High sodium causes hypertension: evidence from clinical trials and animal experiments

Hypertension is a cardiovascular disease affecting approximately one out of every seven people worldwide. High-sodium consumption has been generally accepted as a risk factor for developing hypertension. Today, global sodium consumption greatly exceeds guidelines recommended by all medical institutions. This review synthesizes the data of landmark mammalian and human studies which investigated the role of sodium in the pathogenesis of hypertension, along with modern studies questioning this relationship. Recent studies concerning the potential pathways by which high-sodium concentration induces hypertension were reviewed. Human trials and population studies revealed a strong correlation between high blood pressure and average dietary sodium; and animal studies found a dramatic reduction in vascular function in a variety of mammals treated with high-sodium diets. In spite of a few contrarian studies, we found overwhelming evidence that elevated sodium consumption could cause hypertension

Explaining fundamentals of application of cable bolting for a thick seam depillaring,this paper summarizes the results of field studies conducted during adoption of this approach in more than fifteen panels of Madhusudanpur 7 pit and incline *** 7.0 m thick Kajora top coal seam of this mine is developed on pillars along the floor horizon to an average height of 3.0 m,leaving a coal band of around 4.0 m along the *** of procured core samples showed that roof strata are easily caveable with a caveability index value of around 2000 *** caveable overlying strata and shallow depth of cover alleviated most of the expected strata mechanics problems of the thick seam ***,extraction of total thickness at shallow cover caused differential-subsidence and cracks on the *** manifestations were immediately tackled to avoid creation of a breathing path for spontaneous heating in the extracted area.

In the present study,organically modified Montmorillonite clay with polar moiety,the Cloisite 30B,is used for preparation of Hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene(HTPB)-clay nanocomposites(HCN)by dispersion of nanoclay in polymer matrix under high shear *** nanocomposites thus prepared are evaluated in composite propellants as inhibitor material for their functional *** inhibition formulations containing 5 wt%-15 wt%of nanoclay,with or without the conventional filler Sb2O3,were *** these formulations were evaluated for their physical,mechanical,thermal,and ablative *** rate and density of the compositions containing Cloisite 30B is around 23%and 5%lower respectively in comparison of the base *** capability of these compositions is twofold higher than that of base *** compositions have also been evaluated for their smoke generation tendency by measuring infra red(IR)attenuation in the wavelength range 1.3 mm e5.6 mm and 8 mme13 mm and thereby compared with the base *** corresponding results confirmed that the compositions containing Cloisite 30B as filler have much lower IR attenuation than compositions with conventional filler,*** of 5%Sb2O3 by nanoclay showed 8%reduction in IR attenuation rate which further reduced to 16%on replacement of 15%of *** bonding of HCN based inhibitors is also comparable or even better than conventional ***,the nanoclay composites with Cloisite 30B as filler exhibit all desirable properties of an inhibitor.

Background:Drug utilization evaluation(DUE)is defined by the World Health Organization(WHO)and focuses on the medical,social,and economic consequences of pharmaceutical marketing,distribution,prescribing,and usage in *** WHO recommends a physician to every 1000 *** to the recent data from the Health Ministry in 2019,in which 1.16 million doctors are of active population with just 80%,or 0.9 million,*** a result,a ratio of 0.68 doctors for every 1000 people,which is much below as per the WHO *** article describes history,types,WHO guidelines,need and purpose of ***:The main aim of this paper is to provide information about the rational use of medication in outpatient and inpatient department with special emphasis of *** also provides awareness directly to healthcare professionals,researchers,academicians,pharmacist and nurses to reduce the irrationality of ***:The method used to compile this review information gathered from websites,Google scholar,PubMed,Research gate,and studies published on DUE from july 20 to Oct 22 were included as source of ***:We studied more than 35 published study on DUE,that reveals most of the physicians prescribed branded drugs not generic drugs,but WHO prescribing indicator allows to prescribe generic drugs in the hospital pharmacy to maintain better inventory *** may also help to prevent pharmacist misunderstanding during ***:The use of generic prescription names avoids the possibility of medication product duplication and lowers patient *** is important to remember that incorrect medication prescriptions have impact on both patients and their family *** indicators identify irrational prescribing behaviours to make therapy more rational and cost-effective.

Complex renal calculi remain to be a challenge for the treating urologist due to sheer bulk and the technicalities *** nephrolithotomy(PCNL)remains the treatment modality of choice in dealing with these large and complex *** limiting factor in their treatment continues to be the need for using additional tracts or the use of flexible nephroscopy for complete stone *** systematic review focuses on the need for multi-tract PCNL for complex renal *** literature review was performed using PubMed database using the keywords“multiple tract PCNL”or“multiperc”.We identified original articles published on the usage of multiple tracts for stone clearance in renal calculi between january 2000 to October 2018,and the search was restricted to available literature in English language *** studies with n>20 were included for the final *** analyzed the technical efficacy with respect to the number of tracts and stages that were required for stone clearance,outcomes and complications,especially,procedural bleeding and post-procedure infective complications of multiple-tract PCNL for large burden renal *** is found to be safe,feasible and effective for the management of large burden complex renal calculi with respect to stone clearance and morbidity associated with the *** is cost effective and complete stone clearance as a single procedure is higher in comparison to flexible ureteroscopy and shockwave lithotripsy.

Objective: To evaluate the phenolic profile and antioxidant activity in vitro of peanut skin extract(PSE) and effect of PSE on characteristics of sheep patties during ***: PSE phenolic profile was evaluated in LC–MS analysis and by total phenolic content, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging capacity and ferric reducing/antioxidant power. Patties elaborated with sheep meat were packaged in modified atmosphere and storage at(2 ± 1)C. The analyses were performed every 5 days for 20 days on microbial counts, physico-chemical properties, lipid oxidation, protein stability and sensory ***: The major group of phenolic compounds in PSE was the proanthocyanidins followed by other flavonoids, which are related to potential phenolic content and antioxidant activity. The addition of PSE and butyl hydroxytoluene(BHT) reduced the microbial counts during the storage time, caused reduction on the loss of redness and sensory properties over time. The lipid and protein oxidation in sheep patties was effectively inhibited by PSE and ***: The present results showed the potential application of PSE as a natural alternative to replace synthetic antioxidants(BHT) for increasing the quality and extending the shelf-life of sheep patties.
