The adsorption of CH3O and H on the (100) facet of gold was studied using self-consistent periodic density functional theory (DFT-GGA) calculations. The best binding site, energy, and structural parameter, as well as the local density of states, of each species were determined. CH3O is predicted to strongly adsorb on the bridge and hollow sites, with the bridge site as preferred one, with one of the hydrogen atoms pointing toward a fourfold vacancy (bridge-H hollow). The top site was found to be unstable, the CH3O radical moving to the bridge –H top site during geometry optimization. Adsorption of H is unstable on the hollow site, the atom moving to the bridge site during geometry optimization. The 4-layer slab is predicted to be endothermic with respect to gaseous H2 and a clean Au surface.

Malware Detection Using Deep Learning

Malware represents a real threat to information systems, because of the damage it causes. This threat is growing today, as these programs take on more complex forms. This means they escape traditional malware detection methods. Hence the need for artificial intelligence, more specifically Deep Learning, which could detect malware more effectively. In this article, we’ve proposed a model for malware detection using artificial neural networks. Our approach used data from the characteristics of machines, particularly computers, to train our Deep Learning algorithm. This model demonstrated an accuracy of around 83% in predicting the presence of malware on a machine. Thus, the use of artificial neural networks for malware detection has shown his ability to assimilate complex, non-linear patterns from data.

This paper gives all the two-dimensional membrane models obtained from formal asymptotic analysis of the three-dimensional geometrically exact nonlinear model of a thin elastic shell made with a Saint Venant-Kirchhoff material. Therefore, the other models can be quoted as flexural nonlinear ones. The author also gives the formal equations solved by the associated stress tensor and points out that only one of those models leads, by linearization, to the "classical" linear limiting membrane model, whose justification has already been established by a convergence theorem.

In Cameroon in general and in the Highlands of Cameroon in particular, there is no fracture map since its realization is not easy. The region’s harsh accessibility and climatic conditions make it difficult to carry out geological prospecting field missions that require large investments. This study proposes a semi-automatic lineament mapping approach to facilitate the elaboration of the fracture map in the West Cameroon Highlands. It uses neural networks in tandem with PCI Geomatica’s LInE algorithm to extract lineaments semi-automatically from an ALOS PALSAR 2 radar image. The cellular neural network algorithm of Lepage et al (2000) is implemented to enhance the pre-processed radar image. Then, the LInE module of Geomatica is applied n>to the enhanced image for the automatic extraction of lineaments. Finally, a control and a validation of the expert by spatial analysis allows elaborating the fracture map. The results obtained show that neural networks enhance and facilitate the identification of lineaments on the image. Background Studies investigating health-related quality of life(HRQoL)in youth with perinatally acquired HIV(PHIV+)are *** study aimed to compare HRQoL of PHIV+to sociodemographic-matched youth not living with HIV(HIV-),Spanish general youth population,and to explore associations between sociodemographic variables,drug consumption,and *** PHIV+youth were randomly selected from CoRISpe database(Cohort of the Spanish Pediatric HIV network).HRQoL was evaluated by *** Thirty-nine PHIV+youth(mean age:23.36 years,SD=3.83)and thirty-nine HIV-youth(mean age:22.97 years,SD=3.80)participated in this ***+obtained lower scores in SF-12 physical health subscale(PCS)than HIV-(P=0.001)and Spanish general youth population(P=0.006).PHIV+had lower scores on the mental health subscale(MCS)than the Spanish general youth population(Pned better scores than those were not at ***+youth who had used cocaine and cannabis had lower scores in MCS(P=0.002).Conclusions There is a need for HRQoL management in the associated medical follow-up.
