Synthesis and enhanced photoluminescence properties of red emitting divalent ion(Ca^(2+))doped Eu:Y_(2)O_(3)nanophosphors for optoelectronic applications

This work presents the synthesis of Y_(2)O_(3):Eu^(3+),χCa^(2+)(χ=0 mol%,1 mol%,3 mol%,5 mol%,7 mol%,9 mol%,11 mol%)nanophosphors with enhanced photoluminescence properties through a facile solution combustion method for optoelectronic,display,and lighting *** X-ray diffraction(XRd)patterns of the proposed nanophosphor reveal its structural properties and crystalline *** transmission electron microscope(TEM)results confirm the change in the shape of the particle and aggregation of particles after co-doping with Ca^(2+).Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and Raman vibrations also confirm the presence of Y-O vibration and subsequently explain the crystalline nature,structural properties,and purity of the *** the synthesized nanophosphors samples emit intense red emission at 613 nm(~5d_(0)→~7 F_(2))under excitation with 235,394 and 466 nm wavelengths of Eu^(3+)*** photoluminescence(PL)emission spectra excited with 235 nm illustrate the highest emission peak with two other emission peaks excited with 466 and 394 nm that is 1.4 times higher than 466 nm and 1.9 times enhanced by 394 nm wavelength,*** emission intensity of Y_(2)O_(3):Eu^(3+),χCa^(2+)(5 mol%)is increased 8-fold as compared to Eu:Y_(2)O_(3).doping with Ca^(2+)ions enhances the emission intensity of Eu:Y_(2)O_(3)nanopho sphors due to an increase in energy transfer in Ca^(2+)→Eu^(3+)through asymmetry in the crystal field and by introduction of radiative defect centers through oxygen vacancies in the yttria *** is also observed that the optical band gap and the lifetime of the~5d_(0)level of Eu^(3+)ions in Y_(2)O_(3):Eu^(3+),xCa^(2+)nanophosphor sample gets changed with a doping conce ntration of Ca^(2+)*** also reveals high thermal stability and quantum yield as estimating activation energy of 0.25 eV and 81%,***,CCT,and color purity values(>98%)show an improved red-emitting nanophosphor in the warm region of light,which m

Immune checkpoint inhibitor-mediated colitis is associated with cancer overall survival

BACKGROUNd Immune checkpoint inhibitor-mediated colitis(IMC)is a common adverse event following immune checkpoint inhibitor(ICI)therapy for *** has been associated with improved overall survival(OS)and progression-free survival(PFS),but data are limited to a single site and predominantly for melanoma *** To determine the association of IMC with OS and PFS and identify clinical predictors of *** We performed a retrospective case-control study including 64 ICI users who developed IMC matched according to age,sex,ICI class,and malignancy to a cohort of ICI users without IMC,from May 2011 to May *** univariate and multivariate logistic regression,we determined association of presence of IMC on OS,PFS,and clinical predictors of ***-Meier curves were gen-erated to compare OS and PFS between ICI users with and without *** IMC was significantly associated with a higher OS(mean 24.3 mo vs 17.7 mo,P=0.05)but not PFS(mean 13.7 mo vs 11.9 mo,P=0.524).IMC was significantly associated with OS greater than 12 mo[Odds ratio(OR)2.81,95%confidence interval(CI)1.17-6.77].Vitamin d supplementation was significantly associated with increased risk of IMC(OR 2.48,95%CI 1.01-6.07).CONCLUSION IMC was significantly associated with OS greater than 12 *** contrast to prior work,we found that vitamin d use may be a risk factor for IMC.

Hepatoprotective potential of ethanolic extract of Ziziphus oenoplia(L.)Mill roots against antitubercular drugs induced hepatotoxicity in experimental models

Objective:To evaluate the hepatoprotective potential of ethanolic(50%) extract of Ziziphus oenoplia(L.) Mill(***) root against isoniazid(INH) and rifampicin(RIF) induced liver damage in animal ***:Five groups of six rats each were selected for the *** extract at a dose of 150 and 300 mg/kg as well as silymarin(100 mg/kg) were administered orally once daily for 21 d in INH + RIF treated *** serum levels of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase(SGOT),glutamate pyruvate transaminase(SGPT),alkaline phosphatase (SALP),and bilirubin were estimated along with activities of superoxide dismutase,catalase, glutathione S-transferase,glutathione peroxidase,and hepatic melondialdehyde formation. Histopathological analysis was carried out to assess injury to the ***:The considerably elevated serum enzymatic activities of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase,glutamate pyruvate transaminase,alkaline phosphatase and bilirubin due to INH + RIF treatment were restored towards norma) in a dose dependent manner after the treatment with ethanolic extract of *** ***,the decreased activities of superoxide dismutase,catalase, glutathione S-transferase and glutathione peroxidase were also restored towards normal dose *** addition,ethanolic extract also significantly prevented the elevation of hepatic melondialdehyde formation in the liver of INH + RIF intoxicated rats in a dose dependent manner. The biochemical observations were supplemented with histopathological examination of rat liver ***:The results of this study slrongly indicate that ethanolic extract of *** has a potent hepatoprotective action against INH + RIF induced hepatic damage in rats.

Investigation of lnter and Intra-fractional Uncertainties in Lung IMRT delivery

Changes in the tumour position due to inter and intra-fractional motion introduce uncertainty in IMRT delivery. In this work, we experimentally evaluated the effect of inter and intra-fractional motion uncertainties in the IMRT delivery. A lung patient was planned with rive field dynamic IMRT for a total dose of60 Gy in 30 fractions using 6 MV photon beam at a dose rate of 400 MU/min. The plan was delivered on varian CL2100 Cd linear accelerator with millennium 120 MLC for a single fraction and measured using IMRT Matri XX placed on Quasar motion platform, aligned with respect to isocentre for planar as well as point dose measurements. This measurement was summated for 30 fractions and taken as a reference. 30 measurements were performed for each inter-fractional, intra-fractional and combined effect. The setup errors(Mean+Sd) used to simulate the inter-fractional displacements were RL:-0.10+0.27 mm, SI: 0.17+0.45 mm, AP:-0.04+0.38 mm and Rot: 0.02+0.86 degree. The intra-fractional motion was simulated using the motion platform parallel to the MLC leaf motion, for an amplitude of 1 cm and a period of 4 s. The planner fluence of inter, intra-fractional motion and combination of both was analyzed against the reference using gamma criteria of 3%/3 mm. Similarly, the point dose measurements were also compared. The maximum deviation in point dose during a single fraction was-3.8%, 3.1% and-5.9% for inter-fractional, intra-fractional and combined respectively. The same resulted in deviation of-0.4%,-0.3% and 0.1% respectively when summated for 30 *** percentage of pixels failing the gamma criteria during a single fraction was28.0%, 16.4% and 28.5% for inter-fractional, intra-fractional and combined respectively. The same revealed 11.4%, 12.4% and 19.2% respectively when summated. Though the point dose deviations were nullified over 30 fractions, the planner fluence variation was observed to be considerable.

Insilico Identification of Genes and Molecular Pathways during Aging in <i>drosophila</i>Brain

The regulation of gene expression in brain vicissitudes during aging is still not much known and explored. differential gene expression and regulation is a key factor involved to identify the important landmarks within the brain transcriptome to study neuronal aging. Recently, transcriptomic studies are highly explored to understand and depict diseased versus normal as next generation sequencing enables to capture the complete biological context to the entire genome. Study of gene expression during aging compared to young flies provides a signature and scenario of gene expression and regulation during aging. In this study, we took advantage of NGS raw data of young and old flies head from SRA database of NCBI and decrypted the gene expression regulation during normal aging in drosophila model. We identified 350 genes with significant differential expression between young and old flies having 0.01% FDR. Various pathways in context to identified genes which are involved in aging include autophagy i.e. cell death and apoptosis, proteolysis, oxidativedana;"> stress, declination grey and white matter and neurotransmitter levels, mitochondrial discrepancy, electron transport chain, sugar degradation pathways, activation of transcription factors involved in epigenetic changes, regulators involved in negative and positive regulation WNT signaling pathways, G protein coupled receptor etc. as all these factors contribute to neurodegeneration and possibly dementia in normal aging. A novel dNA-inspired encryption strategy for concealing cloud storage

Over the last few years,the need of a cloud environment with the ability to detect illegal behaviours along with a secured data storage capability has increased *** study presents such a secured cloud storage framework comprising of a deoxyribonucleic acid(dNA)based encryption key which has been generated to make the framework unbreakable,thus ensuring a better and secured distributed cloud storage ***,this work proposes a novel dNA-based encryption technique inspired by the biological characteristics of dNA and the protein synthesis *** introduced dNA based model also has an additional advantage of being able to decide on selecting suitable storage servers from an existing pool of storage servers on which the data must be stored.A fuzzy-based technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution(TOFSIS)multi-criteria decisionmaking(MCdM)model has been employed to achieve the above-mentioned *** can decide the set of suitable storage servers and also results in a reduction in execution time by keeping up the level of security to an improved *** study also investigates and analyzes the strength of the proposed S-Box and encryption technique against some standard criteria and benchmarks,such as avalanche effect,correlation coefficient,information entropy,linear probability,and differential probability *** the avalanche effect analysis,the average change in cipher-text has been found to be 51.85%.Moreover,thorough security,sensitivity and functionality analysis show that the proposed scheme guarantees high security with robustness.
