s ***,distribution,metabolism,excretion and toxicity（ADME/tox） analyses of these compounds and their stereoisomers showed that they were less toxic and *** them,isorhamntein-7-rhamnoside showed ***,these compounds can be further investigated in vivo to optimize their formulation and concentration and to develop potential chemical entities for the prevention and treatment of cancers.

We explored the possibility of using ionic liquids (ILs) as medium for efficient extraction of agarose via dissolution of red algae under varying conditions of heating or microwave irradiation. As compared to conventional methods, a very high extraction yield of good quality agarose (as high as 39 wt%) could be achieved depending upon the nature of used IL and applied experimental conditions. Purity of extracted agarose was confirmed from various spectral and analytical techniques, such as 1H and 13C NMR, FTIR, circular dichroism (CD), gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The physicochemical properties, such as gelling or melting temperature, viscosity and gel strength of extracted agarose hydrogels have been measured and compared with the agarose obtained from similar source reported in the literature. ILs were recovered after the extraction of agarose and were reused for further extraction experiments. % Recycling and extraction ability of recycled ILs in different cycles have been measured. The developed extraction process of utilizing ILs as medium is easy, simple and highly efficient as compared to the conventional methods of agarose extraction from algae.

The fuzzy method is proposed for ageing analysis of transformer. The fuzzy controller is used for various input and one output, strictly depends on the number of membership function and there rule base and the type of the defuzzification method. The ageing of transformers is influenced by short term and long term over loads, number and intensity of short circuits, incidence of lightning, and internal faults. The recent development of various techniques for detecting the incipient fault conditions have been improved to some extent;the life expectancy of transformers by resorting to corrective actions in time. The ageing behavior is likely to be different for different types of transformers. The life span of the transformer, thus depends initially on the design and quality of manufacture and later on service conditions and maintenance standard, these factors vary considerably and affect the useful span of service life which therefore needs to be taken into account for residual life assessment. During the natural ageing of transformers, the insulation of winding deteriorates. Cellulose insulation degrades due to heating or electrical breakdown which is dissolved in oil. Hence, the chemical analysis of the Transformer oil gives evidence of changes that are taking place in the winding insulation during operation. Deterioration in transformer cellulose decreases both its electrical and mechanical strength. In this paper a novel fuzzy based algorithm has been implemented on three samples of power transformer oil.
